ROFL. You supported the nuclear deal with Iran? Ok, now I know you are not conservative. -

Trump's mistake is he trusted his advisors too much. Especially globalist shills like John Bolton and Bob Barr, and then that traitor Mike Pence who certified the election results. -

Trump was one of the best for so many reasons. Not sure why you dislike him so much, and I must assume being a Red Tory, you hate Republicans in general? -

See you agree with me in a sense. Balancing the budget is just common sense and does not make one some rabid right wing conservative - except in the minds of socialists. What if I argues less program spending and more military spending. -
Is Russiophobia one of Trudeau's "Acceptable Views"?
Faramir replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I have a cautious regard for what the Ukraine is going through. I don't like Zelensky and his globalist backers. Too bad the Ukraine didn't have a most honest broker. But hitting maternity centres is above the pale. Akin to the first world war. The British were wrong to think they could put Germany down a notch. But in the end, it was the atrocities that the Germans visited on the French and Belgian towns that turned them into the enemy. Still, then it did not justify US intervention as Wilson was also a globalist sell out, breaking his very election promise to not get involved. Canada of course was still Britain's bitch so we didn't even flinch. America can support the Ukraine from the sidelines but should not get involved. Maybe NOW people will finally take the China threat seriously enough to also sanction them and toss trade agreements with them. Less China in both our economies will do a lot to bring back manufacturing. -

Hmmm..OK...you are able to accept it. I think if Zelensky stepped down it would go a long way assuring those of us against globalism. -

No one is defending Putin. We are just calling into question Zelensky's bad associations. Hillary, Joe and Hunter, Zuckerberg, and Soros - and other anti-American liberals -

They need to get rid of that baboon Zelensky and do some real clean up of all Biden's lackeys in the Ukraine -
Yup. The uni-party all receiving their graft. Remember Hunter and Joe got some good payouts from the Ukraine. Globalist shills. Also they are aligned with Zuckergerg at Facebook. And Soros is also behind Zelensky.

Good point. I think out national telecommunications companies do some of the same thing. Bend over for the government,

Yes, and National Post had a good article talking about how easily the banks bent over on that one.

Sounds like BC is moving that way, but you know there will always be those that want to keep it. -

I will start by summing up this forum as a welcome surprise of moderate Canadians, with a few exceptions. I am use to encountering Huffington Post type of leftists online, so this is strange for me. What many here regard as conservative I would have described as Red Toryism. Never really met so many Red Tories before so its interesting getting their take on things. I don't see ideology as a movable post. It is what it is. Fiscal conservatism is something I would think lies just right of centre. Either that like me you have basically given up. Pushing for government interference as an ideology belongs on the left. So for those who think they embrace the middle view, I have to ask do your ideologies line up the George Bush conservatives? Nation building. War as policy. Providing cover for the Saudi regime? Wanting to send our children into more forever wars? -

That is such alarmist BS. If we REALLY believed global warming we would all move away from the coasts. -

You are not far left but vote NDP. NDP is like Trotskyite. Slightly reformed Bolshevists. -

??? Ideology is EVERYTHING . Even balancing the budget is based on an ideology. I will concur Canadians are generally communists so electing a conservative is a really steep hill to climb. What you are describing is an IDEAL. The idea of responsible government. That I think worked until the rising of Pierre Trudeau. But not anymore. -

??? Could we say the divide is stark among those that care about politics? Or no? Obviously the average Canadian is average. But the movers and shakers another thing. I still see it this way. 1 in 3 is somewhat conservative, most being clones of Mitt Romney. The other 2 of 3 are socialists one way or the other. -

Anyone want to address the fact that the Ukraine contributed to the fake Steele document? I mean I thought liberals were against other countries interfering in US election? -

What do you think of Ukraine cozying up to that little globalist fascist, Zuckerberg?
