Who said i was a leftie ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So am I to assume you are a righty? Or a centrist? Just wondering. Or are you just a critic who has no political leanings?
-
I find it funny that two lefties will say we have too much government!!! The people who agree with parties who support the "welfare state" are telling us we are over-governed. My god, what has this world come too. And as much as I hate to admit it, I agree with you. Less government! More accountability! Lets get the Conservatives in to produce such and outcome!!!
-
The only thing worse than a blind Liberal is a tree-hugging NDPer. The NDP did nothing but grab some money away from well-needed tax cuts, to support their artsy fartsy, lazy ass, welfare bums, so that they don't have to go to work again this year. Those tax cuts would have probably jump started some companies in need and bolstered the economy. Instead, lets give it to the lazy people, so we can head towards our cozy "welfare state". We need a lesser government that is more accountable to it's people!! Not a socialist gov't.

I guess little things like housing and environment don't affect you. Well, they affect tens of thousands of people. And Martin, unlike Harper, was willing to cooperate with party leaders. Seems to me to be the essence of a democratic system. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He is willing to kiss anyone's ass when he needs the support is what you should have said noobie. Funny how blind you get when you become a Liberal.
-
I think with the soaring gas prices and the Liberal government's refusal to help with tax cuts is gong to piss off alot of Liberal voters. This is going to be a rough election for the Liberals. Might look like the '84 election when it's all said & done!
-
I think it's his campaign run. Carry a bag of cash to Sask, hoping to buy a couple votes. Seems very transparent to me. Goodale is looking for re-election and hoping to please his people. If Goodale was smart he would ditch PM and try to get elected on his merit. Goodale's budget was supposed to bring cash to Sask, so maybe he'll win some favor. Since an election is not yet called, he can bill the taxpayers for a free campaign run!!!

Parrish says she'll vote against Martin government
Leader Circle replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Martin can definitely try that, but there is a reasonable question all three opposition leaders can ask in response. What has he done to prove he deserves to be trusted with a majority? Thankfully that picture will be long forgotten by the time of the next election. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For how things are going a majority is out of the question for anyone and if they can't get along to some extent....we're gonna keep having confidence votes. Parrish is a liability no matter what color she wears! -
I like your quote.... I agree whole heartedly and the people that come to mind are blacks, gays, and natives!! Why do they feel it necessary to show it off? Why is there a "Gay Pride Parade"??

GG, Martin, PMO and Canada

At least he didn't appoint Belinda Stronach! LOL Can she speak french? Nothing would surprise me with this dumbass! Waiting for the election! -
Any idea where they spent that money? Wasn't on roads!
-
I would love to see the proof of Saskatchewan being affluent!! Ever travelled on their roads??? Not the sign of an affluent province! I think Sask is one of the poorer provinces in Canada. Now in BC with the Campbell Liberals, they seem to be taking an upturn! They had to trim down about 300,000 gov't and/or union jobs, but they'll get there! More province....less Ottawa, the way to fix the west!!

I found out that THELIBERAL has a website.... I searched stephen harper on internet explorer and found this goofy website. It reminded me of THELIB and thought some of it was funny. This guy definitely has a hate on for everything! Some moron's take on Harper I am just now reading a book on Stephen Harper called: "Stephen Harper and the future of Canada" by William Johnson. So far, it is quite interesting. Even though I support him, I find that I don't know much about him, so for those of you in the same category, maybe reading this may enlighten some! Coyne's take on the Jean fiasco.

Irony, by definition mirror, "The words ironic, irony, and ironically are sometimes used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply “coincidental” or “improbable,” in that they suggest no particular lessons about human vanity or folly.", so for you to insult him for making a bunch of posts on one topic is ironic! How many more posts about Layton can we get? "Layton Overtakes Harper Second Most Popular Leader", "Layton Proposes Export Tax on Oil to US", "Jack Layton", "NDP should focus entirely on the Liberals", just to name a few. So for you to rag on shoop for posting tidbits on the new GG is IRONIC! Are you afraid someone will steal your title as link & topic starter king? LOL -
I know this one. It'll be -8.8 C. My reasoning.... 32 F = 0 C, so half of 32 is 16.... 16 F= -8.8 C. LOL! I know this is a philosophical question, but I think my theory holds some weight!

Does the Liberal Party speak for English Canada?
Leader Circle replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think Gilles Duceppe speaks for them quite well. I think Duceppe is a good leader and looks out for the people of Quebec. -

Is canada In Danger Of Becoming A Police State?
Leader Circle replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In the Yarmouth incident, he did have a gun. I have family that knows this guy and he apparently lost his marbles and started shooting the windows out of his own house. He then ran into the bush and from reports, he turned the gun on the cops and was shot. not sure of the details exactly, but if he turned a gun on them, he is gonna get shot by any cop! crazy, I am not saying all cops are bad, I just think they need to be moved around more as to prevent being corrupted. If you stay too long, you develope stereotypes for everyone you know and tend to be less/more tolerant with people. In Digby, the cop in question is a bad actor and has been there way too long. -

Is canada In Danger Of Becoming A Police State?
Leader Circle replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Whoa buddy! This is emotional drivel. Back up your statements before you slam the cops like this. I'll ignore this post if you want because it's more like coffeehouse slander than a productive post. Otherwise, what was the guys mental state and did he resist arrest or was merely beaten to death as you say over a 'silly' subduction? How long have the cops been posted there and how are they corrupt? Why are they still on duty if there is documented corruption? The cop you named, what other incidents has he been involved in? Your friend described an incident with very colorful language. You weren't there but take everything he said as factual enough to report here. Seagulls on a hot dog? Really. Now you are sure many small towns are victims of such cops. Cops that you allege did certain things that you report second hand, allegedly corrupt with no facts to back it up. Are you sure you don't want to maybe edit that post? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would not edit this at all. If you were to check the record for this guy, you would find a whole bunch of complaints about him. I know this guy and he is a scumbag! He has been punished by his superiors more than once. He is not the only one either. I have first hand knowledge of cops from this detachment and they treat this town like they own it. This is an opinion forum and if you can't take my word for it, then don't bother. -

Does the Liberal Party speak for English Canada?
Leader Circle replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Layton Overtakes Harper Second Most Popular Leader
Leader Circle replied to mirror's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Nah, knowing Canada we export 3 million and we import 2.16 million at a much higher price! Good ole left wing economics! Kind of like our lumber, we produce it here, cut it up into smaller pieces, send it to Vancouver, they hold it for a couple weeks, and send it back at 10X the price! -
Michaelle Jean political death watch?
Leader Circle replied to shoop's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
At least her hubby doesn't make pornos! He makes wonderful little documentaries on separation, with the help of convicted murderers!!! These people are good for the federal morale! LOL
