  1. That shows you how warped your thinking really is. No comparison with undocumented migrants. Nobody is breaking into your home.
  2. Maybe if your beloved Liberal government had not made all the soft-on-crime laws and easy bail, you would have half of the crime you have now. Perhaps stop voting for Liberals or NDP for a change and stop releasing dangerous offenders on bail constantly and releasing dangerous offenders and murderers from prison far too early. Do you seriously think the Liberal policies are not a major cause of all the crime? A judge recently released a man on bail who had assaulted his wife. Then he went out and beat her to death with a hammer. Thank the liberals. Who are the real criminals making hundreds of thousands a year on taxpayer's backs.
  3. Yep, and America just lost a good person. She was a hard working woman, working 12 hours a day and lived in America for 36 years since she was 15. She may have gone to a better place. America is controlled by the super wealthy who think they are purifying America, but money isn't everything. Love for our fellow man is more important than money and a good relationship with God is what really counts. I wish her all the best.
  4. No it doesn't tell you that. The quotas are set by the President. Politics has a large part in it and what the mood is in the country is, particularly which party is in power, even though refugee acceptance is supposed to be governed by the international convention on refugees. It should not be a political chess game. Should you treat your fellow human beings like scum and just say they're all talking BS? How do you know that? Do you really think someone that thinks like you should be a judge on who is accepted into the country? Sounds like you've already made the decision for all refugees.
  5. No, I don't agree. If a person is trying to protect himself or his family from harm, they are just acting in self defence. Lot of those countries where they came from are dangerous with gangs, criminals, and poverty. Your harsh attitude comes through clearly, just like User. No humanity.
  6. That is a very difficult process which is affected by many things besides the situation of the refugee. Under Trump the number of asylum claims being accepted has been reduced. "In 2025, the U.S. allowed 125,000 refugees to enter the country. The number of asylum seekers in the U.S. varies each year, with 685,956 immigrants granted asylum or another form of relief from deportation in 2020." One article says 90% of asylum claims from Mexico are rejected. Could be even more rejected under Trump. This website shows a chart with the numbers admitted over the years. This year only about 27,000 asylum claims were accepted. In 1980 they accepted about 210,000 refugee claims. In 2020 they accepted about 12,000. That was during Trump's time in office. There is conflicting reports on some of these figures.
  7. You know as well as anyone that it is very difficult to be accepted by claiming asylum at a port of entry. It simply doesn't work for most people.
  8. This is another outright lie. I showed you explicitly how you lied over and over again and then you cowardly put me on ignore and ran away. No it wasn't a lie. I clearly recall you constantly accused me of lying without giving any quotes to show what the lie was. Anybody would get tired of your comments and put you on ignore. Just like you continue to do. My opinions are not lies. They are opinions. You use the forum to accuse anybody you disagree with of lying. Sick.
  9. It is a matter of opinion simply because if people have a good reason for doing something such as escaping threats to their life or family, it cannot be considered a criminal act. That is just common sense. Immigration or migrants are necessary for the economy of a country. " According to a Gallup poll from October 2024, 21% of Americans view immigration as the most pressing non-economic concern. A joint study by Brookings, AEI, and the Niskanen Center analyzed high- and low-immigration scenarios under each candidate’s plan and found that net immigration would be far higher under Harris’s policies, with a forecasted net migration of 3.7 million in 2025 vs. Trump’s forecasted net migration of 740,000. Such differences in immigration levels would directly impact economic growth. Harris’s policies could expand the labor force and boost GDP, while Trump’s measures could reduce GDP growth by as much as half a percentage point in 2025 alone—equivalent to about $130 billion. A Peterson Institute study warns that mass deportations under Trump’s plan would create inflationary pressures by shrinking the labor supply, driving up the cost of goods and services by several percentage points annually throughout his second term. Expanding legal immigration, as Harris proposes, could address labor shortages in key sectors without negatively affecting native-born employment. Research by economists Giovanni Peri and Alessandro Caiumi showed that immigration raised wages for less-educated U.S.-born workers by between 1.7 and 2.6% between 2000 and 2019, and had no significant negative impact on employment among college-educated natives. Are immigrants good or bad for the economy? Immigrants play a critical role in driving economic growth, entrepreneurship, and innovation, as they are substantially more likely to start businesses than native-born individuals with similar characteristics. About half of all Fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrants or their children, and such contributions fuel the economy by creating jobs and boosting productivity. Additionally, immigrants contribute more in federal income and payroll taxes than they receive in federal benefits, further strengthening public finances. Immigration also helps control inflation by increasing labor market flexibility, making the economy more responsive to shifts in demand. While the federal government reaps the long-term rewards of immigration through income taxes, states and local communities face the immediate financial and cultural burden of absorbing new arrivals. This misalignment creates resistance to immigration at the local level; however, some economists have suggested federal transfers to states and municipalities to provide the support needed to manage short-term costs, making communities more receptive to immigration." 10. No, it is not a criminal offence. You constantly accuse me of lying without saying specifically what the lie was. You just said it without quoting what I said that was a lie. Therefore nothing you say can be trusted. If you were being honest, you would quote the actual lie I told and we could see if you are telling the truth, but you don't quote it. "MYTH #1: Anyone who enters the country illegally is a criminal. Facts : Being an undocumented (or “illegal”) immigrant has been, until now, only a civil, not a criminal violation. Under federal immigration law, unlawful presence in this country is a civil offense. The civil penalty for being in this country unlawfully is deportation, or removal, which the U.S. Supreme Court has held is not “criminal punishment.” However, some states—like Arizona—are trying to criminalize an undocumented immigrant’s mere presence." 5 MYTHS ABOUT UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS You will have to admit it is the MAGA states like Arizona that hate immigrants the most and want them treated like criminals. Democrats like less likely to treat them as criminals. The truth is you believe undocumented immigrants are criminals. But many many Americans do not believe that. There are websites like the one or two I quoted that say they are not criminals. So it is a matter of opinion. OPINION IS NOT A LIE IF THERE IS REASON TO BELIEVE IT. You don't understand the difference between a lie and an opinion. You have a serious problem.
