  1. People who lie and then delete rebuttals to their lies are cowards.

  2. If Kavanaugh's speech was intended to show he isn't an entitled frat boy with anger issues and a tendency to avoid telling the truth, he failed miserably. The crocodile tears were a nice touch, but saying Ford is part of a grand Democratic conspiracy showed him to be a real slimeball.
  3. You can certainly see him being an angry drunk. Hard not to believe Ford's testimony

Really, you don't think there is and was a concerted effort to destroy him before he got to the supreme court....really?

I don't believe in conspiracy theories without evidence. And I don't believe in appointing Mr. Angryman as a judge. What if some case makes him break down in tears again?

Really, Hal? After watching Ford's testimony after all your BS that she wouldn't even show up, you're comfortable saying it's all a setup? He proved he isn't cut out for the job with his tantrum. Give it up and move on. Don't reduce yourself to being a conspiritard for that guy.

  4. So, in other words, you believe the women but don't care?
  5. Why is sexual assault the only crime where people decide for themselves whether it happened based on absolutely nothing but whether they would prefer if it didn't happen?
  6. How does having an investigation go against the concept of innocent until proven guilty?

  7. Interesting that Ramirez didn't come forward herself. Kavanaugh's assault of her was so widely known by so many people, the New Yorker approached her.
  8. We have learned this week that Trump's penis is small, but not "freakishly" small.

But the description of the mushroom-head glans made me a little sick

  9. How did you see the reports? They aren't public yet.
  10. The more you read about it, the more it makes sense to try to reduce our waste, doesn't it?
  11. And yet you fight efforts to produce less garbage.
  12. We don't give it. We sell it. We do that because we produce more than we can deal with. And yet you fight efforts to produce less. Once again: logic fail.
  13. I can make it simple for you. Your OP says we shouldn't worry about plastic like straws and sandwich bags and that it's foolish to try to not use them. Then you said the fact that people aren't doing much to combat plastic waste is evidence that we don't need to do anything. When I was a teacher and had a paper with logic like that, I would have given them a D. If their writing was like yours, I would have flunked them. But then I taught in high school and you might not be there yet.
  14. So your argument that we shouldn't do more to protect the environment is that if the environment needed protection we would be doing more to help the environment? Now you'll say that's not what you said and nobody understands you. This is why I avoid arguing with teenagers.
  15. No surprise that the people most upset about the Trudeau groping allegations are back to saying women should not be believed again.

  16. North America. Then it's exported to "third world" countries for disposal (and blame). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_waste_trade
  17. That's a classic example of denier psychology. It's like they can't accept that their actions have consequences and they might be part of the problem. Plastics in the ocean? Don't worry. It's all been inventoried by me and I blame the brown people!
  18. Not only Trump. A Trump official in HUD (Lynne Patton) spent the hurricane tweeting suggestions that the media was lying about it and it wasn't that bad. Think about how sick and irresponsible that is. Waitaminute...am I trying to encourage Trump supporters to actually think of the damage they are causing? That sound like a lost cause.
  19. The ass-clown president is not much smarter. He too thought it was a good idea to deny the intensity of the hurricane in the middle of it, suggesting Anderson Cooper was lying about its intensity. Anderson has already proved him wrong, but you'll never see ass-clown president retract a false claim like the NYT does when they make a mistake. This willingness to deny reality and people's suffering seems outright evil to me.
  20. As people mature, they realize the choices they make have consequences and the good people among them try to mitigate the damage by making better choices. You don't have to attack them just because you haven't reached that stage yet. When you're older, you'll probably be mortified by some of the things you've said and the damage you've caused, and environmentalism will make sense to you because you'll realize human life is precious and shouldn't be taken for granted.

I have often wondered whether these teenage Trump supporters believe they're exercising the media literacy taught to them in schools by taking it to the extreme and simply questioning reality itself

Presenting actual evidence shuts those smiley faces down pretty quick. :P

  22. Is it the mentality of the Right to just say BS whenever they feel like it, like Trudeau has tripled the debt?
  23. It's perfectly legal, but it's also unprecedented. It seems petty to use it in this case, considering it appears he just wants to get revenge and screw things over in the middle of an election. I imagine his caucus is furious right now to have this issue hijack their agenda. And I can't imagine there is a majority of MPPs willing to pull the trigger and override the charter for no good reason.
  24. They all have something to do with Trump and Russian collusion. Otherwise they would have been referred to other law enforcement.
