Trump spoke out against Amazon, but it's obviously not within the scope of the president's power to unilaterally destroy a company. TBH I don't even know if all the things that Trump said about Amazon are true, but he identified some things which required immediate action if they were. For example, he said that people who were buying from Amazon weren't paying state sales taxes which the local businesses have to collect, giving Amazon a huge leg up on them. When there are legal hurdles in front of businesses the wealthiest ones with the best legal teams can be virtually unhindered by them, or they can take their chances and pay their fines on the back end.
