She didn’t come up with anything at all except fooling wanna-be fascist bozos into donating all their money to her, turning her “nickel amd dime” operation into a multimillion dollar scam machine that has made her rich. The Big Lie is proof of the old adage that a fool and his money are soon parted: True the Vote Raised Millions to Combat Voter Fraud—But No One Really Knows Where the Money Went “As much as I like Catherine personally, I would not give her a penny.” The records show: True the Vote regularly reported loans to Engelbrecht, including more than $113,000 in 2019, according to a tax filing. Texas law bans nonprofits from loaning money to directors; Engelbrecht is both a director and an employee. Companies connected to Engelbrecht and Phillips collected nearly $890,000 from True the Vote from 2014 to 2020. The largest payment—at least $750,000—went to a new company created by Phillips, OPSEC Group LLC, to do voter analysis in 2020. It’s unclear whether OPSEC has any other clients; it has no website and no digital footprint that Reveal could trace beyond its incorporation records. The contract, which one expert called “eye-popping” for its largess, did not appear to be disclosed in the 2020 tax returnthe organization provided to Reveal. True the Vote provided Bopp’s law firm a retainer of at least $500,000 to lead a legal charge against the results of the 2020 election, but he filed only four of the seven lawsuits promised to a $2.5 million donor, all of which were voluntarily dismissed less than a week after being filed. The donor later called the amount billed by Bopp’s firm “unconscionable” and “impossible.” The organization’s tax returns are riddled with inconsistencies and have regularly been amended. Experts who reviewed the filings said it makes it difficult to understand how True the Vote is truly spending its donations. In one instance, True the Vote produced two different versions of the same document. A copy of the 2019 tax return Engelbrecht provided to Reveal does not match the version on the IRS website. The IRS version showed Phillips as a board member. Englebrecht’s version did not. The IRS return showed Engelbrecht had a loan balance of $113,396. Engelbrecht’s version indicated the loan’s balance was gone. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2022/06/catherine-engelbrecht-true-the-vote-raised-millions-to-combat-voter-fraud-but-no-one-really-knows-where-the-money-went/

Once again the only actual Election fraud going on is Republican Former Casino Executive and Ex-Indiana State Senator Sentenced for Election Finance Scheme A former casino executive and a former lawmaker have been sentenced to time behind bars for plotting and carrying out election finance schemes. John Keeler, 72, was sentenced to two months in federal custody after pleading guilty to causing the filing of a false tax return, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Wednesday. Former Indiana State Senator Darryl Brent Waltz, 48, will spend 10 months behind bars after pleading guilty to receiving fabricated donations and lying and misleading FBI agents investigating those illegal contributions, authorities said. https://lawandcrime.com/crime/former-casino-executive-and-ex-indiana-state-senator-sentenced-for-election-finance-scheme/amp/ -

Former GOP congressman arrested on insider trading charges Steve Buyer served as an Indiana representative from 1993-2011. ormer GOP Rep. Steve Buyer was arrested Monday on insider trading charges. According to the complaint, Buyer, who has done consulting work since leaving Congress in 2011, "misappropriated material non-public information that he learned as a consultant and used [it] ... to place timely, profitable securities trades in brokerage accounts in his own name and the names of others." In March 2018, Buyer attended a golf outing with an executive of T-Mobile, one of his consulting clients, from whom he learned about the company's then-nonpublic plan to acquire Sprint, the complaint said. Buyer began purchasing Sprint securities the next day, and, after news of the merger leaked in April 2018, Buyer saw an immediate profit of more than $107,000, according to the complaint. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/gop-congressman-arrested-insider-trading-charges/story?id=87370494 Gee, when the Republican is just a garden-variety crook doing a little insider trading as opposed to being a rapist or trying to commit election fraud and end democracy it’s so anti-climactic isn’t it? This is what passes for a “good guy” in the GOP -

And in “the Volunteer State” the Republicans continue to volunteer for shameless corruption Former Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada, Cade Cothren plead not guilty to federal corruption charges The 20-count indictment stems from a scheme to run a shadowy political consulting firm to get kickbacks and siphon money from the state. Former Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada and his onetime top aide Cade Cothren have been indicted on federal charges following a monthslong corruption investigation. Both face charges ranging from money laundering to bribery and were arrested Tuesday morning, according to a Department of Justice spokesperson. Casada and Cothren were brought into federal court in handcuffs and ankle chains for their initial appearance on Tuesday. They pleaded not guilty during the hearing shortly before noon. Prosecutors allege the pair ran a shadowy political consulting firm fronted by Cothren, operating under a false identity of Matthew Phoenix, to solicit General Assembly business and siphon off kickbacks for personal gain. The allegations are tied to former Rep. Robin Smith, R-Hixson, who resigned and quickly pleaded guilty to a single wire fraud charge last spring under a cooperation agreement with federal prosecutors. https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/2022/08/23/glen-casada-indicted-federal-corruption-investigation-tennessee-republicans-house-general-assembly/9413913002/ -

