  1. Looks like Gwen Ifill is the moderator for the Vice Presidential Debate. And suprise, suprise, she's totally in the tank for Obama. Has anyone else noticed that the mainstream media aren't even trying to pretend to be objective journalists anymore? It's like they've decided that Obama must be elected at all cost, so they're going to put their heads down, and drive to that goal, and clean up the image mess after the election. It's truely unbelievable. Amazon
  2. It's hard not to watch and think, what the f***? However, here's the link, enjoy!
  3. No, we're not talking about your reproductive organs. We're talking about a body within a body. A body with seperate organs, brain, and a heart beating. Actually, waiting lists for adoption agencies are quite long. So your "what are we going to do with them" argument is moot. As if that's the standard we're to apply to whether someone is allowed to live or not anyways.
  4. Banks are regulated. Even Fannie and Freddie are regulated. Unfortunately, if you watch the C-Span video, the Dems decided to attack the regulators and their report, instead of accepting the fact that both those entities needed a new regulatory system, because the old one wasn't working. It's plain as day in the video. Exhibit A: Gregory Meeks (D-NY): … I’m just pissed off at OFHEO [the regulators trying to warn Congress of insolvency at the GSEs], because if it wasn’t for you, I don’t think we’d be here in the first place. … There’s been nothing that indicated that’s wrong with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac has come up on its own … The question that then comes up is the competence that your agency has with reference to deciding and regulating these GSEs.
  5. Because she deserved it. She's an absolute disaster as SOTH. And just imagine, she's third in line to be President.
  6. It was Government that created the current economic crisis. We can't afford anymore of the unintended consequences of their "good intentions". Disband Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Oh, and the Dow looks up by 300 today.
  7. Oh, and President Clinton sums it up perfectly at the end of the video!
  8. If anyone still questions the Democratic culpability in the current financial crisis, look no further than Congressional debate from 2004, thanks to C-SPAN via YouTube. Maxine Waters (D-CA): Through nearly a dozen hearings, we were frankly trying to fix something that wasn’t broke. Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Franklin Raines. [Raines would barely avoid prosecution for fraud.] Gregory Meeks (D-NY): … I’m just pissed off at OFHEO [the regulators trying to warn Congress of insolvency at the GSEs], because if it wasn’t for you, I don’t think we’d be here in the first place. … There’s been nothing that indicated that’s wrong with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac has come up on its own … The question that then comes up is the competence that your agency has with reference to deciding and regulating these GSEs. Lacy Clay (D-MO): This hearing is about the political lynching of Franklin Raines. Barney Frank (D-MA): I don’t see anything in this report that raises safety and soundness problems. YouTube
  9. Don't be so hard on yourself, you just recognize good quality when you see/hear it. So does the rest of the world. And is there an official count as to how many times Obama agreed with McCain, or insisted that "John's right?"
  10. I agree, however, I think they need to be given a partial pass. They won't really be able to talk in specifics until a bailout deal is finalized. Right now there's probably a lot still being negotiated.
  11. I almost felt like the loser of the upcoming election, should be the other guy's VP. However, there was one moment that made me cringe a little. When Obama couldn't remember the soldier's name on the bracelet he was wearing. Not good.
  12. That premise applies to anyone, woman or man, and has nothing to do with abortion. We all start out as an embryo. And it's not just an embryo that's being destroyed. For instance, at week 10 of a pregnancy: The fetus is only about 1.2 inches / 3 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs less than a sixth of an ounce / 4 grams. Even so, it's busily swallowing and kicking. Each day more minute details start to appear, such as fingernails and peach-fuzzy hair. The vital organs -- the liver, kidneys, intestines, brain, and lungs -- are fully formed and functional Link We're talking about living, breathing, heart-beating, unborn human beings. You people are freaking monsters. Who's showing absolutely no regard for animal lives? Nice strawman. And please don't equate animal lives with human lives. Yes, I believe that animals should be treated well, but the two are not the same. And it's very troubling that you don't seem to know.
