Canada's culture is based on western civilization or Judeo-Christian culture, much the same as America and western Europe. So our values and beliefs are basically founded on our European founding fathers, much the same as American values and beliefs (culture). Our culture has been confused and watered down somewhat by the importation of millions of immigrants from the third world who do not share our Judeo-Christian culture. They brought heathen religions and cultures. This is all supposed to be accepted as normal or progress under the banner of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism has been a failure where it has been tried. It leaves us with no core identity and no clear culture. But that is the liberal idea of progress (or progressivism). The reason it is done is to provide a massive labour pool because liberals and the left don't want to have traditional families and produce many offspring. Or they want to be free to work until most of their child-bearing life is used up and they can only have one child. This means the European founding people will disappear because Caucasian Canadians are not reproducing the minimum 2.1 children per family. This is the liberal idea and the consequences. This is another reason the liberals are setting up $10 a day national childcare. In their mind working women creates a better society than mothers at home looking after their children. If liberals could they would probably embrace a mandatory one-child policy as China did in the past. The ideology fits in better with Communist or Marxist ideology. It would fit in perfectly with Chairman Mao's playbook. Marxists in Canada are demanding to make everything a right, guaranteed income, housing, food, dental, drugs, etc., anything that will take care of them from cradle to grave. They believe nobody should have to work hard, get an education or skill and support themselves. They believe the state should provide everything. This is the direction Canada is heading. China's culture and belief system is entirely different. They have become a Marxist-Leninist state and worship Chairman Mao. This means totalitarianism and no personal human rights or democracy. Whatever the collective represented by the Communist Party of China decrees must be the absolute rule. They have no interest in western culture, democracy, or freedoms and human rights. They view such things as anarchy and against the collective. China's system of totalitarianism go back thousands of years. President Xi is a Maoist (Marxist-Leninist) and his ambition is to dominate the world. That means spreading Marxist ideology to other nations. Human rights for individuals and democracy never really took hold in China and it has no chance of taking hold in the foreseeable future. Liberals live under the illusion that they can somehow change China and it will become like a western nation. They are dreaming. It will never happen. Canada is far more likely to become Marxist like China than China become liberal like the west. American conservatism is more aligned with western traditional values of family, turkey dinner on thanksgiving and Christmas, individual freedom and human rights. It better aligns with our historic Judeo-Christian values. The recent Democrats lean more toward Socialism, liberalism, progressivism, globalism (mass immigration) and multiculturalism and are therefore much like Trudeau and Canadian liberals. So we have a divide that is not good. The influence of Marxism has crept into America, Canada and the west. Canada has no clear culture of it's own other than the remnants of our European heritage. Multiculturalism is not a unifying culture and never will be. Neither is liberalism or progressivism a culture. It is a destructive force that destroy society. No. The Europeans brought civilization to the aboriginals. Never stole anything. Created jobs over a hundred years ago, set up fish canneries on the coast, started logging and sawmills, brought tools and knowledge to them, built homes out of lumber, brought all the conveniences of a civilized society, brought justice systems, education, medical care, etc. etc. and of course brought the gospel. My perspective is based on the Bible teaching that man has a soul and a spirit and the soul does not die when man dies. I have not been to those places or situations so can't say anything about that particular aspect. Only what I've seen on the tube, movies, or read. But I don't think the existence of such places proves that God is not everywhere. I have become convinced that God revealed himself through his written word, in English, the King James Bible. He did warn there would be wars, etc. until he returns, which could be any time. We need to be ready. As far as God being in bad places like Somalia, we are told God is a spirit and separate from the material world. He created the universe and man, but he is not a material being himself. He is still there as a spirit and is particularly with those who believe in his Son in a special way. This is a spiritual presence, but real nonetheless. He has given man free will; hence all the evil things men choose to do. But there is a day coming in which he will rule the earth and there will be no more wars or suffering.

The graph shows how global warming did not occur at the same rate as changes in man-made CO2. If proves man-made CO2 is the main cause of climate change and not the culprit that many people think. The rates of global warming varied greatly during the 120 year period, while the increase in man-made CO2 was a relatively smooth increase. So it shows you cannot link man-made CO2 to global warming as the main cause. There has to be other natural causes such as the water vapour which is a major reason for the greenhouse effect, but also the changes could be related to solar radiation and other factors. Also man's contribution to the CO2 in the atmosphere is miniscule 18 PPM out of a total of 410 PPM currently. 97% of the CO2 is natural and required for life on earth. Notice between 1880 to 1910 (30 year period) there was a drop in atmospheric temperature from plus 0.1 degrees C to minus 0.3 degrees C; yet the man-made CO2 did not drop but continued to increase slowly and evenly. We could debate the Northern Gateway endlessly. There are thousands of km of pipelines criss-crossing north America. Nothing wrong with having a pipeline through the wilderness. Most of Canada is wilderness and they have to go somewhere. The wilderness in northern B.C. and the coast covers thousands of square kilometers. A spill can be cleaned up and it would only be in a small area. It is not going to destroy the wilderness. There are also thousands of jobs at stake in the energy industry. We need pipelines. Trudeau killed the Northern Gateway pipeline project after years of study. Nuclear and solar is not a legitimate substitute for oil and gas.
