  1. To be fair, it was Doug that did that and according to what Rob just said, Doug wasn't in the loop.
  2. LOL people thought he was going to step down. The reporters waited 2 hours in a room for this? Apparently he lied to EVERYONE! over this, including Doug.
  3. Don't blame me, I voted for Kudos. Then you enabled him by vote splitting. You are equally to blame. :-D
  4. So apparently CNN is going with this pending News Conference. BE PROUD TORONTO!
  5. I'm more talking about physical evidence in what the mayor looks like. BTW from what I'm hearing on the radio regarding the Chief. Team Ford is more upset with the perceived "partisan" nature of the investigation rather than whether the video is real or not. They're thinking a case like this should have been punted over to the OPP.
  6. I think if he was a regular crack user there'd be ample evidence of it. Aren't crack heads easy to spot?
  7. It's typical Ford. He did it in his own way. No planned press conference, he just finally admitted.
  8. Dunno. I just don't see how this admission makes him any more likely to step down. He's probably feeling relieved that he doesn't have to lie about his "transgressions" anymore.
  9. Who's going to make him? He's not being charged with anything.
  10. I think he did it on his own. How else could you explain Team Ford going with the Full Court Press against Bill Blair this morning? This probably comes as a complete shock to Doug and the Lawyer.
  11. I don't believe that The CBC would stop talking Duffy long enough to pose that question. :-D
  12. Yeah so even when telling the truth he's lies. John Oakley asked him 3 times yesterday and he just deflected.
  13. Well that's the irony of today. The day started with Team Ford going into full Offense mode calling out Chief Blair then by lunch Ford finally admits to what we've been talking about since May. Seems sort of anti-climactic doesn't it.
  14. So does this stop now? He's admitted it. He's said he's not stepping down. What fuel do we have to keep this fire burning?
  15. Well Ford just admitted using Crack Cocaine so I guess all this is moot. He said he was hammered at the time. He's using the defense drunk drivers use.
  16. Really? Did you watch the Oilers and Leafs game last week. There were a comparable number of Leafs fan in the building as fans of the local team. That's something to be jealous about.
  17. Wait! there's a four page thread about Ford above and beyond the 100 plus page thread that we already have? Is this the light-hearted version?
  18. I don't understand how some act all embarrassed and indignant that Ford is now late night fodder. John Stewart's skit was particularly funny. Like people are going to make up their mind about a city about who their mayor is. I'd imagine most Americans think Toronto is no bigger than a city like Cleveland let alone the 4th largest proper city in the continent.
  19. That may not happen for years. Certainly won't happen before the 2014 election.
  20. Because they know they probably won't release the video so they can call the Chief's claim into doubt. Just like when Ford was accused of calling a 9-11 operator a Bitch and the Chief said he has heard the tape and Ford didn't do it. People wanted the tape to be released for the same reason.
  21. Ford said on Toronto radio this morning that he "Does Not" use drugs. Other revelations came out this past week that Ford was very drunk at a St. Patrick's Day party last year and was very abusive to other people. I suspect that's what he's apologizing for and he's public dealings with known criminals. He also could be apologizing for all the drama his actions have created without actually apologizing for using drugs. He wants to see the video because he wants to see what he's being accused of. Maybe there are several instances where he's been video taped doing something he shouldn't be and he's not sure which one the chief is talking about.
  22. It's possible, even after whatever criminal proceeding we're talking about here, the video never gets released. So we're to stuck with the word of the Chief that the video exist. Ford asking for the video to be released can create doubt for his base. I'm seeing it on the internet and hearing it on the radio. Ford Nation's wrath is being heaped on Chief Blair.
  23. The Nucks are still a good team. The 3rd road game in a week on the west coast. The Nucks are likely tired of hearing all the Leafs hype. The Leafs don't play again until Friday. They have played to most games early in the season than anyone in the East Conference. Hopefully they get some rest and come out strong again.
  24. Member Nilyewmyix has upped the decorum around this debate.
  25. And because it was on Saturday night. Had the game been on Wednesday broadcasting on Sportsnet Ontario/Pacific. The game would have started at 10. I don't know why you're so bent over this. It's a lot easier to watch a hockey game at 4pm then it would have been to watch a very important game for both teams at 10pm. I'm curious was the time changed this week. I suspect the starting time would have stayed local had the Leafs also not been tops in the Eastern Conference.
