  1. That just means that once again, you can't describe anything to support your own nonsense. Why are you so broken up over a vicious war criminal like McCain? Did you bawl your eyes out when Maggie T bit the dust?
  2. You only have to look at the history of Canada/US to see that. Chinese, Italians, Irish, Japanese, ... . taxme said: China is pretty much invading Canada and buying up whatever resources and property it can. China 0.8% USA 42....%
  3. Mr Original, the guy who can't describe anything to support his own nonsense. And bcsapper like it. That tells it all.
  4. Good dog almighty, man, these are the same people. You didn't whine when dialamah posted those links.
  5. As if you care anything about Canadian First Nations peoples. Omar Khadr was abused by US torturers in a US torture chamber, one of many the US keeps around the world. The masters of torture, the USA, taught it to many terrorists in its US terrorist training camp. Central and South American felt the pain from the lying US pretending all these many long years to be a savior of the oppressed. These are the evil folks you revere, love and maybe even emulate. How else could a body have so much love for such evil?
  6. Did you check out the research that was right there in dialamah's post?
  7. What point are you trying to make? Civil law is as much law as is criminal law. You believe this but yet you want to trust the lyingest government ever, the USA?
  8. Logic is not your long suit, capricorn. Such is the life of a meme spouting conservative. Are there countries unknown to man? So the question remains, why do you support such deep evil? Why do you support such incredible liars? All they have said about Iraq and Afghanistan, Syria and Libya, Omar Khadr is a lie. If you knew the depth of their lies, the depravity of their evil, it likely wouldn't change a thing for you. Such is the life of the conservative bubble.
  9. Your country has been supporting this evil, the evil that you are too frightened to address - typical conservative dog and pony show. You could share that map if you had the slightest desire to become an informed individual. We both know that ain't in the cards for you.
  10. Instead of guessing, why not do some, horrors of horror, RESEARCH!
  11. That's that conservative viewpoint kicking in. Can't say anything constructive about the issue at hand so it's back to your protective bubble. You would eat this up if Russia/China/any other US boogeyman was doing this evil. Because it would then be within your bubble and the conservative memes would flow. On a scale of one to ten, how much do you love Henry for the great support he and Nixon, both conservatives you know, offered to various brutal, vicious, right wing dictatorships who were torturing hundreds of thousands?
  12. You don't seem to know anything, Rue, how might that differ for grammar?
  13. Of course they are. Have you ever seen the US held to account for any of its myriad crimes?
  14. If you are this willing to try to provide cover for such evil, just what lengths won't you go to, capricorn?
  15. Henry Kissinger gave orders to bomb anything that moved on the ground in Cambodia. You do realize that that is a war crime. I hardly expected anyone to flaunt their appreciation of evil quite like this, capricorn. On a scale of one to ten, how much do you love Henry for the great support he and Nixon, both conservatives you know, offered to various brutal, vicious, right wing dictatorships who were torturing hundreds of thousands?
  16. That's how you work, capricorn. Others work on a scientific, reality based metric. Remember, you are the one who decided that you were going to outright reject the evidence that makes the US conspiracy theory impossible, deciding instead that you wanted to stick with that fiction.
  17. Of course you aren't, capricorn. Omar is a Muslim and in your eyes, a foreigner, who you don't want in Canada. In this, you are not much different than your conservative "leaders". Let's do get some perspective on this. ========================== A Target of Scheer Vindictiveness The Tories have learned nothing and forgotten nothing about Omar Khadr. By Crawford Kilian Today | TheTyee.ca The limits of state power ... Democracies are very aware of the power of the state compared with that of the individual, and how easy it is for the state to deprive the individual of not just liberty but life itself. So the democratic state deliberately puts limits on its own power. One key limit: He who asserts must prove. If Khadr committed a crime, his captors had to prove it. Instead they behaved like a lynch mob in uniform. Canadian intelligence officers took part in the lynching, interrogating Khadr and sharing what they learned with his captors. Whether Khadr threw a grenade, or a ping-pong ball, or nothing, is something we will now never know, because his illegal trial completely tainted the evidence brought against him. If the Paul Martin government had any decency at all, it would have demanded that Khadr be returned to Canada forthwith, there to be interrogated but treated as the severely abused child he was. Instead it sacrificed Khadr for the sake of getting along with the Americans, and Stephen Harper carried on the tradition. He even broke a long political silence when Khadr’s $10.5-million settlement was announced. He tweeted: “The government today attempted to lay blame elsewhere for their decision to conclude a secret deal with Omar Khadr. The decision to enter into this deal is theirs, and theirs alone, and it is simply wrong. Canadians deserve better than this. Today my thoughts are with Tabitha Speer and the families of all Canadian and allied soldiers who paid the ultimate price fighting to protect us.” Given the limits of Twitter, Harper couldn’t have mentioned that he’d paid the same $10.5 million plus apology to Maher Arar for the injustice done him by the Martin and Harper governments. And while he is no lawyer, Harper had access to plenty of fine legal minds during his time in government; he must have understood perfectly well that Khadr held the legal high ground, and would eventually win his case. Vindictive but doomed But, like Christy Clark fighting B.C. teachers for 15 years, Harper and Andrew Scheer and Michelle Rempel seem to think they would please their base by spending taxpayers’ money in a cause both vindictive and doomed. https://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2017/07/24/Omar-Khadr-Target-Vindictiveness/
  18. Why don't you want to discuss a young man being tortured in a US gulag, in a country that they have no right being in? Why don't you want to discuss a young man being charged with a new law that was unconstitutional? Why don't you want to discuss a young man being tortured into confessing to a crime he likely never ever committed? I mean, come on, capricorn, even you know what gigantic liars the USA are. You seem to hold dear the same values as the US war criminals, the US torturers, the US illegal invaders, the US terrorists, the US baby killers, the US ... . Why?
  19. This arises out of a MLW member quoting a deeply evil man, Henry Kissinger, and then another MLW member also quoting such a despicable, amoral, evil human being. This goes some distance to explain just how distorted are these western values we supposedly hold dear. We all, with our actions, support an incredible evil and allow its existence. How does such an evil man get to be so powerful that people will actually think to buy his lies, to support with their money these kinds of Hitlerian values. It's hard to even put this kind of evil into words. Kissinger/Nixon/Johnson/... should evoke the same kind of disgust as Hitler, Goering, PolPot, ... does. In point of fact, PolPot was a US/Kissinger associate. No matter that they had slaughtered millions of their countryfolk, though it must be remembered that this slaughter came after the US had done the same to the Cambodians and actually set the stage for the PP/Khmer Rouge slaughter.
  20. Canada's last Trump caused all this and you want a new one?!!
  21. Trump stands for nothing. If you don't know by now what an idiot, what a liar, what a cruddy human he is, there's little hope for you.
  22. Why would you ask such a silly question. This was a civil action brought by competent lawyers, for which the Canadian government knew that it could save itself mucho dinero to own up to, and accept that Harper acted in a cowardly fashion in sucking up to the USA.
  23. I had to google to find out who this Scheer is. Oh great, Canada's new Trump. So the rule of law US of A, the world's leading war criminals, hold a child in a US gulag, in a country the US has been terrorizing, committing war crimes against and genocide against for over a hundred years and they claim to have some moral high ground?! Then they charge Omar with a law that is explicitly forbidden by the "rule of law" USA's own constitution. Is this Orwellian or what? You can't make this degree of evil up. Only the US can produce this.
  24. I guess I assumed that you might be at the least, a moderately informed citizen.
  25. Most war mongering Americans do. They think that murdering innocents around the world is what makes America "great".