  11. Illegal immigrants, that is, undocumented migrants, are not typically considered as criminals. Only people like you call them criminals, but you're lying. Undocumented Immigrants Are Not Criminals | U.S. Immigration Law Counsel
  12. Oh yes, the Al Capone defense. Sure I'm a criminal over here but I also run soup kitchens so I'm a net benefit. I can be as criminal as i like as long as i'm also a productive citizen. BS. Being an undocumented immigrant is not normally considered as a criminal offence. So quit your lying. They are not criminals unless an actual criminal offence is committed. I am not talking about people who have been convicted of a criminal offence. We're talking about undocumented immigrants which is totally different. quote Undocumented Immigrants Are Not Considered Criminals Millions of people from all over the world have legally entered the US and overstayed their visas, but this type of act does not make them criminals. Instead, they are considered undocumented, which is a civil violation under US law and not a criminal one. To be considered a criminal, an undocumented immigrant must first have committed a criminal act unrelated to their immigration status. unquote Undocumented Immigrants Are Not Criminals | U.S. Immigration Law Counsel
  13. I disagree. Many came from very bad places and are desperate and were just trying to survive. You would do the same thing. We have a lot of fakery on here. You don't know what it's like unless you were in their shoes.
  14. Nonsense. If they are working, they are contributing to the economy and good for the country. They should be given permanent residency status if they are not real criminals and are working. Many of them have been in the U.S. for many years, some decades. The only reason they're being arrested and deported is for Trump to look like the tough guy as he claims they are all criminals the way he speaks. He is trying to look good with his insane MAGA base and look like he is fulfilling his promise to deport millions. You have fallen for all the BS.
  15. " The scapegoating of ethnic and religious minorities is well-tread historical ground in the United States, and immigrants have always made for an easy target. Chinese, Irish, Italian, Muslim, Mexican—all these people and more have been falsely accused of bringing crime into the United States, particularly during times of economic or political unease. Today, some politicians are peddling the same, tired myth, this time of a “migrant crime surge” among immigrants who recently arrived in the country. However, a robust body of research shows that welcoming immigrants into American communities not only does not increase crime, but can actually strengthen public safety. In fact, immigrants—including undocumented immigrants—are less likely to commit crimes than the U.S.-born. This is true at the national, state, county, and neighborhood levels, and for both violent and non-violent crime. The American Immigration Council compared crime data to demographic data from 1980 to 2022, the most recent data available. The data showed that as the immigrant share of the population grew, the crime rate declined. In 1980, immigrants made up 6.2 percent of the U.S. population, and the total crime rate was 5,900 crimes per 100,000 people. By 2022, the share of immigrants had more than doubled, to 13.9 percent, while the total crime rate had dropped by 60.4 percent, to 2,335 crimes per 100,000 people. Specifically, the violent crime rate fell by 34.5 percent and the property crime rate fell by 63.3 percent." 16. What's the point of arresting undocumented migrants who are working in jobs and earning an honest living and not criminals? Arresting, imprisoning them and deporting them just for the purpose of obtaining political brownie points with his base seems to be what it is all about. But taking people out of productive jobs in farming, service industries, and other jobs is only hurting America. All this kind of hunting down migrants is based purely on lying politics to gain power and nothing to do with what's good for America. It is being done in the most spectacular way possible to look tough to the base.
  17. Noticed ExFlyer gave me a thumbs down for the OP... ???? what is the matter with this guy? Is he brain dead? Wants to let dangerous offenders out on bail after they attacked a woman??? Anyone who thinks that is ok needs to be locked up in a mental institution.
  18. This is a major issue affecting many victims and cities across Canada. Yet Carney says and does nothing about it. A young woman in Kelowna BC was assaulted by her estranged husband or boyfriend not long ago. The judge released the accused man on bail even though he tried to kill her. Not long after that he beat her to death with a hammer. Yet Carney and Liberals do nothing to change the bail laws that allow this kind thing to happen. As I recall the police chiefs and police associations and Premiers across Canada urgently pleaded with the Trudeau government a number of years ago to do something about the failed bail system, but nothing was done. This is urgent enough to recall Parliament and change the laws that allow this kind of thing to happen. It would save lives and prevent more attacks.
