  1. That's genius, I use a vpn from time to time to access American netflix. I used ps3 back when the NHL had a shortened season, gamecenter was on sale so I tried it out but was extremely dissapointed by the blackouts.
  2. Either way I still need it to watch the games. I could care less who provides them, if next year its much music that is supplying hockey broadcasts then I'll subscribe to them. I don't much care for cable or the companies that provide it. Its just my hd streams aren't as good of quality as what I can get over cable. No point in watching the game if I can't even see the puck.
  3. I'll just link to the image next time.
  4. No I said smoking a joint is "like" having a few beer. No one should be driving under either circumstances, but of course they both do entirely different things to you so it's really impossible to compare them im terms of how they effect your state of mind.
  5. I'm glad Minnesota is locked into that 1st playoff spot with Winnipeg. I can't stand LA or their recent growth of bandwagon fans so I'll take any team over them being in the playoffs.
  6. In other news the Leafs didn't have a sell-out crowd tonight for the first time in the Air Canada Centres history. Could this mean more non-sellouts during the re-rebuild?
  7. We got hosed!
  8. All I can say is who wants all the rest of this crap programming. All I need is CBC for Hockey Night In Canada saturday broadcasts, TSN 1 through 5, the regional sportsnet channels and the regional city tv channels and I'm set. I'd just use my little black box but the HD streams are never really up to par with cable box hd, not yet anyways.
  9. Stafford and Myers really proving the trade doubters wrong. They've arguably been among the Jets best players since being acquired. Stafford has played all 3 forward positions for us since being traded. Kane would only ever play LW because he is a "superstar" and can't be bothered to play on his off side or even learn. Stafford has been more effective than Kane was or is and most likely would have been this season and instrumental in our recent 4 game and hopefully 5 game win streak right now. Myers is without a doubt better than Bogosian. Can't wait for Armia to make the jump next year.
  10. I know many many people who are contributing members of society that smoke marijuana almost daily. Most of them are in the trades but some are psychologists, doctors and teachers. I'd say marijuana hasn't destroyed their lives any more than having a beer or two after a hard days work destroys mine. It's when people become dependant on it or when they are using it to numb emotional pain. Having a joint after a hard days work is no different than having a few beer. In fact one could say, it's earned. Cigarettes are about a hundred times more deadly than marijuana, but you don't see these same crusaders spending half as much energy trying to get cigarettes off the streets. Let's be honest about what the real detrimental narcotic to society is.
  11. Bettman would never freeze the ball for Toronto. When he was made Commissioner of the league in the 90's he had two goals; implement a salary cap and grow the game in the US. He has accomplished the former, as for the latter, the game has without a doubt grown exponentially in California and even Oregon and Seattle. The game has always been popular on the east coast but it's the central US that they have had trouble in, places where Baseball, Football and Basketball remain the most popular sports. If the fix is in for any team at this point it will be the Coyotes. Bettman and co. have been fighting tooth and nail to keep that team in Arizona. The next few years are pivotal for that team. Although the home grown Arizona talent in Auston Matthews is the big name in next years "Yankee" draft so it might be better to put the fix in then. I'm almost certain Florida will relocate in the next few years, as long as Tampa Bay remains I don't think many in Florida will care for the panthers departure, hopefully to Quebec.
  12. No one is a sure win at this point in the season, even Buffalo can give teams some trouble. The Jets, Sens and Minny are the feel good stories of the season. Hopefully they can all overcome and hold off Boston and LA for the next 10 games. Always good to have more Canadian teams in the playoffs, as soon as my team gets eliminated I always cheer for the remaining Canadian teams. Would be nice to bring the cup back home.
  13. Well kids can already get it now. When I was in high school it was incredibly easy to find, but so were cigarettes and alcohol. The fact that they were restricted to adults never stopped us from getting them. The point is, as adults, we should be able to make our own decisions. To think that organized gangs are going to get together to sell butane oil to kids is ridiculous. I don't see any street gangs selling alcohol or cigarettes to kids. It's really not worth the effort especially considering many kids have older siblings or cousins or friends that will be willing to get these things for them for free. The best thing to do is legalize it, regulate it and tax it and use some of those taxes to educate kids on the dangers of smoking marijuana before they are adults and the dangers of abusing it. Much like we do with alcohol.
