  1. You are, I suppose, referring to my moderate Muslim family, who condemn extremism and terrorism, who allow their wives to go uncovered, and spoil them rotten, who refuse to associate with misogynistic males and who believe people are allowed to follow whatever religion they want. Oh wait. They aren't truly Muslim in your estimation - not nearly violent or extreme enough. Again we must rely on your Islamic extremist 'expertise' to keep us abreast of past, current and future terror events. That is your only role here; stop trying to abdicate your responsibility to Western society.
  2. You seem to have the pulse on all things Islamic, with your Quranic 'expertise' and collection of news stories. Seems you'd know better than anyone.
  3. Or, as they say in the movies "based on actual events", leaving lots of room for 'artistic licence' as to accuracy of said events.
  4. The first 'source' in her linked article is from Breitbart. Saw no link to an Italian paper. Looked at TheLocal Italy (before she edited her post) and saw no story related to the Jihadiwatch claims.
  5. And people like you were stoking fears of Somalians and crime, immigrants being the cause of economic hardship, Muslims being too 'different' to be Canadian as recently as yesterday. People like you are the reason for people like me.
  6. Sandra Solomon, rabid Islamaphobe, creates doctored video to spread fake news about Canadian Muslims and Trudeau. Link
  7. Exactly what I was wondering. Pretty stupid on the part of the slaughterhouse employees to kill it instead of capturing it and returning it to the slaughterhouse.
  8. Increase in crime mostly due to online fraud, and "some" sexual assaults. Perhaps more people are reporting the "groping" type of sexual assault due to the pussy-grabber next door. Homicide is down, good news. Hate crimes down, more good news. No doubt due to widespread condemnation of racist and Islamophobic attitudes and videos shaming those who hurl abuse at people based on skin-color or mode of dress. I hope declines continue and politicians have to stop stoking "fear of others" as part of their campaigns.
  9. Fake news. Also, there is no "Open Borders Immigration Strategy". Thinking of starting a topic called "This week in the gullible Right Wing".
  10. You could just say "white". That way, no confusion about exactly what you mean.
  11. Muslim Cleric saves lives of 260 Christian's, stands against other Muslims. Link.
  12. People on this forum regularly attack the integrity and character of Canada and belch out bigoted and hateful talking points. Perhaps they need to return to their "places of origin" - even if its Europe or the UK?
  13. I read it. Sounds like a rationalization of a racist comment direct from RW media. We (Americans and Canadians) all came from "away", but only some people (not brown people born in the country, according to Trump and his supporters) are allowed to complain about the country? Give me a break. I've read a few negative articles on CBC via FB over the last few months. Dunno about CTV, but Global has run new stories critical of him as well. I notice these because of how often I read on this forum claiming these media outlets won't say anything critical.
  14. Trump said, to 3 women who were born in the States to "go back to their countries". The people who are defending that are the ones who understand that non-white people are from "away" and can therefore be "sent back". It doesn't take anything but logic and common sense to figure that out.
  15. Just cause you can't be bothered to investigate beyond you own bias, don't assume everyone else is the same. I read the partial tweet here, then went looking for the full tweet. What Trump tweeted was insulting and racist; a basic sense of decency should tell you that. You don't like racists being called out, too bad.
  16. I don't watch CNN. Or CBC News. Or MSNBC News. I see "news" on here and on FB, which I then "investigate" by finding credible media stories, and/or checking politifact or snopes. By credible media, I mean those that avoid "clickbait" headlines and who's rating on mediabiasfact check is either "least biased" or "slightly" left or right. I spend more time proving or disproving, to my satisfaction, what is claimed than I do posting.
  17. Of course, you could try putting Liberal claims to the test by checking them on Snopes or Politifact or other similar sites. I offer facts to progressive-types who post BS on Facebook regularly. Not so much here because the progressive types here are pretty fact-based. You might be surprised how often Snopes and others debunk Liberal claims too.
  18. Nope, it confirms RW spreads false news, which is not the same as "Liberal bias".
  19. Yeah, but some folk understand that non-white people born in a white country don't actually belong, so sending them back to "their" country makes perfect sense.
  20. I guess Snopes has been too often proving right-wing news stories false. If I was a researcher for Snopes, I would look for something else to corroborate the claim. Perhaps no birth records could be found. Maybe he is descended from the bastard child of a slave owner; after all Jamaicans are not white and even if free, unlikely to have been married to a White plantation owner. My grandmother once told me that our family is related to Lord Stanley, of Stanley Cup and Stanley Park fame. Is it true? Probably; she'd have no reason to lie. But I can't find the actual connection despite hours spent on ancestry and looking through old documents from my grandmother's house. "Unproven" is what I would call this statement by my grandmother, even though I'm happy to claim it as my heritage.
  21. Never heard of him before today.
  22. Kinda nice to be able to delete troll remarks from status updates.

  23. Merely taking someone's suggestion to post "positive" Muslim-related stories to offset the negative. Otherwise, not much - kinda like most stories about Muslim behavior in Western countries.
  24. Recently, the government defined anti-Semitism as "a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews Rhetorical and physical manifestations of anti-Semitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.” Some are criticizing this definition as being overly broad and would disallow criticism of Isreal and is a chill to free speech, similar to criticisms made about M103. Do you agree that this definition is similar to M103 in terms of potentially eliminating valid criticism and reducing free speech? Are Jews, as a group, being singled out for special treatment by a government that is too eager to pander to minorities and immigrants? Was adopting this necessary, given that we already have laws addressing hate speech and hate crimes? Link.
  25. I didn't know this existed in my city. The Muslim food bank offers various services to low-income families, with a focus on refugees. They provide help with education, job skills and employment, and of course a food bank. Seems pretty Islamic.
