  1. I never said he was a god, or that he never made a single mistake, but if you hold Trump and Trudeau accountable to the same standard Trump has done far better to this point. That's it. He did things early on that our own leadership thought was wrong, now it's the global standard. Meanwhile, our own idiotic media is more critical of Trump than the are of blankie boy. Time will tell if Trump's pumping the breaks on the shutdown too early but I don't think he is. He can still dial back the recovery of current options fall flat. Trudeau still has people in a bunker mentality with no sign of hope.
  2. 1) Funny thing is that, during the period covered by all of these quotes, people from coronavirus hotspots were flying into Canada and walking around free (and we weren't practicing social distancing yet) while they weren't even allowed into the US. So Trump was actually doing something positive while people were stockpiling these quotes and our idiot PM still did bupkis for another 6 days. Sorry to burst your bubble. 2) You can find a video in the OP showing our PM saying that eliminating international flights from coronavirus hotspots was unnecessary as late as March 16th. That's still 3 days after all of these quotes by Trump, and it's far more idiotic and dangerous than all of Trump's quotes put together.
  3. That article is a mix of stupidity and trash. Trump isn't an autocrat, and he is taking on a positive leadership role, instead of selling fear-mongering to seize control.
  4. I don't think that the virus is taking Trump down, but it has given some senior Dem politicians a chance to act like adults, and be leaders, instead of just being competitors in a Trump Derangement Syndrome contest. Up until a week or so ago I didn't have anything positive to say about more than a handful of Dems. None of them were actual presidential candidates. I haven't followed Cuomo or Newsom much, but recently they've showed signs of actual leadership instead of just virtue-signalling, bitching and stupidity. Based on where they're governing, they both have a solid shot at winning the Dem primary in 4 years. They'd both chew up Biden and spit him out.
  5. That's because Trump's a leader and Trudeau is just a worthless virtue signaller, pumped up by the MSM.

  7. Trump's reaction to the pandemic was better than Trudeau's by orders of magnitude. There are actual, decisive measures that Trump took to control the virus which Trudeau never took. Trudeau was allowing people to fly directly to Canada from China while we weren't practicing social distancing, as recently as 7 days ago. Travellers who had been to China within 14 days haven't been to get into the US for two months now. The US also has actual medical personnel in the highest branches of government. We have a graphics designer. Name something useful that Trudeau has done that Trump didn't do Marcus: _____________________________.
  8. https://globalnews.ca/news/6730541/coronavirus-canada-mandatory-isolation-border-crossers/ Our uber-qualified Graphics-Designer-turned-Health-Minister just made it mandatory for Canadians to self-quarantine upon re-entry to Canada yesterday. Just 6 days earlier non-Canadians could come directly from the coronavirus epicenter and make that decision for themselves. This is happening after the virus is already here, so people who are coming from Wyoming or Montana are no more likely to have Covid than people from Burnaby or Mississauga lol. The maximum penalty for non-compliance is a $1M fine. I bet the MSM here is going to wonder aloud why passengers from coronaland were waltzing around free a month ago when we didn't have the virus here yet and we didn't have social distancing in place, but now that we apparently have more covid than China they can't even come here anymore (maybe they don't want to get the virus again....) and anyone that does come to Canada gets treated like a leper. DUUUUuuuuuhhhhh.
  9. Twitter is gonna get twittier.
  10. Three months ago was Dec 26th. On Dec 26th China hadn't even reported this yet. It was just 1 week ago that Trudeau closed down travel from China to Canada. Did he close it down after China had the virus under control? None of what you said makes sense.
  11. Credible researchers have studied it. More are doing it now. We’ll see. At least there’s hope now.
  12. Yeah, but I don’t think that Trump’s line in the sand is a successful vaccine. I don’t even think that’s a possibility no matter how long countries remain shut down. Trump is looking for a drug that will make this disease manageable, that’s it.
