Are we being gaslighted by the leftists?
Infidel Dog replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here's the difference between the OP's list and yours. His actually happens. Yours is more what you'd like to believe. Something I call, Prog Reality - where it doesn't matter if it's actually real as long as the prog would like it to be real to make his imaginary point. -
Emergency Measures Act - Umm...

When you say "went after" I assume you mean campaigned to them to switch sides. You'd be right. You know what's better though? It worked. Trump's gains among Latino voters shouldn't come as a surprise. Here's why. -
If you have some time and are open to sources your controllers won't allow Blackbird, try this one:\ to see what I'm talking about. Bitch about the source if you'd prefer though, and I'll give you some mainstream science.
-
Drugstore and cloth masks don't work and you don't want to wear the kind that do. And no, I'm not talking about N 95s. Think closer to a Haz Mat suit.

I'm wondering if collectibles like books might be way to go. Even if the Resetters are able to control the whole internet in the future and disappear mentions of lit like Huck Finn or To Kill a Mockingbird those collectibles should still have value. Prog elite never obey their own rules so they'll want them and be willing to pay top dollar.

As I understand it the actual legality of all this may be questionable and they're relying on compliance. The main banks are on board but credit unions are holding back. I'm thinking now though that the solution may be to diversify. Credit Unions, gold and other precious metals, appreciating assets, crypto an American bank and so on.

Can't trust Progs, man, but that's why I'm taking my time. Maybe the And it's only a source supporting a lesser point that the majority of Canadians support lifting the mandates. Even the bit from that you try to baffle us with BS from in that article does not contradict this more central point from the piece: "The survey, conducted by Maru Public Opinion for Postmedia, revealed that 64 per cent of respondents believe that unless hospitals and intensive care units are affected by a sudden surge of COVID-19 patients that compromises the care of other people, governments should lift pandemic restrictions." The central point of the Spectator article is not that but it would be fine with it. Give up. Some of us have active BS detectors.

Did you ever hear the one about how the Progressive President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt made it illegal to own gold?
-
I'm thinking of opening a credit union account, transferring the bulk of my big name Bank accounts there but leaving nominal sums in my big name accounts to leave them open in case I need them for something.
-
Maybe, but is your Prog epidemiologist the only one in the world now? Because I've seen any number of scientific papers and studies suggesting or outright stating that masks don't work. And if you want to get technical the guy's quote you tried to stuff in claiming it was from a different article is identified as "Professor Emeritus." Emeritus is an honorary title for a retired academic. He doesn't appear to be up on the current literature. Now as to the argument the second embedded link to the National Post article was the central point of the Spectator article. Bullshit. The title of the Spectator article is "Trudeau’s totalitarian turn." The title of the National Post article is "Two-thirds of Canadians ready to drop COVID-19 restrictions." Don't piss on our heads and tell us it's raining.

Team Canada wins women’s hockey gold at Beijing 2022
Infidel Dog replied to Infidel Dog's topic in News of the Day's Topics
I posted that so I could post this: We need it these days. A reminder. -
" Team Canada has captured women’s Olympic hockey gold at Beijing 2022. Captain Marie-Philip Poulin scored twice to lead Canada to a 3-2 win over the United States in the gold medal game at Wukesong Sports Centre. Sarah Nurse added a goal and an assist while Ann-Renée Desbiens, stopping 38 of 40 shots, earned the win in net."

Emergency Measures Act - Umm...
Infidel Dog replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Our ironically named deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland tells us this "emergency" measures act is temporary. How many permanent things do we have that were supposed to be temporary. The Americans were told their Patriot act was temporary. Come to think of it...haven't we've been told several times along the way that the pandemic itself is "temporary," then the next thing we know we're told we require more controls on our liberty. So suppose it isn't temporary. Anybody stopped to consider the power Prince Dressup will have with the ability to monitor and control the populace with an all purpose (social credit style) pass and the ability to quell all descend by controlling personal finances? This is the sort of thing that creates talk of tyrants and allows conspiracy theories to become conspiracy fact. -

That's a pretty obsequious yet condescending attempt at censorship. I can answer best with a clip from the lyrics of my favorite song this month: Do you hear the people sing? Singing a song of angry men? It is the music of a people Who will not be slaves again! The blood of the martyrs Will water the meadows of France! Hear it better here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q82twrdr0U -
Emergency Measures Act - Umm...

We could very well be experiencing the Canadian equivalent of a "Reichstag Fire" moment. I read one in a comment somewhere: "You'll own nothing and you'll eat bugs." -
Emergency Measures Act - Umm...
Infidel Dog replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So did Venezuela when Maduro took over. And just so the Progs can swoop in and tell me how I'm no longer allowed to notice because their GODwin said so...so did Germany in 1933. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_Fire_Decree -
Emergency Measures Act - Umm...
Infidel Dog replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wait...I think I have the answer to this mystery of why an anti-convoy guy would be hesitant to tell us the origin of that pic. His OP's point appears to be that he wanted an immediate fascist style violent response to the peaceful convoy protests. So he shows us a pic of a burning police car in a riot but doesn't want to tell us where it's from. I think he's hoping for lazy think assumptions that this is from the Trucker convoy protests. It's from the Toronto G 20 riots of 2010. As you'll recall those riots were the cause of massive human rights claims. Toronto police paid through the nose for them. $16.5 million is what I heard. When "The blood of the martyrs waters the meadows of France" there can be unfortunate repercussions. The OP appears to prefer you didn't notice. -

In answer to what appears to be the query of this this thread though... The ultimate objective of the nascent tyrant is, of course, totalitarian rule. So they create a problem with authoritarian undemocratic edicts then when there's enough of a stink they offer a solution. It's what they do. -

I don't know why he's so hesitant to answer such a simple question. It's easy enough to find: https://tineye.com/search/3534b56edf78b9508bd0a5a684f83da169959b5e?sort=score&order=desc&page=1 " the Toronto G20 summit in June, 2010" -
And it isn't just vaccines or deaths. Mask mandates for kids is child abuse. Even they know it: Seeing as you want to accuse me of wanting to kill people, why do you want to abuse children?
-
And it isn't just Myocarditis. "The average number of adverse event reports following vaccination for the past 10 years has been about 39,000 annually, with an average of 155 deaths. That’s for all available vaccines combined. The COVID jabs alone now account for 983,756 adverse event reports as of December 17, 2021, including 20,622 deaths — and this doesn’t include the underreporting factor, which we know is significant Children are at risk for potentially lifelong health problems from the jab. Myocarditis (heart inflammation) has emerged as one of the most common problems, especially among boys and young men."
-
You don't know what you're talking about. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2788346
-
Why do you? Adverse affects of the "vaccine" such as Myocarditis kill people. The suicide rate (especially among young people) sky rocketed during the mandates. Why do you want to kill children?
-
The political pressures for vaccine mandates has everything to do with Big Pharma.
-
Yes. So why would you think it's vaccine mandates and not other factors such as population density, culture, politics or genetics that might explain why Canada might do better than some countries in particular stats and worse than others?
