    It's polypropylene.  It's what the disposable masks and mask filters are made of.

    "Hey!  I have a great idea!  Let's force children to wear polypropylene masks all day for 2 years!  What could go wrong?"

      Yes, they sometimes are pretty resilient.  I guess I am of the mind that - should they have to be resilient to nonsense?  Or should we, as adults - protect them from certain things?  Is it enough to cavalierly declare "Children have experienced worse" so who cares if what's happening now is damaging them? I think it's poor parenting to use the excuse "kids are resilient" and just shrug and allow anything to be done to them.  I guess that's just me, though......

      And I think it's poor parenting to assume something like masking will permanently scar a child. 

      And I oppose masking for children. But somethings going with the flow is easier than making a scene.
