I agree with you on that one. I disagree on this one. Cutting funding from the CBC was not good enough. Harper should have abolished the CBC outright, but sadly, he did not. Harper left it wide open for the next liberal government to come along and who did once again gained power and they did give the CBC back our tax dollars and the liberals gave them even more. One has to be a real and true conservative who will do what needs to be done and not be frightened off by the leftist liberal media. If the liberals wanted to get rid of the CBC, they would do it tout suite. No problem for them at all. A conservative government always seems to lack any conservative marbles. Our only hope is to hopefully see Poilievre as the next PM of Canada. Otherwise, this country will be totally phkd. Democracy should mean that we the people should have less government, less taxes, and more freedom, something that Canada appears to not be doing these days, but on the contrary, are moving more towards and away from democracy and towards communism. Why is the government always trying to subsidy's some big corporations? If the big boys cannot make it on their own, then let them go broke or go smaller and allow the free enterprise ma and pa stores to do the job. No doubt due to the ancient archaic liquor laws in BC at the time. I traveled a lot in Washington state and i never saw beer bottles or cans on their roads. No doubt due to their lax laws on liquor laws. But since EXPO 86, some liquor laws had to be changed and modernized to welcome the rest of the world. At one time here in BC, a pub was only allowed to have one TV in their establishment. How ridiculous is that? I think that it will be a long time before we even get to be able to buy liquor in a grocery store, never mind at a gas station. I guess that this is what socialism is all about.
