Like in the US right? Even there not all citizens are armed and we see the level of gun violence compare to Europe and Canada. They shoot at each other even in traffic disputes or bar fights. You also encourage vigilante killings. Those terrorists who believe in death as the way to heaven will not be deterred by a fight back. It will be hard to prevent terrorism in a democracy where people presumed innocent until proven guilty. Like dictatorship if you suspect someone may be a suspect/terrorist then put him in jail until he rots instead of surveillance like in dictatorships and they have done a much better job of preventing terrorism. I don't recommend this though as democracy is too dear to lose not to mention all those innocent people rotting in jail because they may look like a terrorist or may come from a certain region.

He was talking about 1953 not 1946. There are two separate issues 7 years apart. In 1946 the Soviets stayed in Azeri province and refused to take their army out. So a complaint was logged with UN and Soviets had to withdraw and then the Shah sent his army to defeat the rebels in that province (very unpopular with the population I might add) and re-captured the Iranian territory. I am sure Mossadegh was backing all that efforts to keep Iran's territorial integrity. But in 1953 the crisis was that a democratically elected government who nationalized Iran's oil industry and stopped it from being robbed by the damn colonial power (the damn British PM Winston Churchill, hope his soul burn in hell forever) was overthrown by a military coup (similar to 1973 coup against popular government of Allende in Chile) which was sponsored by CIA and supported by British. First off the allegation is ridiculous. It is Bashir Assad not Iran. Iran revolutionary guards (not Iran but a branch of armed forced) joined the conflict recently and fighting against ISIS and Assad's opposition. It was Russia, the only foreign power who bombed civilians and killed hundreds. Second whether you like it or not Iran is a Middle East superpower. There will be no peace in Syria, Yemen, Iraq or Afghanistan without Iran who enjoys a great influence in all those conflicts.

Turkey has been very violent since post-Islam. They believed killing Christians is good deed and hence the Massacre of Armenians and Greeks, they even killed fellow Muslims when they invaded neighbors. Not much better than Nazi Germany though history has not been written about them because victims have not been as powerful.

Extremism of any kind is evil. Extreme right are those losers who blame others (mostly immigrants and colored people) for their own stupidity and failures in life and extreme left is the other type of losers who blame their own stupidity and failures in life on rich people.

By strength I didn't mean military strength. Even so with about 12 million population then we are much stronger today. That said what I meant by strength was a diverse peaceful society and economically stronger country. Our economy is 10 times bigger and our population almost 3 times and we are a better recognized country internationally. As I said before I for one will be bored with white only faces but I prefer to see cute diverse faces from all over the world like when I walk in downtown Montreal, the Chinese, Filipinos, Middle Eastern (with or without hijab), African, Hispanic, Eastern European as well as white Caucasians and I want a variety of Chinese food, Lebanese, Mexican, Italian, to eating Hamburger and Fries every day. Diversity makes us a better country not worse provided we are selective in our policies and keep out the criminals (which includes illegal immigrants) and those with inferior cultures with no respect for women and other cultures and religions.

Diversity is our strength not our weakness. However, it doesn't mean we have to take anyone who knocks on our door.

The emphasis should be on not allowing illiterate unskilled people NOT on third world countries as they are many skilled educated people in the third world countries as we speak but they are third world for various reasons (being exploited by first world countries, a corrupt system, cultural inferiority, ....etc.).

I think you are asking a question that you know the answer already. I have proven to prefer to live here in Canada because as I have mentioned many times I am an immigrant (citizen for decades) so why you ask the obvious. That said the reason for my immigration was not because Canada is a white majority but because my qualifications was a better fit to the Hi Tech industry here when I graduated with highest degree I decided to apply for permanent stay. Also of course because Canada is one of the best countries in the world and it is not only the 70-80% Caucasian who made it best but all the white and non-whites working together to make it the best country to live in. And yes there are many skilled, highly educated good hearted people in third world countries too (and some are third world countries because they were exploited by first world like the US, Russia and Britain and France) who can come here and contribute and yes they may have colored skin. We should be admitting those people who make Canada better not worse. We do not make Canada a third world country simply because we admit people from third world countries we must SELECT their best citizens regardless of skin color and bring them over. We are not selective enough though. I love to see variiety. White only face becomes boring after a while I like to see a cute Chinese or dark Filipinos or cute Hispanic, or cute middle eastern (with or without hijab) or sexy African faces as well and try the Italian, Chinese or Mexican or Greek or Lebanese food to everyday Cheese Burger and fries for God"s sake. You get my point? Diversity is PLUS not a minus. I do agree that we must be selective in our immigration policy and I have said it before many times that I don't agree with current immigration policies in which too many are admitted (at the rate of 300,000 a year this country will be swallowed by people of various incompatible cultures in a few decades) and some are culturally incompatible and lacking skills and education. I guess what is different between you and me (though we both may be aiming for the same goal believe it or not, in spite of our wide differences of opinion) is that I say that our immigration policy should be based on admitting those who skillful and are culturally compatible and you are saying that immigration has to be based on color of skin and that skin has to be white. I say a progressive Muslim (or a non-religious Muslim who believes in everything Canadians do) or a skilled educated respectful African who wishes to start a life and contribute to Canada must be given equal consideration and a chance regardless of his original religion or skin color but you prefer the unemployed or no-good without skill Caucasians simply because they have white skin to come here instead. And for the record my skin is the whitest among all the whites I have come across in my life so don't accuse me of looking after my own (non-whites).

