  1. I did and I admit I did not spend a lot of time researching. Perhaps because I never really enjoyed that pop gun thing when I was 6.
  2. You would think that to be an easy enough conclusion to arrive at.
  3. Oh, you're actually paying attention to some real news for a change! Good for you.
  4. Wilber just gave you a clue as to the difference between an immigrant and a migrant and you wander off into "facial features" Ho hum.
  5. That's rather obvious. And oh btw, that should be spelled "to"
  6. Actually no it's not. Not if you obtain that admission under a dubious court such as the military commission in Gitmo, but even more so when it is obtained by torture. And so I turn the question back round to you, how many Americans did Khadr kill, that you can prove?
  7. Arar is one and I don't have the other on the tip of my tongue. Arar killed the same number of Americans as Khadr if you follow the evidence.
  8. There are at least two similar cases that were settled for similar amounts. That's somewhat of a precedent. And in this case (Khadr) you keep trying to flog this dirty hands idea but it is not applicable. His suit is based on his illegal treatment by Canadian officials at Gitmo.
  9. Check your history book and get back to us.
  10. It has been pointed out that there is at least something of a precedent regarding settlements to these types of cases.Given the circumstances of this case, settling the case commensurate with that precedent was probably wise if for no other reason that it saves a pile of court costs/legal costs.
  11. I'd like to see that evidence. Putin hates Hillary.
  12. And once again, what if the case had of concluded and the check was doubled.
  13. We have a lot of something with Jr's emails. He is showing desperation to hide something that he only a few weeks ago said didn't happen. There is a lot of "red meat" in those emails
  14. A no-nonsense military judge lobbed a bombshell into the Bush administration's controversial terrorist tribunals, dismissing all charges against Canadian Omar Khadr Monday because prosecutors failed to label him an "unlawful" combatant. "Charges are dismissed without prejudice," Colonel Peter Brownback said brusquely, putting an abrupt end to Mr. Khadr's trial - at least for the moment.
  15. That charge did not apply and was dismissed in case you missed it.
  16. nope, collusion does not necessarily infer illegality. In this case so far it only shows very bad judgment along with dishonesty.
  17. He was apprehended during a firefight om a battlefield in case you missed it.
  18. I got a giggle out of one news reporters description of the latest from the White House with regard to Trump Jr`s email dump.... `` a circular firing squad`` Sounds about right. Ready, aim, expire!
  19. Those are quite the interesting little assumptions. Any proof or just demonstrating a little more of the old right wing xenophobia?
  20. You got things a bit mixed up: the paperwork is signed on the pipelines, we'll see what comes out of the nafta discussions, and the lumber will just end up being more costly for US purchasers.
  21. Trudeau has signed off on two pipelines if those are what turn you on, he has agreed to discuss nafta, softwood lumber is only going to cost Americans building houses more money because they need the wood, and he settled a long standing law suit that could have cost us more than double what it did. Now, can you pass me that doobie.
  22. I feel sad for the Trump family. They seem to be plagued by a collective amnesia were they can't seem to remember meetings they had with Russian officials.
  23. The vast majority agree he was a child and was wrongly interred and that's what really matters, not the dollar value of his compensation
  24. It will be water under the bridge come election time.
  25. I don't think he caved, I think he was well advised to cut the losses and settle.
