  1. Well, we had the option to attack Buenos Aires last time but decided it would upset the Americans too much.
  2. It's a whole new world where tanks and aircraft carriers are heading towards obsolescence? Just as we've built 2 Elizabeth class carriers.
  3. Is high manoeuvrability not useful in evading missile attacks or is that just Top Gun fiction?
  4. Are we approaching the point where the squishy meat bag is no longer an asset and more of a liability on the battlefield? Human frailty already limits what a fighter can do in terms of manoeuvrability in the air.
  5. No it doesn't. Plenty of illegal immigrants have been returned to their country of origin. We just can't deport people to countries where they will be unsafe.
  6. Damn them human rights, who needs them? You can renew a lot of ties without re-joining the EU. Closer trading with fewer regulations, cross border checks etc.
  7. England wouldn't be in the Euros' final under Sunak. We'd have been knocked out by the Swiss in the round of 16.
  8. Yeah, yeah, these same people think that 'Woke' is the biggest issue facing us today.
  9. There's a big difference between a mutually beneficial union and the third Reich. Democracy for a start.
  10. Where did I call anyone stupid? As for criminal, Boris was ruled to have shut down Parliament unlawfully by the Supreme Court and was charged, found guilty and fined by the police over 'Partygate'. Then there were all the lies. Lies on a bus about an extra £350 million a week for the NHS. Lies about ''oven ready deals'' and 80 million Turks coming to the UK unless we left the EU. Lies about sovereignty, lies about the money we'd save. So yeah I'm a little bitter and I've got every right to be.
  11. ''Bitter Remainer'' is a rather emotive response to a reasoned statement about Boris's law breaking. However, bitter is the correct feeling to have when you've been f@cked without lube and not even had the offer of a reach around.
  12. Just five increasingly incompetent and corrupt Prime ministers and no more. Fool us once shame on them, fool us five times...
  13. They had no plan at all. That's why it took 4 years to actually leave and why BoJo got caught lying to the Queen and illegally shutting down Parliament so he could sneak in a no deal exit without parliamentary scrutiny. Rule number one Boris, Parliament is supreme. It's the reason your 'return of sovereignty' mantra was such bullshit. Every rule, regulation or law from Europe had to go before the Westminster Parliament. Good riddance to the Brexiteers, hopefully Nu Labour can start to repair the damage done and move us back closer to the EU.
  14. That's not actually true. The Tories and Reform together only just added up to more votes than Labour. When you take into account the Lib Dems, Green Party, SNP, Sinn Fein, Plaid Cymru votes for the left were well ahead. The main reason Labour got so many seats though was Reform splitting the vote on the right. Their 5 seats cost the Tories up to 100 seats. Thanks Manfrog.
  15. You seem to think the current Labour party is going to be some kind of left wing socialist government. This is the party that threw their last leader (Corbyn) out for being too much of a lefty. He had to stand as an Independent to retain his seat in Parliament.
  16. It's the Tories who have been in power for the last 14 years who have let all the migrants in. Mostly on perfectly legal work visas. A few thousand desperate people on small boats are pretty much an irrelevance in comparison. Besides, in an aging population who is going to pay my pension, if not hordes of tax paying migrants?
  17. Manfrog isn't the opposition no matter how many times he says he is. Reform is just a protest vote resulting in less than 1% of the seats in Parliament. All of which will most likely get booted out in 5 years. The swivel eyed loon is just a wannabe.
  18. That wasn't a reaction to some 'woke Bolsheviks' getting elected though was it. In fact it made little difference which party was in power to the Provo's. Nothing like the far right reaction you are hoping for because the electorate threw the failed and corrupt Tories out.
  19. Meh, we don't do radical old bean. Not since 1945 and the creation of the NHS. Even after the Thatcher regime we went Tory wet with Sir John Major and then Tory light with New Labour. This latest 'Nu Labour' is just another Tory light government. The only bright thing that has happened is that I have a shiny new Green Party MP in my constituency. The Lib Dems and their legalise pot pledge got over 70 MPs but with Labour having a huge majority of 172 seats nobody else will have any power or influence for at least 5 years. It's just going to be more of the same austerity government with the only change being a different boot on our neck.
  20. Ahem, all parties use the word manifesto and have always done so.
  21. That is Beki Bondage of Vice Squad.
  22. The Jocks lost 5-1 to the Fatherland in the Euros.