Yes perfectly clear. You want immigrants as long as they are white immigrants. And then you claimed you are not racist!!!!!!. The ratio is right though as only 20% of world population is white and about 80% non-white.

So if highly educated and skilled colored people and/or highly educated skilled Muslims with total cultural compatibility in both cases wanting to immigrate to Canada and become doctors and engineers and help build Canada and help Canadians and become heavy tax payers for life (or the 30 years they will work) you d not have any objection to their immigration, right? If you do make it clear why?

Why is that? Spell it out. Is that because there are about a quarter colored people in Canada? Or you think that because you feel 5% Muslim population? 80% while Caucasian is not white enough for you? Or is there another reason you are so insulting to Canada which is likely your country of citizenship.

Smart immigration is fine. This country was built on immigration and by immigrants and need immigrants. I am an immigrant myself. I am willing to share but share with those who are willing to share as well not some incompatible individuals from third world with no education and no skills. Also the number must be set so that they can be absorbed within a country of only 35 million (about 100 to 150 thousand) without jamming our health and education systems and putting citizens born or raise here at risk.

I don't think it is a matter of left and right really. It is a matter of an opinion as what is good for the country and people who live in it and our future generations. Accepting a large number of people mostly from incompatible cultures (Asia and Africa) is not going to do any good to either of above factors. Especially uncontrolled refugees and illegal immigrants mostly without skills and contributions who may remain on social programs for years and decades or get into crimes and make our cities and streets unsafe. We generally need about 100,000 to max 150,000 selected compatible skilled immigrants per year to benefit the country the most. We are not doing this. I consider myself center. Neither right nor left and though generally I support skilled immigration but oppose the uncontrolled arrival of refugees and illegal immigrants who are mostly from third world countries and significant number have health problems (like Somalis) jamming up our already jammed health care so that those seniors born in Canada and long time tax payers cannot receive the care they need. I don't have to belong to either left r right to see these facts. I just need to have a pair of eyes and a few active cells above them. And for those who may accuse me of being on the right, or anti-immigrant, I am an immigrant myself and frequently been accused of being a left extremist!!!! because of my posts supporting the weak and underdogs.

They are changing the shape of this country. This country will be flooded with culturally incompatible people. The worse if figures true, some 70% male refugees have no education likely without language skills or no skills at all on the receiving side of aid for years likely forever or forming gangsters, rapes, drugs..... Look what is happening to Europe, Germany in particular. We didn't vote for any of this. There is a feeling among politicians that this country belongs to them. Well not so. This country belong to the people. We need to take steps for new laws. Deportation to original country upon arrival for illegal immigrants. I am not against immigration I am an immigrant myself. Saudi Arabia is a complete dictatorship and with a corrupt backward Wahhabi regime (the worse kind) which was behind 911 attack and many other terrorist attacks on the west. Now they are using the Canadian made armored vehicles sold to them to kill their own people (the shia population who oppose this regime). Any money made from selling anything to this stinky regime is blood money and I wish no part of that for Canada. Unlike USA, Russia, France, Britain whose economic growth is based on blood money, Canada is not like that.

And I guess Russia had nothing to do with it right? Damn Russians invaded Afghanistan long before Americans did. But Russians screwed up Afghanistan for good which was enjoying its best years under Zhahir Shah, the golden years which never returned to Afghanistan thanks to Russian invasion but Americans saved Afghanistan from brutal Taliban and tried to save Iraqis from the mass murderer Saddam Hussein. And as for Syria, I guess you conveniently forgot to mention Russian bombardments of civilian targets killing thousands of innocent defenseless women and children in northern Syria. Down with Russia. When you are civilized enough to enter a debate then I will debate you. If Canada is so bad then get the hell out. What are you doing here? Enjoying all the benefits that come with it and then attacking the very foundation that brought you all those benefits?

If true then send them to US why the hell Canada should pay a price whenever there is instability or war somewhere on this planet!!!!!!.
