  1. If you look at the immigration policies of many other countries, you will find many of them do not allow just anybody to immigrate to their country. Some hardly allow anyone into their country. A country has the sovereign right to determine who comes in. I don't agree with the globalists who think Canada should be open to the world and anyone can come here.
  2. My proposal is only a point of view. A point of view is allowed in Canada under freedom of expression. It is not illegal to express a point of view on immigration policy. We still live in a society which has a certain amount of freedom even if it goes against your own political correctness. Laws can be changed by parliament. Any law which exists can be changed at any time by parliament. Canada is a sovereign country and can set it's immigration policy any way it chooses. As a sovereign nation Canada has the right to allow in whoever it chooses. There are certain religious groups or ideologies that do not assimilate into Canadian society. The government already discriminates in it's immigration policy, i.e. the point system. You pointed it out yourself. A sovereign country has the right to choose who it wishes to bring into it's country. I understand your point about people who are already here. I don't oppose those who are here. Many of them do contribute a net benefit to Canada. That is not the point. We are talking about immigration policies which can be changed to protect Canada's future. Your idea of cultural marxism is destroying Canada and other countries. There is such a thing as Canadian values. Bringing people in who oppose our values and want to change Canada will destroy what we have here.
  3. We should not be involved in Haiti at all. We need to get out of that place and have nothing to do with it. It's a disaster zone and they will only bring troubles to Canada.
  4. All these illegals pouring into Quebec these last number of days will certainly be costly for Canada. This can partly be blamed on Trudeau for sending invitations over Twitter. Many of them came here because they understood from what he said that they were welcome here. These people have been led to believe they can successfully claim refugee status in Canada. 70% of them come from Haiti originally but have been sheltered in the U.S. as an interim measure because of natural disasters in Haiti, which is not considered a country where they would be persecuted so probably wouldn't qualify as refugees. Why Trudeau put out the invitation that (all) refugees are welcome here is a mystery because many if not most may be sadly disappointed when their cases go before the refugee board. According to some the waiting period could be years, meaning the cost for accommodation and food, etc. to Canada could be huge. They likely cannot work here because they do not have work permits. They could have stayed in the U.S. and claimed social assistance but now will be Canada's responsibility. Today the immigration minister put out a different message saying they should stay in the U.S. The end result is that the government is putting out mixed messages that will cost Canada millions of dollars before it is over, which might be years. In addition, Montreal has proclaimed itself a sanctuary city even though they have not yet provided proper accommodation for the migrants, thousands of whom may have to sleep in crowded conditions in an arena.
  5. Are there limits to what freedom of religion can mean?
  6. Are you misogynistic? How can you support a religious ideology which discriminates against women and welcome it into Canada?
  7. Then you don't understand christianity. (biblical christianity, not some of the denominational kinds or Romanism kinds which have departed from the Bible in many ways) We are living in perilous times when men shall be lovers of themselves as the Bible says. I'm not surprised you have a dim view of it. History is full of bad things that have happened. But the Bible remains true even if many do not follow it very well, including myself.
  8. So you didn't tell the truth about Islamophobia. You just said it was inciting hatred or inciting violence. Now you are admitting just opposing Sharia law is prejudice and Islamophobia. I think I get where you are coming from. You support promoting Islam and Sharia law, correct?
  9. Apparently some tried to have Sharia law brought into Ontario, but it was rejected. Yes it is an issue because a certain percentage of Muslims in the UK apparently think it should be brought in. What is happening in Europe could be a prediction of what could happen here once the they have the numbers.
  10. What about being opposed to Sharia law, Islam or teachings in it and speaking against it? Would that be Islamophobia?
  11. So what exactly is Islamophobia in your mind?
  12. I am interested in learning a little more about it. Don't fear learning about it. Knowledge about such things can never hurt, unless you are afraid it might colour your view of Islam.
  13. Here is a website which talks about a major difference in Islam when it comes to rape. You might want to take a look at this. http://thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/rape-adultery.aspx It says in Islamic law, rape can only be proven if a rapist confesses or there are four male witnesses who are willing to testify. How often will you find that?