  14. I've tried it yes. I don't smoke marijuana frequently, maybe once every year if that. But I have many friends that do smoke marijuana very frequently to many times daily, some need it for medicinal purposes, some do not. I had heard of it and decided I wanted to see what it was like for myself, I had one dab as they call it and found it to be very potent. It's definitely not something a first time or very in-frequent user would want to try and I can guarantee you that if they do, they will not be trying it again any time soon. I'd say it's more for those that smoke daily. For those that need medicinal that is not covered and have to pay out of their own pockets it can be not only medically beneficial but also financially beneficial. They can use very minimal amounts of it every day and save a lot of money.
  15. More or less yes. It's just hash but made from butane. A dab will do ya is certainly correct. Extremely potent but not life threatening, save for butane explosions when making it. But if Marijuana was legalized this stuff would most certainly find its way into head shops in some form or another. More or less for users who have high immunities to smoking just marijuana bud. The lazy types will buy ready made shatter, those wishing to save some money will buy bud and make it into shatter. Either way the stuff is out there and accessible. Might as well make it legal for adults.
  16. Do I? So it's socially immature to play games? So does this count for all types of games? Are athletes socially immature because they play games? What about people on game shows? They must all be socially immature because they're playing a game right? I think almost everyone I know must have Peter Pan syndrome because they like to have fun. Wow never knew you were a psychologist too. It's okay to fight for social justice and play video games. Trust me, you can do both. So pretending to be something you're not on an opinion forum is more productive than pretending to be something you're not in a video game? Buddy give your head a shake. You're the only one living in a fantasy world.
  17. Myers really proved tonight how much of an asset he will be to this team going forward. I don't think ovie has had a tougher matchup all season long. Myers was on him like butter on movie theatre popcorn. Stafford has been pivotal to our 4 game win streak going into the final push for this team. If the Jets can continue to put some more points between themselves and LA over the next 10 games we can guarantee this team it's first playoff berth since the relocation and beginning of Jets 2.0 And Pav's is playng like a man on fire who can only get some water if we gets us to the playoffs. I love this team.
  18. But your path is the correct path to walk?
  19. You'd prefer none of us have any rights?
  20. More than half of adults in North America play video games. What makes playing video games any worse than any other hobby? Because you don't do it? I'm almost scared to ask what you do for fun. You don't watch spectator sports or play video games. Do you knit? Crochet?
  21. Tyler Myers since coming to the Jets: 14 Games Played - 2 Goals - 8 Assists - 10 Points - +5 Zach Bogosian since leaving the Jets: 12 Games Played - 0 Goals - 4 Assists - 4 Points - +3 Drew Stafford since coming to the Jets: 15 Games Played - 6 Goals - 5 Assists - 11 Points - +1 Evander Kane this whole season with the Jets: 37 Games Played - 10 Goals - 12 Assists - 22 Points - -1 Yeah I'm more than happy with that trade as a Jets fan. Not to mention we also have a late 1st rounder in one of the deepest drafts in the last decade as well as Armia and Lemiuex. I've watched every single Jets game this season, all 72 of them. And I can tell you without a doubt that Stafford and Myers are already having a bigger impact on this team than Kane was. The only guy we've aqcuired this season that seems to be having a tough time adjusting is Tlusty and even he hasn't been so bad 3 points in last 9 games. Stempniak might be the best thing to happen to this team at the deadline. Unsung hero of the post-deadline Jets so far.
  22. I really hope Ottawa unseats Boston, I loaaatthe Boston. Would love nothing more than to see that team miss playoffs. I also hope the current Western Conference standings, at the time I type this, are the teams that make it. Would also love to see LA miss the playoffs. Their fans have become those annoying "we will win no matter what" fans. It would be a nice if the defending Stanley Cup champions miss the playoffs.
  23. Yikes the leafs are even having trouble with Edmonton.
  24. There has been talk of Vancouver getting a team since at least 2011, they have many immigrants from the pacific islands who are very much fans of the MLB. They have the Vancouver Canadians which are currently the Jays single A minor league affiliate and actually sold out 23 games last season. The economics of baseball can be pesky though, without a salary cap it would take a group of some incredibly rich people to make it happen. Not sure if many people in the Vancouver area have the love of baseball and the money to really make it happen.
  25. They're Canada's team until the Jets win the cup in 2 or 3 years!!! Just kidding, but seriously, but just kidding.
