The Liberals won... barely.
Lost the popular vote, but even worse, had a minus 6% drop in popular vote compared to last election. The NDP didn't fare better, as they lost 3% of the popular vote compared to 2015.
Now the Liberals, with 157 MPs, will not work with the Bloc Québécois often, and thus will need the support of another progressive party, the waivering NDP to pass laws and budgets. It means that the NDP may now bargain for a more left wing program every time the Liberals advance something in the House of Commons.
I'm a bit worried about living in a Socialist-Lite Country, but this is what voters voted for. And it may not last very long anyway.
