I agree with your reasons behind the add.And the only way to attack Rae is through his time as premier of Ontario. I would add that this approach by the conservatives is risky! They are opening a can of worms that could come back to haunt the conservative brand in several different ways. This is why I think the conservatives are very worried, they must be aware of the risks when they open this can of worms, but they still think that it is worth the risk.Desperate actions from desperate people. For me this is a difficult subject to comment on but here goes. I personaly am against abortion. I believe all life is beautifull and should be respected. However life is not so simply defined. Many people are vegetarians, claiming the same rally cry as the pro life group. However many people and other life forms around the world are dependant and consuming other life forms to continue their existence.I myself consume the flesh of other forms of life and am dependant on continuing to do so. So in this case do we have the right to tell other people how they should aquire their nutrition? Is human life more important then other life forms? For life to continue cells must continue to divide(egg and sperm/xx xx and xx xy/female and male) off from an original host. And at some point the cells dividing off from the original host becomes a seperate life form.Does the host not have a say? When my wife becomes pregnant we will never have an abortion! But I do not believe I am in any position to tell others the same. Maybe God does, but not me. WWWTT

Thats quite the rant you go on explaining how little you understand about the conflict and turmoil Czarist Russia/Soviet Union/post Soviet Russia has bein through! You are aware that the former Soviet union shared a border with Afganistan are you not? For many decades the Russians had many problems with their Muslim/Islamic regions in their south west(and still do to this very day) that bordered Afganistan.Much like the current problem with Pakistan aiding Afganistan taliban. If you think I am making this up then you will never understand the extensive problems that Russia has had with maintaining the largest country in the world! WWWTT

OK then if you feel so strong about that, next time Cretien makes a public speech in the US get a few of your buddies together and go protest him. If you do not like the fact that Canadians are protesting your idol, crying about it is not going to change how many up here feel. As far as your taliban comment goes, what are you talking about? WWWTT

Clearly that is your argument. However many in Canada can use the fact that I highlighted to argue in their advantage. Newfoundland and Labrador has a land mass greater than all of the British isles combined! And stating they were not a province in the UK would give them less entitlement is somewhat belittling to them! Thats not what the trend in rural Canada indicates. Your initial argument was that only urban Canada was following the trend of supporting the NDP. I however have clearly provided evidence that the NDP are gaining popularity in many non urban regions of Canada, you choose to dismiss it.I don't believe the conservatives are dismissing this fact! Earlier you made a quote about urban Canada being under represented.I live in Brampton West the most populated/under-represented riding in Canada.I have bein trying to contact Kyle Seeback about bill C-377 and its annoying he has not goten back to me yet! Ok then explain why the province of Saskatchewan voted 32.4% for the NDP? How about rural northern Ontario?Rural Quebec? How about the dozens and dozens and dozens of other Canadian rural seats that voted the NDP to second place? WWWTT

You sure with the robo call controversy its not buy-election? WWWTT

Rob Ford,up to this day has lost 2lbs.2 freekin pounds?Did I read that right? At this rate he will die of a cartiach arrest/heart attack/stroke about two months later in life! That a boy Ford!Your a freekin shining example of what we can accomplish with will power. But thats OK buddy because our health care system will postpone your pitifull life as long as possible despite how many greasy bacon cheese burgers you try to ram down your throat buddy! WWWTT

Ya I guess we can't look too much into this be-election. But what gets me is the dismall conservative turnout. And this must have the conservatives very concerned. They were only able to get a majority without signifigant support from Quebec because of the strong support from Ontario. If they start losing support in Ontario to the liberals and the NDP take support away in BC,Sask.,Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces they will find them selves in opposition come next general election. Anyways there will be more bi-elections in the future. WWWTT

Bad news for the liberals and good for the conservatives. But if the liberals can turn things around and bring their vote back from the conservatives then the NDP can run up the middle to form government! WWWTT
-
Actually it looks like the overall turnout is very low! Perhaps the unusual summer weather has a negative influence. WWWTT

Toronto-Danforth By-election

Maybe you don't "get it" WWWTT -
Sorry! WWWTT

We all knew that this would be a hard one for the liberals to pull off. But what we can all read into this one is "what happened to the conservative vote?" Where did the conservative vote go? You heard the saying "Once you go black you never go back"? Well it looks like "Once you go conservative, you go staight back to the liberals"! HAAA! WWWTT

Toronto-Danforth By-election

HAAA! The conservative vote moves back to the liberals.Where did I hear that before? Maybe it was here on MLW? Maybe it had something to do with the conservative attack adds on Bob Rae? Who was it that was predicting this? WWWTT -
What I meant to say in an earlier comment was that Newfoundland left Britain with 50%+1 so as to join Canadian confederation. So therefore this fact is very relevant and has merit in all future similar cases! WWWTT

Toronto-Danforth By-election

I think this thread is under the wrong heading. Anyways the liberals have all their heavyweights trying to get this seat. Man they're going to be disappointed if they lose. WWWTT
