Here's ThreeHundredEight's final projection. http://www.threehundredeight.blogspot.com/2011/05/final-projection-conservative-minority.html Eric was off a good bit, but so were the polls. It's not easy to predict results when the polls are off.

The Conservatives are looking at changing and reducing MPs pensions, which was what Cleary was responding to.
-
Cleary only says so after he was attack by the public and by Conservatives.
-
Supposedly women don't like voting for women.
-
Topp always looks like a jittery arrogant fool.

Well first he said ending the seal hunt should be considered, after it caused an uproar he backtracked and now seems to constantly be wearing seal skin. He said last week that after 6 years as an MP a $28,000 pension isn't enough for him because he works so hard. Now he says he misspoke because he was caught off guard at a charity even playing Wii bowling, he also brought up that he was wearing seal skin at the time. He now says MPs don't deserve pensions after 6 years. As a journalist he use to refer to Jack Layton as "Jackie Layton", and refered to NDP supporters as "Gucci socialist", "aging granolas", and "artsy fartsy types". The NDP were also a "lame political duck" and Jackie couldn't form government with a 100 seat head start. He was also a Newfoundland separatists and was highly critical of Quebec, but I won't get into all that.

He's not as bad as Dipper Ryan Cleary.

I think she's worse that Dion, who has been the most successful Liberal leader since Chretien. Layton only picked her to try and please Quebec and because she was a female.
-
She was perfect, for the Conservatives and Liberals

Someone mentioned after Bob Rae's appearance on Tout le monde en parle, which he supposedly shined in, that the next NDP leader should be able to go on the show. They questioned whether any of the candidates were up for the task of going on the show and performing strongly, which seems to be able to make and break a politican or party. Jack Layton and the NDPs support skyrocketed after his appearance on the show and since Rae appeared on the show the Liberals have also seen a noticeable bump.

So if people don't think Peggy Nash is the strongest candidate then they are wrong? As well this campaign has been going on for six months now so I don't think that's to quickly.
-
I haven't found Dewar to be as strong as I had thought he was before the campaign. I don't find Mulcair that great, I don't think he's anything special.
-
This was before he entered the race and he made similar comments afterwards. http://www.globalnews.ca/Pages/Story.aspx?id=6442493519 I'll look to see if I can't find he other comments.
-
They haven't publicly commented on it but there have been articles, and what not, mentioning that "insiders" say they are most worried about Dewar. Mainly due to his clean record, it's not hard to attack Nash, Mulcair or Topp but Dewar becomes a problem. John Baird has publicly praised him.
-
His own poll had him in second place, and first on the second ballot. (take that for what it's worth) There have been other polls howling him in third behind Nash and Mulcair. There's also these article about his campaign. http://www.hilltimes.com/news/politics/2011/10/18/ndp-leadership-hopeful-dewars-social-media-campaign-compared-to-obamas-2008-bid/28516 http://www.hilltimes.com/news/politics/2012/01/03/dewar-building-formidable-campaign-machine-across-country/29136

That Dewar doesn't have a lot of grassroots support.
-
I'm not sure about that.
-
Dewar's the one who Conservatives have said they're most concerned about.
-
NDP support completely collapsed once Rae was defeated. The PCs, while not being ble to form government, have still had strong support.
