They haven’t yet seen the damage Trumps tariffs are going to do to them. -

When the carbon tax comes off, even gas will be less attractive in the US. -

Not really, the only people I know who are still going down are going to Trader Joes for things they can't get in Canada. -

Don't count on that continuing. Our depressed dollar has made the US much less attractive and I don't think you understand how really p*ssed off Canadians are at how they are being treated by people they had always assumed were friends. Never underestimate the animosity of a betrayed partner. We are in Mexico and have friends here from Quebec. They say that all the Quebecers they know who have gone to Florida for years and own homes there are trying to dump their properties and leave. The result is a glut of homes on the market and depressed prices for everyone, not just Canadians. -

Of course but they won't bring anywhere near what he thinks. If companies continue to import, prices will rise because of the tariffs. If companies stop importing, he will collect less tariffs. MAGA's ain't too bright though, they think it is a win win. -
Maybe you should read the article. The stupidity of MAGA never ceases to amaze. Even the dimmest bulb should understand that if people are unwilling to share information because they don't trust you, that makes you weaker, not stronger. As a matter of fact, just about everything Trump is doing will ultimately make the US weaker.

A new PM can cancel it before an election, I'm not even sure they need pariiament. If they make cancelling it the first order of business in parliament before a confidence vote is PP going to vote against it?
