Judaic-christian Culture Is Superior
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
BD, you are right. There is a reason as Mark Steyn said, why 8 million Arabs live in France and 3 Swedes live in the Middle East. We are in danger of losing what makes Western culture and society valuable, moral and highly assimiliative. Post Modern wackyism is the vanguard of a socialist movement to erase important advantages that the orthodox Liberal tradition has bestowed on our societies. -
Terminator As Governor/saviour ?
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Bush is fighting a war not impeachment. Yes spending must be reduced i fully agree. Now with the moderate Reps and Dumbocruds assent to massive non essential, non military cuts ? Tax cuts and growth will close the deficit gap by early 2005 as well. Good try - do yourself a favor - don't discuss economics. -
Go Howie Go. Anybody but Eves.

Lie-beralism loves to rewrite history. Contra was an attempt by the US to be on both sides in the Iran-Iraq war - both powers were deemed essential to Middle Eastern stability - as well as unseat an insidious communist dictatorship in Nicaragua without going through an impossibly tortuous House and Congress. It was the right thing to do. The fact that 'stability' there is flawed is now obvious. However, in the 80s this was US doctrine - both countries should offset each other. I have worked in E. Europe and Russia - it is a landscape that is devoid of anything we here in the West covet or recognise. The entire destruction of people, morals and the environment is so pervasive it will take 2 generations to restore common sense and normalcy. Cultures and systems are not relative or equal. This is the Lie-beral flaw that snot nosed Harvard Profs espouse. This is why the elite hates practicality and Republicanism.

Time to win the war and end the unending virtual reality on display. Kill Arafat and his entire inner circle. Crush Hamas and Holy Jihad and give the Palestinians a choice - more of this or you start to organise for peace.

Liberal Judges Save Davis - For Now
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The recall is an expression of popular revulsion. Courts cannot block this on some idiotic rationale. Davis was elected with Chad Ballots so i now suppose the court can declare him an illegal governor ? The polls are insignificant at this point. Arnie will most likely win once the other Conservatives stop their campaigns and join his team. -

Affirmative Discrimination and Racism
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Some people don't have any intelligent arguments other than baseless charges of racism. Try to walk on your hind legs only please. -
I am fully in favor of free markets, allowing firms to decide their own compensation levels and allowing competition. I am also in favor of the NYSE and invest in the Dow and S&P. I am not however in favor of nepotism, greed and corruption at the top levels of any company or paying someone like Grasso $140 mn USD. Check out Dick Grasso - head of the NYSE - and see if you think this is fair: -U$ 2.5 million paycheck as CEO per annum -Runs a medium sized corporation with $2 billion in assets -No competition - a virtual monopoly -Acts as a regulator for the NYSE markets -Follows Federal rules -Will receive $140 million in pay out bonuses and retirement funds Performance ? His price per seat [what companies pay to sit on the exchange] UNDER performed the S&P index during his tenure 1995-now. Reasons given for the $140 mn: -He is a great leader -He updated the software system for trading -He build a backup generator system which allowed NYSE to trade after 9-11 -He has no hair and a squeaky voice He should resign, and the entire board with him. This is disgusting - an abuse of a system and of profits. Half of all profits made are now paid to one man !! No wonder capitalism has its critics.

Civil marriages and Religious marriages are different. One is secular one is not. To elevate Gay marriage to the same level as normal unions contravenes common sense, and displaces the Church in favor of the State. It is wrong on all accounts.

I urge people to read this book. The author spent 2 years on it, interviewed all top Clinton aid's, field personnel in the FBI and CIA and spend months with Arabic speaking officers in various countries who are fighting terrorism. He also somehow got his hands on super confidential documents from the US and abroad. His conclusion: Clinton wanted an image as a peacemaker and needed the far left wing of the Dumbocrud party for support on a range of political issues. Ergo, politics trumped security. The field forces of the FBI and CIA were fully engaged in the war on terror, but the further you climbed the bureaucratic and political ladder the more muddied and lethargic was the response to a series of direct assualts by Bin Laden against US interests, people and assets, including the Aden Hotel bombing, the '93 WTO bombing, 2 Embassy bombings in East Africa, bombing of the USS Cole, and a number of other attacks. The author states that Clinton did not do enough and viewed these attacks as criminal investigations not acts of war. Hundreds of Americans and thousands of other nationalities died. August 7th 1998 when the embassy bombs ripped through 2 East African cities was the moment for Clinton to finally, belatedly, lethargically accept that a war was in process and to rally the nation. He did nothing. This is Clinton's legacy - the emboldening of terrorist activity and the devastation of 9-11.

