It appears the shooter is one of Donald Trump's very fine people. He has an Instagram account with his picture wearing a Make America Great Again hat, and showing off his arsenal and hinting at animal cruelty. The white nationalist group Republic of America says he participated in paramilitary drills, although they are now walking back that statement.

I am assuming most of the vocalization took place in the waiting period before order was called and people started to be weeded out. Yes, if reasons are actually given for the challenges then we would have better trust in the system.

CTV Backpedals On Patrick Brown Allegations
?Impact replied to AngusThermopyle's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
So what is your standard? I guess if you believe the CTV is out to tar and feather some one, then you have iron clad evidence of that and will share it with the rest of us; we wouldn't expect less from your standard. -
I venture to say far more guns are outside safes than in them. Going back to the ATF statistic of 9.79 years from legal acquisition to crime usually involves many steps, this is one scenario that they paint as typical from the hundreds of thousands they investigate annually Buy a gun for a roommate that failed the background check Roommate sells the gun to a friend because she is behind in the rent Friend sold the gun to someone they didn't know to buy drugs The gun is then used in a crime Of course the gun manufacturers and dealers are happy because they get to sell another gun. They funnel money to the NRA to buy political favors.

No, who watched 200 people and made detailed notes of which ones were vocalizing their biases. I guess it would an interesting way to do selection, put them all in a big room and give them free time and watch what happens. If that were taking place fine, but then the defense attorneys should say why people were excused.

Thank you, that is much clearer. They go through the background of how the university in failing in being representative of the diversity of the community, and the important quote is: In keeping with the principles of our Employment Equity Policy, and with an aim to increase the representation of underrepresented groups at Dalhousie, this search for a new Vice-Provost Student Affairs will be restricted to racially visible persons and Aboriginal peoples at this time. I just wish everyone could quote them properly so we have the right baseline.

I don't see anything in the linked article about what the job posting actually said. I believe it could have been this: All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority. Dalhousie. University is an Employment Equity/Affirmative Action employer. The University encourages applications from qualified Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, racially visible persons and women. Can anyone confirm what the actual job posting said, not what someone thought it said translated 70 times to restricted.

No, that was the right wing pundits that did that. Go back his statement, and it is not about the verdict of the jury. That however was ignored by the right wing self-righteous and they POLITICIZED the verdict of the jury.

You clearly ignored reality. Trudeau did NOT question the verdict of the jury. You don't sound like a very open minded lawyer, but then you tell me that the first thing a lawyer learns is that they are better than the rest. Yup, you must be lawyer according to the above description of laywers Unfortunately when a native Canadian is on trial, they are not represented by a jury of their peers either according to that criteria fair enough, you just want to fume - noted Thank you. Several things I did notice in there. First it was according to one person, yes some people would have known Boushie so that is a valid reason to be excused but it still leaves a lot, the whole drawing numbers seems irrelevant, and it is only this persons view that the native Canadians were excused because of their previously stated bias - how they could be distinguished with so many there is completely unbelievable given the scenario painted.

I wouldn't bet on that, besides I am told that the KJV is the best (based on the received text, lots of scholars, 57 sauce confirmation, etc. etc. etc.) untestable, not scientific

The judicial system should be about fairness. Transparency can help or hinder fairness.

Yes, no selling your story to make it rich in Canada. What happens in the jury room stays in the jury room, and not on the Hollywood screen. There are pros and cons of either way.

ATF have done extensive studies about where guns involved in crimes come from. Certainly states with lax gun laws (Georgia, Alabama, Texas, etc.) are a big source, and many come from in state. They have extensive data on the state to state traffic, and tracing of guns involved in crimes in other countries traced back to the states but I don't see much about foreign guns smuggled into the US. One interesting statistic is the time from the last legal owner to the crime is 9.79 years.

It is the logical conclusion of more police interference, what do you have to hide? If you are not doing anything wrong then you should be happy that they are keeping us safe.