  19. Don't ever go there. I doubt you would survive it. Stay in mom's basement.
  20. I guess you would say the same thing about any prison anywhere. Easy when you're not there.
  21. Did you know that Satan and his demons are behind much of what is going on in the world? Yes, read the King James Bible and learn about it. Billions of people are totally deceived and under Satan's control. So expect what the Bible says to come true....wars, anarchy, and chaos. I see it even in churches today. People who are defending the corrupt, modern versions of the Bible and attacking the King James Bible because it is God's real written word. The Devil hates it and is doing everything he can to shut it down, even in churches that claim to be defenders of the truth, i.e. in English, the King James Bible. For those who don't know what I am talking about, the King James Bible is based on the Received Text or Majority Text, while modern versions are following several corrupt manuscripts. It is a case of 95 or 99% of the manuscripts supporting the KJV and 1 % behind the modern corrupt versions. Read these books online: New Age Bible Versions : G. A. 22. It is insane to believe a man, even a President and billionaire, can unilaterally himself change the Constitution and say who is a citizen and who is not. What madness! Trump's birthright citizenship efforts blocked by judge's ruling " CONCORD, New Hampshire − A federal judge again barred President Donald Trump's administration from enforcing his executive order limiting birthright citizenship nationwide after the Supreme Court restricted the ability of judges to block his policies using nationwide injunctions. U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante in Concord, New Hampshire, made the ruling July 10 after immigrant rights advocates implored him to grant class action status to a lawsuit they filed seeking to represent any babies whose citizenship status would be threatened by implementation of Trump's directive. Laplante agreed the plaintiffs could proceed as a class, allowing him to issue a fresh judicial order blocking implementation of the Republican president's policy nationally."
  23. Very tiring conversation. How many times do people have to point out that Israel is just trying to defend itself from terrorists? If the terrorist groups like Hamas, and the others would just disband, give up their weapons and agree to not fight against Israel any more, the war would end immediately. If the Palestinians stopped teaching their kids to hate the Jews and agreed Israel has a right to exist, and terrorists were gone, there would no more fighting. So it's all in the hands of the terrorist groups, Iran, and Palestinians. As far as I know, Hamas has not agreed to surrender and disband itself in Gaza. They won't give up all the hostages either. What does that tell you? Nothing more to say about it.
  24. Not asking you to. That's entirely up to you what you believe. Nobody is perfect. We are all sinners and done things in our past that we regret. His death at 49 will be hard for his family to take and the fact he died in ICE custody raises questions about what kind of care he received as he was an epileptic who required medication. quote Anti-seizure medications (ASMs) can effectively prevent or stop seizures in about 70% of people with epilepsy1234. However, it is important to follow your doctor's instructions and take medications as prescribed to maximize their effectiveness. unquote
  25. He was sent to prison in 2023 for two years but applied for probation and received it. Since his sentence was only two years so he may not have been a big time criminal. He and his father were buying prescription opioids from people and reselling them apparently. The Trump admin decided to deport anybody with any kind of criminal record. To meet a quota target of 3,000 arrests per day, he was arrested and sent to a prison where he died at age 49. He had something called epilepsy and required medication to prevent seizures. The question is did ICE give him the medication to prevent seizures? "Johnny Noviello suffered from epilepsy, requiring daily medication to prevent seizures1. He was found unresponsive at a federal detention center and medical staff responded immediately to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation2. ICE claims he received medical care in a global news article but it doesn't mention whether he was receiving his medication. " Falling or choking is a concern among people living with epilepsy — but it’s not the only one. The risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) is also a fear. If you or a loved one has seizures, a number of questions might run through your mind. For example, can you die from an epileptic seizure? Or, can you die from a seizure in your sleep? The short answer is yes, but while possible, death from epilepsy is also rare. When you hear of someone dying from a seizure, you might assume the person fell and hit their head. This can happen. SUDEP, however, isn’t caused by injury or drowning. It refers to a death that’s sudden and unexpected. Most, but not all, deaths occur during or right after a seizure. The exact cause of these deaths is unknown, yet researchers believe an extended pause in breathing leads to less oxygen in the blood and suffocation. Another theory is that the seizure causes a fatal disruption in heart rhythm, resulting in the heart stopping. Each year there are 1.16 incidents of sudden death for every 1,000 people with epilepsy, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Trusted Source. Experts believe it’s likely that many SUDEP cases aren’t reported and so the number of SUDEP cases may be higher." Can You Die from a Seizure? What to Know If You Have Seizures "Anti-seizure medications (ASMs) can effectively prevent or stop seizures in about 70% of people with epilepsy1234. However, it is important to follow your doctor's instructions and take medications as prescribed to maximize their effectiveness." So it seems to depend on whether he received anti-seizure medication. Not receiving it could be the cause of his death.