  13. The only reason why anybody even thinks that this disease came from a bat is because the Chinese government thinks so. Like I said before, I don’t think that’s a very good reason at all to believe that theory. Maybe this was just to cull their population. Worst case scenario, this was round 1 of a pandemic and “a mutated strain” mysteriously shows up in the US. It could be punishment for Trump’s trade war. A bat? That’s a possibility but I wouldn’t bet on it.
  14. Two weeks is manageable. I think Easter is a bit more than 2 weeks though
  15. Nope. Anti-Malaria drugs might break the cycle down to where it's manageable. There was good reason for the shutdown, it's just that there's hope it can end soon.
  16. Again, you're lying and I don't appreciate it.
  17. When you provide proof that someone is saying something that is untrue and they admit to their mistake and stop, they don't fall into the Trump Derangement Syndrome category anymore. People who won't accept proof that they are lying have TDS. Lying is an extremely big deal imo.
  18. Don't try convict me with your false accusation Yz. You've yet to show a single shred of evidence. The burden of proof is on you and your only offering is "I'll point it out the next time I see it". Get a life.
  19. Let's just be clear, you're only talking about showing examples of things that I say which you personally don't consider important (rightly or wrongly), and you're comparing me to people who are lying or propagating lies from a position of gross ignorance, who refuse to stop. Do you think there's a direct comparison between those two things Yz? Are they even remotely similar? If your spouse lies to you about an extremely important fact, is that a big deal? If they tell you something that they think is important, but you think it isn't, is that equally bad? You're conflating two topics which are not the same, at all.
  20. I just explained to you the seriousness of some "distinctions" which don't appear to make a large "difference", and you obviously don't get it, so your phrase of the day is just a platitude now. Your broad generalization combined with a serious accusation like "the critique made against them is flat out retarded" is completely worthless Yz. Cite some specific examples or grow up. This is an adult site and you're bringing sandbox arguments now.
  21. Key differences: 1) this flu is contagious while it's carriers are asymptomatic so it's contagious for a longer period of time, including a time when people are still out and about because they don't know they're sick, so it will definitely infect more people if it's not contained aggressively 2) a lot of younger, healthier people are getting extremely sick, and needing intensive care, 3) the period of care for these people is twice as long as for the normal flu. The healthcare system will be overloaded if we don't act decisively, and then we'd be like Italy. The hospitals will have to leave people over xx years of age to die so that they can focus on people with a better chance at surviving. Doctors don't want to have to make that choice, and you don't want to be the person who's desperate to get help for a loved one who has a lot of good years left in them but can't, because Canadians couldn't bite the bullet for a few weeks.
  22. You just need a sign that says "I'm a proud supporter of the NRA and a gun owner, but my neighbour isn't -->". If your neighbour is anti-NRA it's a great sign. If your neighbour is like Dougie93, even better. I'm sure he'll appreciate the intruders.
  23. OMG I tried so hard to find the video of Monty Burns training his dogs for this but I couldn't. He had cardboard cutouts of some girls guides and the guard dogs didn't shred them fast enough. Monty was in a huff and he said "If those were real girl guides I would have been bothered by now!" Best Simpsons line ever.
  24. Like I said earlier, you just don't see the seriousness of a lot of these issues. Even the simple act of referring to members of islamic state as "fighters" is a really big deal. That's not a "distinction without a difference", talk about a dog whistle lol. That's a clear message that he does not take a dim view of islamic terrorism or the genocide that they committed. That's backed up by several other actions by our PM so it's not all that surprising, but it's alarming that our MSM didn't notice it. If Trump referred to a group of white supremacists who just came back from committing genocide somewhere as "fighters" the Canadian MSM would go supernova. Our PM basically danced on the graves of genocide victims and our MSM giggled, fawned on him and boasted of his magnificence. I'm literally in awe of the stupidity and the uselessness of our own media.
  25. Could be. I just know a little bit about 3 of their articles now that I've seen that blurb. Not jumping to any conclusions.
