Not guilty? I hope he gets a sentence of sorts by someone.
WWWTT replied to a topic in Local Politics in Canada
And that bigger bullie would do the same thing as they did. Do you not see the contradiction in your statement? WWWTT -
Ya maybe I better not get involved WWWTT

And if Peggy wins, how many will join/vote for the NDP,we'll take our chances! WWWTT

Haa!Whats a waldo washer? WWWTT

Yes the reform/alliance/conservatives did make implications that they are not from Quebec! This is about how I feel that if Mulcair is elected, then the conservatives may be tempted to revert to the old reform "read between the lines" statements and policies! The same can be said about how the conservatives approach gay/same sex and abortion issues! There are many examples that can be argued for and against. WWWTT

And its in my opinion that it is a good thing we have different opinions to freely express and debate! WWWTT

I think you are losing the spirit of this run. This is an excellent opportunity for the NDP to showcase the depth of talent we have! But during the final weekend its all about picking one leader and thats when we have to convert back to the traditional ways of doing so over a weekend long process and run off ballots and droped out candidates pushing their support for someone still in the running! Some things should still be left to tradition! WWWTT

Hey if you can not dedicate the time required then you should not be dictating the future of the party! If you work for a company that will not give you some time off for something important in your life then is that a good comnpany to work for?We are talking about the NDP here remember?Workers rights? And if you are a student then maybe you should not get too involved until you have a little more time. WWWTT

Well then I guess we are at a stalemate then.Good for you Wild! And as a side note you have the opposite aproach as bush_cheney2004.I have often critisized him for being too quantity vs quality in his comments.Where as you are more quality! WWWTT

You are asking the wrong person, ask this question to someone from Alberta. WWWTT

Re check comment 772 I made in this thread Maybe I should make it clear that I am not for early voting. This is done by mail in and on line voting. However if you live far away from where the convention is being held then there can be some contradiction here. Real time on line is a solution that I can agree with. As far as people working shifts and students that have to study?Hey this leadership convention only comes up every 5-10 years,if some members can not make a small sacrifice to something as important as this then does the party really want them voting in such important matters?I say no! New website for sane minded Canadians.
WWWTT replied to Liberator.'s topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is a contradicting statement! If people do not pay income taxes then how can they have a say about other peoples money? WWWTT -
On line real time voting as the floor voting is going through would be the easy answer for you. I was recently a scrutineer in an election recently for the union I belong to.It was a mail in ballot. And the mail in ballot system is filled with flaws. Aswell if you are serious about the party then maybe some sacrifice is neccessary to ensure your voice is heard. Thats just my opinion WWWTT

In all that have you written here, does anything explain why 80%+ of the vote from Alberta is always for a party that has deep roots not from Quebec? You are trying to justify the reform/alliance/conservative grassroots as if we were in some kind of legal court?!And the court of public opinion does not follow the same rules as a court of law.Ever! But for the reform/alliance/conservatives to imply that they are anti Quebec usually takes on a more subtle/read between the lines approach. I have talked to many voters that consistently vote conservative/alliance/reform and they would never vote for any party that has a leader or stong roots from Quebec. This a well known fact and there is nothing that you can say that will change the minds of any of these voters or many that are aware of this fact! WWWTT
-
Yes and the province of Alberta!Among others too. WWWTT
-
Whether you agree with Ignatieff or not does not change the fact that for the last 20-30yrs in Canada, politics can get very ugly/dirty.And politicians need thick skin and have to be able to take a few shots. Ignatieff was never capable to change the reality! Nor was he able to take a few shots!Let alone give any hard political punches! WWWTT
-
I am personaly against the mail in ballot and on line voting! All voting should be done on the floor. Perhaps real time on-line voting should be allowed to co-incide with the on floor voting. But ultimately the NDP members should be forced to wait until the final weekend to make up their mind as to whom the best candidate should be! WWWTT
-
If Mulcair cannot win on the first ballot then this can be a serious game changer! WWWTT
-
Are you kidding me? Up until several years ago the reform/aliance support was pivatol on their anti Quebec stance! And after the last election with only 5 Quebec seats there could be a strong desire from the conservatives to gravitate towards their traditional ways.Expecialy if the polls continue to show the NDP eating away their support in Manitoba/Sask./BC! And if Mulcair becomes the NDP leader then the fruit of the old reform ways will be too tempting for the conservatives to resist! WWWTT
-
If the conservatives try to resurect a buried threat from the past Canadians may not be very forgiving. WWWTT
-
Sounds like wishfull thinking! However it is possible that if Mulcair wins the conservatives will revert back to their anti Quebec propaganda that they are famous for. This will ultimately solidify the NDP support in Quebec.Aswell many other Canadians will be very turned off to see a federalist party picking on French Canada so much so that many Ontario/Atlantic/Manitoba/Saskatchewan/BC voters could send a strong message to the conservatives! Sounds like the conservatives are getting worried. WWWTT

HAHA thats freekin funny man! WWWTT

Is Ontario getting "too much" from Confederation?
WWWTT replied to TheNewTeddy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You are making a contradiction. And aswell you are furthering my point or you did not completely read the comment that I made where you cropped out this one sentence. I clearly mention the strength of the conservative vote in Ontario,I even go further to imply that because of the blind faith Ontario voters have is part of the reason why we are being short changed.Maybe you don't like that part? WWWTT -
Who's bein charged? Aswell any acusation or claim can be made in the lower house, the lower house does not have to abide by the same rules as a provincial/federal court. Another side note would be that we are all innocent until proven guilty-only in a court of law! WWWTT

Is Ontario getting "too much" from Confederation?
WWWTT replied to TheNewTeddy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is an odd thread? And I am still not sure I should be replying in it. Obviously Ontario is currently a have not province, for many many years Ontario has contributed more than it has received. To me it is apparent that Ontario should now be receiving more but the federal conservatives do not want to further burden the provinces where their vote is strong! And why should they?Ontario voters are blindly voting for them in complete ignorance of the fact transfer payments are short changing Ontarians!McGuinty is somehow failing in getting the message out but still somehow succeeded in getting a very strong minority government in the last election! And this is where this topic becomes confusing and difficult to find a "smoking gun" that we can all point to and say "AHA,we're getting screwed in Ontario!"
