  1. MAID is not killing someone you don't like. You aren't anti killing people, you just want to decide who should be killed. Yes, as long as it is someone else who is suffering you can continue to preach.
  2. You make your choices and leave other's choices to them. Their choice doesn't affect you or anyone else. As long as it is someone else who is suffering, it is your job to make sure it continues. Aren't you the guy who wants to bring capital punishment back? Hypocrite.
  3. We do not have to consider what the Bible has to say, we have freedom of religion and freedom of choice. I find it interesting that it is so many of the anti vax, my body my choice crowd trying to control the choices of others. As long as it is someone else who is suffering. Right?
  4. The mother of a good friend of my daughters was horribly injured when her vehicle was hit by a semi on the Coquihalla connector. She barely survived and was so badly injured she was never able to leave the hospital and in constant pain. Eventually she applied for MAID and it was granted. You would have left her suffering and pumped full of opioids to kill the pain for the rest of what life she had left. And yet you think yourself ethical and compassionate and helping her is murder..
  5. Interesting how all these free dums people are so hot to control other peoples choices.
  6. Another loss for the Orange Loser. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-no-delay-ny-civil-trial-1.6981862
  7. I dunno, join the club and make up whatever you want.
  8. Parliament gave them the job, not the government. The speaker is not part of the government.
  9. It does if you keep hanging around the wrong people. You become known for the company you keep.
  10. He's mostly right. When you look at who is still using it, the US is in mostly bad company. South Korea still has it but is one of the countries that hasn't executed anyone in the last 10 years. Being mistaken doesn't make someone a liar. That word gets used far too much around here.
  11. In the early nineties we used to stay at a hotel on the river not far from the Bahnhof. Between it and the shopping area of Zeil there was a long park that was always full of addicts, you would see guys in vans distributing clean needles. Then one day they were all gone. Don't know where they went or why.
  12. That's how property taxes are determined.
  13. I would say Japan is another. South Korea as well but they hardly ever use it.
  14. It's just over two years till the next election. A lot can happen. It could even be three years if they go to the constitutional maximum of five years between elections.
  15. Well you can spend almost two weeks taking a train and ship from the west coast to Europe or spend nine hours in an airplane. You can spend four days driving from Vancouver to Toronto or spend four hours in an airplane.
  16. Of course they wanted a regime change in Russia. Biden does not want to install a new regime in Russia but I think a lot of people would like to see it change.
  17. Like I said, blind allegiance to a man who does nothing if it doesn't benefit Trump. Doesn't matter what that may be. It's so amusing (and pathetic) that you don't think Trump is one of the elite.
  18. New Yorkers don't like Trump because of his shady business deals and the way he has ripped off creditors, contractors and tenants over the years, burying them in litigation until they can no longer fight back. Now all that shit is catching up on him and he is fighting for his life. That's your hero. Don't like Biden. Fine Don't like Democrats. Fine Don't like Liberalls. Fine I'm not exactly in love with them myself but how so many people can idolize a POS like Donald Trump is beyond me.
  19. Somewhat! When has that man ever admitted to a mistake or apologized to anyone or for anything? He isn’t egocentric, he’s an egomaniac. Donald Trump is the biggest threat to your democracy since the Civil War.
  20. Still, all Trump loves is Trump.
  21. They can try to influence their own caucus, that's all. The speaker's job is to make sure parliamentary rules are followed, as long as they do their job it shouldn't matter what party they are from. I don't know how he was appointed interim, the deputy speaker is a Conservative and the two assistant deputies are NDP and Liberal.