  13. Brit Hume hammers Democrats for Fannie/Freddie mess. And is a great summary of the important events from 2001 to the present economic and financial problems. YouTube My favourite part of the video, is watching Democrat Barney Frank, say the following" "The more people, in my judgement exaggerate the threat of safety and soundness, the more people conjure up the possibility of serious financial losses to the treasury, which I do not see. I think we see entities that are fundamentally sound financially, then the less, I think we see, in terms of affordable housing." How is this joke of a bureaucrat, able to show his face in public? And why is this joke of a bureaucrat, allowed anywhere near the proposed solutions to this problem?
  14. As I've already stated, there's no such thing as a woman's right to kill. You can sugarcoat it with so-called choice all you want. And the only backwoods ideology, comes from people who rely on science from the 50's and 60's, to back up a legal desicion created in the 70's. It's neanderthal thinking, similar to that of blacks being only two-thirds of a human being asserted in the pre-emancipation constitution of the United States. Instead of nigger, it's zygote or parasite.
  15. Palin Derangement Syndrome is spinning out of control. (CNN) – Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.” CNN
  16. Yep, flip flopped into the correct decision. Unlike Obama, who apparently thought it was "the first type of project we should cut", but then continues on voting for it. Why, some may ask? Because Obama had his own bridge to nowhere project, a $1.3-billion transportation project in Illinois. Thanks for the link, I had missed that! Politifact.com So in summary: Obama, voted for bridge to nowhere funding, as well as his 1.3 billion dollar transportation project in Illinois. Palin, killed the bridge to nowhere project after taking office. McCain supported neither.
  17. So you're saying, that once in office, she made the right decision. Link?
  18. Ok, this definitely needs to be filed under Palin Derangement Syndrome. I think Naomi Wolf needs some serious medical help. One can only hope she receives it. Please understand what you are looking at when you look at Sarah "Evita" Palin. You are looking at the designated muse of the coming American police state. Remember, Russia has Presidents; Russia holds elections. Dictators and gangs of thugs all over the world hold elections. It means nothing. When a cabal has seized power you can have elections and even presidents, but you have freedom. I saw that she was even styled by the same skillful stylist (neutral lipstick, matte makeup, dark colors) who turned Katharine Harris from a mall rat into a stateswoman and who styles all the women in the Bush orbit --but who does not bother to style Cindy McCain John McCain has a virulent and life-threatening form of skin cancer. It is the elephant in the room. I believe the Rove-Cheney cabal is using Sarah Palin as a stalking horse, an Evita figure, to put a popular, populist face on the coming police state and be the talk show hostess for the end of elections as we know them. If McCain-Palin get in, this will be the last true American election. Under the coming Palin-Rove police state, you will witness the plans now underway to bring Iraqi troops to patrol the streets of our nation. Huffington Post See everbody. This is what we mean by Palin Derangement Syndrome. And this is by far the worst case I've seen.
  19. Or this one. Asked whether he’s disappointed with the tone of the campaign, including the ad that Couric characterized as “making fun of John McCain’s inability to use a computer,” Biden said “I thought that was terrible by the way. “I didn’t know we did it and if I had anything to do with it, we would have never done it”
  20. Speaking about Biden's passing comments, how bout this one? “Barack Obama ain’t taking my shotguns, so don't buy that malarkey,” he said. “If he tries to fool with my Beretta, he's got a problem.” MSNBC
  21. So what your saying is, 1. That once in office, she killed the project. 2. Obama and Biden voted against rerouting the bridge money to Louisiana. 3. And that, when asked about it, probably fairly recently while running for President, Obama denounced the project. Wow, I'm shocked.
  22. Probably to protect their own earmarks. This year, Delaware has requested 116 congressional earmarks through Biden, its longtime senator, at a cost to taxpayers of $342 million. CNN Senator Barack Obama on Thursday released a list of $740 million in earmarked spending requests that he had made over the last three years The New York Times