RealClear Investors and Crest Media is the owner of RealClearPolitics. John McIntyre is the Co-founder & CEO, Tom Bevan is the Co-founder & Publisher, and Erin Waters is the President of the RealClear Media Group. According to Political Wire, RealClear operated a far-right website by the name Conservative Country; while this website is no longer in existence, the associated Facebook Page has 800,000+ followers. The Facebook Page publishes pro-Trump, anti-immigrant, Islamophobic, far-right memes, and information, many of which link back to RealClear properties. RealClear generates revenue through subscriptions and an online advertising model. …Several of the sources used by Real Clear Politics are listed as Mixed factual due to failed fact checks. For example, in this article, the author claims that the Intelligence Community Inspector General must have a whistleblower complaint with “First Hand” information before it can be urgent and credible. This is a false claim. In reviewing original Real Clear Politics articles, there is a right-leaning bias in wording and story selection such as this: Gov. Jerry ‘Moonbeam’ Brown’s Warning to Fellow Democrats. Although this is an opinion piece, it completely lacks sourcing of any kind. In general, the majority of stories from Real Clear Politics come from a right-leaning perspective. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/real-clear-politics/ -

Links to partisan propaganda sites. Shocker “Republican math” there’s an oxymoron for you. Here’s a history of Republican math: “we’ve done the math and can’t see any downside to funding Islamic extremism to prevent the spread of communism in the middle east and arming the Taliban against the Soviets” “We’ve done the math and can’t see any downside to helping anti-communist Latin American death squads and dictators traffic unlimited amounts of cocaine into the United States to finance their bloody civil wars” ”We’ve done the math and our ‘shock and awe’ invasion of Iraq will only last a few weeks, our troops will be greeted as liberators and will not experience any casualties” -
No they’re not 100% true. And you’re lying again Trump never said “stroll” you gaslighting liar. He told his hate-filled mob “I know everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building”. And at the time you tried to claim that is different from saying “march ON the Capitol.” Now you’re moving the goalposts even further and falsely claiming he said “stroll”. Whether you’re shamelessly lying or whether your Trump-addled brain just alters your perception of reality and memory is beside the point. Either way you are fake news incarcerate

Nice try. Nobody colluded with foreign agents other than Trump’s 2016 campaign team and Russian interference hardly targeted both parties equally and was far more than $200k in Facebook ads” Trump’s Big Lie was not only a failed attempt to steal the 2020 election but an attempt to end US democracy as baseless lies w the election was stolen will now be the standard playbook of just about every Republican loser of every election race from now on

They are overtly racist and misogynist. You’re either a fool or being completely dishonest to claim anyone who believes government should not be awarding prizes to essays like this is attacking “free speech”. Nobody is calling for her to be arrested or silenced. EVERYONE on the left and the right believes “we should make Canada a good place for Canadians to raise kids” y its dishonest to suggest that’s all she is trying to do. In fact it is already a good place to raise kids. In fact most would agree that it would be less so if women were removed from the workforce and returned to their traditional role of unpaid domestic servant, completely dependent upon a male guardian for their personal and financial wellbeing. The “immigrants who don’t speak an official language outside of their ethnic enclave” or “clash with our value” is a straw man argument especially given the irony that the sexist racist ideas harboured by this essay are more similar to such immigrants than they are to Canadians. If you really want Canadians to keep their women out of the workplace and at home raising a large brood of kids amd washing your dirty underwear for you, then you should want to import MORE Taliban and tribal types from the third world because that’s where those distinctly un-Canadian ideas are still prevalent. Sorry Bin Laden. Not Sorry.

