    Problem isn’t removing Maduro. It’s what comes after. America has learned nation building is not something it’s good at. Iraq being a similar strong man style led country. Japan, Taiwan, South Korea are successful because they already had established institutions by the time America took over. And to get any oil out of Venezuela, you would indeed need to Nation Build.

    Think about it, the provinces all trade with America, that makes you all economic competitors with one another. The trade barriers exist because of that underlying fundamental reason.     And let’s not forget the infrastructure required for interprovincial commerce. It’s easier to trade with a larger population center south of the border than to build new infrastructure to reach the sparsely populated areas of Canada

China, Europe, South America are all facing similar trends. nope, after the kids move out of the house consumption plummet. It’s wealth and investment building for retirement time. Yes older population has high capital but low consumption at retirement. No need for a car or house, those are paid off by then.

    The world is aging into mass retirement with one exception, the United States whose baby boomer did have enough children the millennial. Thus for the next 30 years America will remain the youngest of the larger western countries and can still support a consumption based economy. Without a young population, the only known economic growth would be export, something America is keen on charging for access. Hence, b!tch all you want but you’re going to have to pay to play.

    Correct, but times are different now. The Soviet Union was defeated. The world war ravaged economies combined are larger than the US, they do not need special tariff exemptions and should pay their fair share of defense costs.

    It’s not self evident. America would be rid of NATO deadbeats and defense obligation to economic competitors who trades with China. China is going away for demographic reasons alone. So not a long term threat, the keyword being longterm.

    It’s not good enough that I know. My fellow country men has to agree. Why should we pay for another alliance economic or otherwise. You can thank Stalin for that. But again, the Soviets are defeated , why should we maintain the global order or in layman terms, care?

    They both are sub replacement in fertility, by 2040 the average Indian would be older than the average American, China would have ceased to exist as a coherent economic society by then. Canadian manufacturers are not globally competitive, your work forced has aged past retirement.

    Canada is absolutely making grievances out of thin air. Canada is the aggressor, it was graciously offered Statehood, refused and attempted to meddle in American affairs illegitimately. Canada is lucky to only be slapped on the wrist with an additional 10% tariff.

    Wut? Such as not paying your NATO bills right? I don't think Russian history supports that notion. It's Russia who is looking to expand westward. They've been doing so ever since the Soviet Union collapsed. They're trying to regain their lost territory of the Warsaw pact. Russia doesn't want Ukraine, they want Poland, Romanian and the Baltic countries.
