  1. It was a shame that the deficit target was pushed back to 2013. What with the fact that Canada has 'the best economy in the world'. Add another one on Peter McKay and Julian Fantino for lying about F-35 costs and the usefulness of the plane in the arctic. And as I mentioned above, Jim Flaherty for misrepresenting our deficit target.
  2. If you think she's bad, wait until you see the Mayor's former media advisor penning Op-Eds and spreading propaganda on Talk radio.
  3. They live in metro cities, so they're rich, they vote and they reflect the environmental slant of a party message.
  4. Moar laughs.. Mayor Ford's press secretary quits for media gigs The lone woman standing between Mayor Rob Ford and the media is quitting her job to become a member of the press herself. Adrienne Batra announced Tuesday that she's resigning as the mayor's press secretary to become the Comment Editor at the Toronto Sun(roflcopters). She also shared plans to become a "frequent contributor" on talk radio channel Newstalk1010 as a Municipal Affairs Correspondent (what an appropriate title). "I want to thank Mayor Ford and all of my colleagues for such a unique experience at City Hall," said Batra in an emailed statement. "It has been a real privilege to work in the Office of the Mayor." Batra has held her position since Ford's election win in 2010. She's handled the notoriously media-resistant Ford during a maelstrom of public attention during tense budget talks, marathon meetings and frustrating labour disputes. "Adrienne has been a vital part of our Administration and I want to thank her for her dedication," Mayor Ford said in a statement. http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20111129/mayor-ford-press-secretary-resignation-111129/20111129/?hub=TorontoNewHome&cid=top
  5. And even if KPMG did find "gravy", I highly doubt it would be worth anything more than the cost of privatizing the Metro zoo.
  6. They give the existing union a huge raise of course. Because right-wingers love unions.
  7. Mulcair should be the one to take the reigns - he has the most wit and can further intellectual discourse. He's basically the polar opposite of lukin.
  8. So basically, all the retarded, right-wing, logical gaffes can stay in this thread. Sweet.
  9. It's being amended into CPC contracts as we speak. Hopefully one will land on the desk of Rob F***ing Ford.
  10. Typical left-wing drones trying to hinder free speech.
  11. Quick q: is this a whipped vote?
  12. So your solution to fledgling manufacturing is to get a job in resource extraction. Dutch disease. It started at the tail end of 90s when people began moving to Alberta. Good on Obama for realizing the original plan wasn't completely kosher. Now TC have to go through proper environmental assessments much to their own chagrin. If they had properly planned a safe route, they wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.
  13. On the contrary, it's made life harder for him because he can't hide behind the supposed indecision of a minority government.
  14. That's what Albertans want to believe. The reality is dutch disease.
  15. This is a natural repercussion of Canada's economy becoming dependent on resource extraction (petrol) and sacrificing the manufacturing sector in the process.
  16. It's okay, neither would the rest of the "accountable" conservatives.
  17. Once again, Conservatives fail so hard that they can't even be conservatives anymore.
  18. Got income statement?
  19. It's only outrageous if you have absolutely no idea what a whip vote is or you only care about this sort of policy when it applies to the NDP. Either way, your spin = fail.