Fake news, you’ve been double suckered yet again First IRS “agents” are auditors and accountants, they’re not armed, although that’s been a popular Republican lie since Obama took office Second there’s no “army” of 87,000 new IRS “agents”. That’s just the most recent Republican lie based on a year-old memo about how many total staff (including call centre reps, IT employees, etc) the IRS would need to hire over the next 10 years due to forecasted retirements and new compliance measures https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2022/08/15/kevin-mccarthys-mostly-false-claim-about-an-army-of-87000-irs-agents/65401671007/ -

Republican tears up after teen nearly loses her uterus because of anti-abortion law he voted for "That weighs on me," South Carolina state Rep. Neal Collins said, "I voted for that bill" Collins revealed that he had sleepless nights after learning that doctors refused to extract the fetus from a 19-year-old woman whose water broke at 15 weeks of pregnancy. Doctors told Collins there was a "greater than 50% chance that she's going to lose her uterus." He said there was also a 10% chance that the woman could die of sepsis. "That weighs on me," Collins remarked. "I voted for that bill. These are affecting people and we're having a meeting about this. That whole week I did not sleep." https://www.salon.com/2022/08/17/tears-up-after-teen-nearly-loses-her-uterus-because-of-anti-abortion-law-he-voted-for_partner/ Louisiana woman forced to carry fetus missing skull to term or travel to Florida for abortion A woman in Louisiana said that she has been told that she must carry a fetuswithout a skull and part of its head to term or travel out of state to recieve an abortion.… If Ms Davis does want to get an abortion, she will have to travel out of state to Florida. The FBI publicly stating on the eve if the 2016 election that they had “new evidence” of thousands of Hillary’s emails is likely what cost her the election and got Trump elected. Then afterwards it turned out to be a nothingburger and just additional copies of emails they already had. Funny way to be “with her.”

“Harping” after conceding defeat is not at all the same thing as the Big Lie, refusing the orderly and democratic transfer of power in am effort to not only steal the White House but end US democracy in the process by spreading baseless conspiracies, forging election results, sending a violent mob to storm the Capitol, and trying to invent new made-up political procedures to produce the desired results AND impeaching the President is not anywhere the same either. If Bill Clinton can het impeached for lying about a blowjob, Trump can get impeached for lying about his campaigns secret dealings with Russians.
-
No believing election results don’t matter is clearly a Republican tactic. And as already clearly stated and understood by everyone who’s not a deranged Trump supporter, there’s absolutely no similarity between Trump’s Big Lie and those who correctly pointed out Trumps campaign was helped Russian pro-Trump propaganda. Hillary conceded. Nobody claimed the 2016 election results were illegitimate.
-
This is not the same thing as saying “the Nazis issued receipts”. It is specific to a particular situation, not a general practice and is not really a receipt of confiscated assets. Anyhoo, just because your beloved criminal is a politician doesn’t mean he’s being politically persecuted. You are the one toeing the line in the face of obvious corruption.

What a dishonest false comparison. Hillary conceded and acknowledged Trump’s victory. She didn’t claim the election was rigged or that votes country were illegitimate or fraudulent. She did not foment the lie the that the VP (Joe Biden at the time) had the power to unilaterally ignore and throw out the election results at his sole discretion and declare Hillary the winner and her supporters didn’t storm the Capitol trying to lynch him when it didn’t happen. She didn’t launch dozens of baseless amd frivolous lawsuits that cost taxpayers millions and threatened to destroy democracy. She did not pressure state election officials to falsify their vote counts in her favour She did not forge false certificates of electors and try to file them with officials in DC.

File this under the standard “it’s only wrong when the other side does it” excuse. Republicans claim to be party of balances budgets and shrieking over the the debt but the most massive increases come as a result of feckless Republican tax cuts, write-offs and loopholes for their corporate and ultra-rich masters, combined with no-questions-asked defence contracts. Reagan and Bush Sr QUADRUPLED the national debt while being worshipped by Republicans as a fiscal hawk. Bush Jr did something similar on a smaller scale and only DOUBLED the debt during his term.

Wrong. Anyone who will believe far-fetched implausible zero-evidence conspiracy theories espoused by their leader is a cultist Anyone who believes that the only news that can be trusted is “news”that is endorsed by the leader himself and that only supports the leader’s position is a cultist. Anyone who who constantly praises their leaders “greatness” in all things while refusing to admit the leader has ever made any mistakes or has shortcomings is a cultist. Anyone who twists themselves into knots trying to parrot the ever-changing self-contradicting and gaslighting arguments of their is a cultist. The people who carried out the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol are cultists and so are the apologists Only Trump supporters fit the above description. Nobody on this site or on the left in general worships Trudeau or Biden but Trump supporters WORSHIP Trump. Its is as cultist as it gets.