  14. Yes. I will see what I can find on this.
  15. Would like to look into this further.
  16. You don't think the fact you have been living in a non-Muslim country might have been a reason you were molested or raped by non-Muslims rather than Muslim men. In some countries in the middle east, a western woman is not allowed to go out by herself and must live in a guarded, secure compound because of the risk to her.
  17. You ignored my point. There is a difference between hate crimes and terrorist attacks by jihadists. You still don't get it.
  18. I get the impression from the way you worded that sentence that you think it is a common occurrence, which is far from the truth. The attack in Quebec City was not a common occurrence, thankfully. It happened, but it is false to make the statement that it is a common occurrence. That is a very rare occurrence. A terrorist attack against a Muslim by a non-Muslim is very rare in the world. The fact is thousands of people are being killed every week or month around the world by jihadists, many of whom are suicide bombers. Many of their victims are Muslims but christians and others are also being killed. Check the website religionofpeace dot com for the statistics.
  19. Sorry, I don't understand your comment. Conservatives don't have to say anything about this; just stand back and watch the fiasco.
  20. America under President Trump is becoming great again. Here I quote some of the achievements since President Trump was elected on November 8, 2016. Quote * The DOW daily closing stock market average rose more than 15% since the election on November 8th. (On November 9th the DOW closed at 18,332 – on March 1st the DOW closed at 21,115). * Since the Inauguration on January 20th the DOW rose 6.5%. (It was at 19,827 at January 20th and reached 21,115 on March 1st.) * The DOW took just 66 days to climb from 19,000 to above 21,000, the fastest 2,000 point run ever. The DOW closed above 19,000 for the first time on November 22nd and closed above 21,000 on March 1st. * The DOW closed above 20,000 on January 25th and the March 1st rally matched the fastest-ever 1,000 point increase in the DOW at 24 days. * The US Stock Market gained $2 trillion in wealth since Trump was elected! * The S&P 500 broke $20 Trillion for the first time in its history. * In the history of the DOW, going back to January 1901, the DOW record for most continuous closing high trading days was set in January of 1987 when Ronald Reagan was President. The DOW set closing highs an amazing 12 times in a row that month. On February 28th President Trump matched President Reagan when the DOW reached a new high for its 12th day in a row! President Trump decreased the US Debt in his first 100 days by $100 Billion. (President Obama increased the US debt in his first 100 days by more than $560 Billion.) The US Manufacturing Index soared to a 33 year high in this period which were the best numbers since 1983 under President Reagan. President Trump added 298,000 jobs in his first month alone (after President Obama said jobs were not coming back!). Housing sales are red-hot. In 2011, houses for sale were on the market an average 84 days. This year, it’s just 45 days. Illegal immigration is down 67% since President Trump’s Inauguration. NATO announced Allied spending is up $10 Billion because of President Trump. Unquote http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/04/draft-complete-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-in-his-first-100-days/ America is finally making a comeback. If you want to measure how well the U.S. is doing by how much progress the LGBTQ is making or whether there are transgender washrooms being approved, or how many illegals are getting jobs in the pineapple plantations, or whether pot legalization has increased, OK! maybe it's not doing that well. America still has a long way to go, but Trump has been in for barely over five or six months. He is just starting and the stock market has really improved, showing the economy is humming along.
  21. I don't think Trump has tried to do anything sinister with Russians. Perhaps because of his inexperience in politics and government, he does not follow the required protocols. I don't think democrats will succeed in claiming a conspiracy exists.
  22. I would agree Canada is in serious trouble as a result of liberalism, multi-culturalism gone wonky, and generally the left wing which wants to destroy our Judeo-christian heritage. Just saw the other day that a couple didn't have their baby's gender put on the birth certificate. Some people apparently want children to decide themselves what gender they wish to be. Bizarre.
  23. Actually I understand a Zionist is just a person who believes in the return of the Jews to the land of Israel and the re-establishment of the State of Israel, which happened in 1948. The claim that they have plans to take over the world was a phony story propagated by a writing in the 1800s called the Protocols of the Elders of Zion I think. That story has been debunked as anti-Semitism and is false.