Education - Canada Does Better Than Us
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Hey genius the US spends more per capita than in Canada - so what is your point on money ? The system is broken in both Canada and the States - more so there than in Canada at the public school system level. At higher education levels the US is however leaps and bounds ahead of Canada even discounting the Ivy League snots who learn that Westernism is bad, White people are stupid and that post modern marxism is the only moral vehicle of societal organisation. The US needs to fix its system of management of schools - unions, vested interests, school boards, and vouchers all need reform. As well the curriculum which is becoming a pathetic morass of non essential courses, post modern rights, obsession with minority revisionism and pandering to the 'self esteem' of the poor little dears, as well as incredibly 'sensitivity training' in some states, all needs to go. Basically the US system is so bad because of the lack of competition, lack of transfer rights and unions/school boards wasting huge amounts of budget on non-essential items. Spending per student has nothing to do with quality per student. -
For the uninitiated a brief history of the world's ugliest man [ok maybe Steve Tyler is uglier]: ============ If you look at the Nobel Prizes' own biography of Yasser Arafat, you find this remarkable sentence toward the end: "Like other Arab regimes in the area, however, Arafat's governing style tended to be more dictatorial than democratic." That is to say, Arafat by his own choice of governance -- dictatorship over democracy -- bears individual responsibility for the legacy he leaves. That legacy includes: the contemporary crime of hijacking and blowing up civilian-filled airliners; the attempted destabilization of Jordan and Israel and the successful destruction of Lebanon as a formerly sovereign nation; and decades of violated international agreements, culminating in the collapse of Oslo. Last year, in a perfect storm of bad faith, Arafat was caught paying for the shipment of arms from Iran to the Palestinian territories aboard the Karine A. Across these years, the West, mainly the European nations, accomplished the post-WWII feat of pretending that crime is not crime, so long as the motives and politics for the crimes are moralized. The U.S. and Israel participated as well in the pretense, bringing Arafat out of exile in Tunis. The world has learned since that this apologetics (and much direct funding) has made possible any crime, culminating in the anti-moral act known as suicide bombers. Arafat most recently threw over Mahmoud Abbas, and the fatigued West barely sighed in complaint. ============ Great summary of a dictator, demagogue and destroyer of lives. May he rot in hell and may the EU ninnies shut up.

Gay Marriage - At Last Some Sense
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Pretty sad that people equate a pyschologically disturbed mental condition with melanin levels in the skin. Gays already have rights and the fact that they suffer from a mental affliction is obvious to all. Slavery was an economic system with a political superstructure that was torn down, thankfully, in pieces over about 150 years starting in 1817 and ending in 1962 or thereabouts with Civil Rights Legislation. Gay Marriage has nothing to do with slavery, or melanin levels in the skin. It has to do with separation of church and state and whether the Judiciary or Parliament actually runs the country. -
Well he is in his Ramallah compound with his ugly cohort. The Mossad could do the job in a second. Exile is not an option, Arafat will go back to Tunisia, plot, run arms and money and disrupt the peace process. Death by a thousand cuts is appropriate - one cut for every murdered Jew.....
-
Come on be realistic. This vote is a party whipped vote, and elevates the Judiciary in Canada over Parliament. Another Trudeau - Chretien legacy. The slow dismemberment of political institutions in favor of Liberal judges and judgements. Sad.

