  1. We comprehend that you think all NATO involvement in this conflict is wrong. Which means you effectively support Putin's claim to Ukraine. You think the West should look the other way because he hasn't threatened a NATO nation yet. Which is the same type of appeasement that led to Hitler's rise in the 1930's. You repeatedly cite the sham referendums as legit. Which is laughable if you were even the slightest bit impartial. Their goal was to take out the capital and install a puppet leader like they've done over and over again across Eurasia. Annexing these territories is a backup plan. It's clear Ukraine is happy with their leader as they're willing to fight an die for their freedom. That's admirable. Unlike Russians who are being forced to die in a conflict they don't support. Young Russians are fleeing the country to avoid conscriptions which means an unimaginable brain drain of young people who would actually contribute to their society. Russia is spiralling the drain of relevance.
  2. DoFo isn't going to let Schools close again because Janitors and Lunch Ladies want 11% compounded over four years.
  3. Please expand on that "linear thinking" hypothesis.
  4. As already pointed out to you. Those are the only nations that actually consider the referendum somehow legit. Yet you believe Putin's propaganda. I bet you think blockading Ukrainian grain is warranted. Says the dude who keeps saying the same tripe over and over again.
  5. Or any other leader of a Western Democracy? Because my view is largely the status quo. But continue to think the likes of China, Syria and North Korea really know what's up.
  6. I do actually think Russia blockading Ukraine Exports of Food is in the interest of NATO and the rest of the world. I would support NATO escorting these ships through the Black Sea. Turkey would have to play ball though, but they are also part of NATO so. . . There are countries that need Ukrainian grain and have no feasible alternative. If you think that it should be within Putin's power to starve portions of the world because he can't defeat another nation, you're the problem, not people that support Ukraine's independence.
  7. And those people would likely be strong Putin supporters I reckon.
  8. No I don't believe an election staged by an autocrat in a territory he illegally annexed is legit. I'm not a gullible useful idiot like you are.
  9. Yeah because they've militarily occupied this territory. And are losing the territory they falsely claimed very quickly. Because Ukrainians don't want them there!!!!
  10. I don't support Putin. . . I just gobble up all his propaganda like it came from Jesus himself. ?
  11. Do you honestly think that if the public voted to stay part of Ukraine, Russia would withdraw? You really believe that?
  12. Stop being silly first. As has been pointed out to you several times. No reputable nation thinks those referendums are an accurate representation of the will of the people that live there. Especially considering Russia doesn't even hold 100% of any of these regions. So how could they have obtained a truly representative sample size?
  13. After McWynnty, I never thought I'd see the day where Ontario could balance its books. And this after all the COVID BS and DoFo deciding to scrap License Plate Fees. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-surplus-public-accounting-1.6593362 I'm sure this will give Public Service Unions all the fuel they need to ask for pay raises that will send us right back to deficit spending. Inflation has artificially boosted revenue for many businesses, so why would governments not be the same? They're collecting Sales Taxes on all these inflated prices. But DoFo's government has also been good at giving some of that money back.
  14. This. If you listen to the Convoy Class inflation is 100% caused by the Carbon Tax.
  15. It's the astonishing stupidity of today's Conservatives. Carbon Taxes have a goal. The disincentivize people from polluting. But they aren't anywhere near punitive enough to stop people from driving. What's punitive is Oil Companies profit taking and cutting production as Economies try to recover from COVID. But Conservatives can't criticize the free market, so it's the Carbon taxes fault, making up a small fraction of the price of a litre of gasoline. I decided to get an EV when it was time to replace my Chevy Cruz because I knew I still needed to regularly commute 90 kms a day to work and saw that Carbon taxes aren't going anywhere nor is profit taking from Oil Companies. So I made the decision to pay more for a car so I didn't have to be such a hostage to oil companies.
  16. Dunno, they had been run by the USSR for several decades. Your contention that Zelensky is a bad man is not shared by much of the Western World. But you're a pro Putin Cronie so. . .
  17. Again. . . NATO is not engaged in conflict in Ukraine. They are simply providing military aide. Which happens all the time all over the world. If you weren't such a Putin supporter you'd have no issue with it. Those that forget history are doomed to repeat it.
  18. Even if they didn't and the vote was 100% legitimate, they illegally annexed the territory. If you're a Ukrainian civilian, would you stick around when scary Russians are invading your country. The analogy would be a new Landlord evicting peopl e and bringing his friends than circulating a survey asking if you approve of management. You were suggesting that South Korea should handle North Korea on its own without support from the US. If the war never technically ended why should that be the reality? You're to dense to recognize that helping Ukraine defend themselves benefits the rest of NATO from Russian aggression. But you think Russia should be able to illegally annex any nation they want. Appeasing brutal dictators rarely works. Mr. Chamberlain.
  19. It's hard to believe you're not a Putin Jock-Sniffer when you actually think elections held in a war zone by gun point are legitimate. I'm shocked you're not aware that the Korean War was never formally ended. ? https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/article/why-korean-war-never-technically-ended It's tiring that you still think neighbouring nations should do nothing in the face of Russian aggression. No troops are fighting in Ukraine and Military Aid for an outcome that's in your interest is nothing new. See what Iran and Syria are doing for Russia, Are you cool with that?
  20. If it's in the interest of NATO to see them retain their independence, SURE. See how the 101st is training in Romania. Also a former Soviet nation. Think Putin will stop at Ukraine? Also, it's laughable you think the Referendum is legit. Even if it was a legit honest vote. The people who lived their pre-invasion have fled for their lives. The Korean War never ended. And the US certainly has a stake in keeping South Korea safe from North Korea. Global? This is a European conflict. I would suggest most of Europe doesn't want another Soviet Union.
  21. Why are you asking us? Should Russia be allowed to keep illegally annexed territory because they have Nukes. Tough precedent to set. Should North Korea be able to annex South Korea because no one wants Nuclear conflict?
  22. Even though you don't ever plan on using 800 kms every day? You like the range because it keeps you from having to go to the Gas Station frequently. Something an EV owner doesn't have to worry about because they would be able to charge at home. The problem with throttling EV usage at home is that it's the same electricity you use for anything else. How about throttling AC usage? Or doing laundry during peak periods? To monitor person EV charging you'd have to install a separate meter, maybe when everyone is on an EV in 20 years, that's something we'd do, but that's a different world we'd be living in.
  23. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ukraine-news-russia-us-army-101st-airborne-nato-war-games-romania/ This is the unit made famous in the HBO Series Band of Brothers. Russia is effed.
  24. You certainly need to plan a road trip, no question. But the requirement of 1,000 km range is peculiar. Other than a road trip, why would you need a range like that? If it's because you drive all day, yeah maybe EV tech isn't where you need it to be yet. I'm under no illusions that EV Tech is for everyone yet. But if you own a home with a driveway and drive less than 200 kms in a day, and EV is most certainly for you.