Uncle Ernie, who is probably right now crying somewhere out of compassion for something, does not deserve to be premier. Neither however does Howdy Doody McGuinty. Neither one is consistent, has a plan, or will contain spending and initiate needed reforms and tax cuts. They are both demagogic Lie-berals - out to buy votes and cry in front of CTV and CBC. That leaves our man Howie Hampton - who will nationalise everything including large appurtenances found in men's trousers. But why not ? Give Howie a chance - at least he has a plan [a very bad one], says what he thinks [not that intelligent], will lower MP salaries [this alone should allow him to win], and will still wear bad clothes post-election [his unattractive wife should help him]. A man for the people I say. Give Howie a Chance. At least he stands for something.

The Dumbocruds and their media allies are preparing for 2004 and 2008. All foreign policy initiatives are portrayed as 'disasters'. You know the litany - Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, China, North Korea, Russia, Venezuela and so on. Yawn. Heard all that during the Cold War - the America is a loser and can't win argument and France does not like us. Ho hum. Next the economy is in disastrous shape, trade deficits with China will destroy the US, budget deficits will impair civil society, tax hikes are mandatory and more spending needed. Yawn. Heard all that during the Reagan-Bush I years, which were followed by the biggest economic rise in recent history. Ho hum. The Dumbocruds have 3 problems - no leadership, they are controlled by Hollywood Sluts and Trial Lawyers, and they are always wrong. Great Party otherwise. Just look at the current state of California, er Mexifornia, er Calexico, er Mexicali or whatever the Post Moderns now call it.

Is there any doubt that the J-C culture with the orthodox Liberal model of power separation and market economics is superior to any system invented in the history of man ? Isn't this what the current conflict with a defeated, moribund and humiliated Islam is actually about ?

good post, I will use it and post it on a web site of mine. do you have a URL ? good ideas and he is right on the mark.

No one will 'rally' around the world's ugliest terrorist, except uglier female friends perhaps. The power vacuum will be quickly filled. Killing Arafat would give the Palestinians the chance they say they want - a constructive government, dedicated to building a state. The ugly one should have been dealth with LONG ago.

Canada beat the pants off of the US in a recent OECD international test of 15 year olds. The US spends the most of any country - $11 K USD per student year. I think Canada spends about $7 K USD per student year. This is still a sizeable chunk of change. However the US had abysmal ratings. Rankings by order: Math: Japan, Korea, NZ, Finland, Australia, Canada and the US @ 19 [out of 23] Reading: Finland, Canada, NZ, Australia and US @ 15 ! Science: Korea, Japan, Finland, UK, Canada and US @ 14 ! Canada finished 5th 2nd and 4th. Not bad. CNN called the US results 'middle of the pack'. Come on they are a disaster. US universities are the best in the World, the high school and lower school systems are a shambles. This is one area in which Canada is superior. The trick in Canada is to liberate the University system and make it uber-competitive with the US.

Yes KK you point out a critical distinction between Islam and Protestantism [not Catholicism]. This is free will, free interpretation and freedom of implementation. Into such an intellectual ferment goes ideas, concepts, interpretations and beliefs - all different - all singular and often times competing. It is healthy. It leads to inquiry, innovation and tolerance. The bedrock of Judeao-Christian civilisation. Culture does matter.

Liberal Judges Save Davis - For Now
Craig Read replied to Craig Read's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Yes i agree. Have to love the Lie-beral judges - a bunch of Grade A Wackos apparently. People that know them and the process say they are as about left-liberal as you would find. They would enjoy working in La-La Land North one assumes. Both Canada and Mexifornia covet: -Judges overruling elected assemblies -Apartheid systems -Destruction of history -Revisionism where Whites are bad -Relativism -Legalising the Illegal -Secularising the Church Pathetic. They will destroy society. -
Ontario Liberals And The Media
Craig Read replied to dnsfurlan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We are talking about Eves not Harris. Hello. Eves has rolled back many of Harris' ideas, stopped the tax cuts in October 2002 which broke his own party's law, and refuses to reform Health, Transport, Immigration or Energy. Hello. Where is the Conservatism in Uncle Ernie's policy ? Show me ONE. Wake up. Ernie is just another liberal demagogue buying votes.
