No, but you can't separate the two politically.......hence the Liberals distancing themselves. -

I never said that she was……..But would one not consider a married couple being a packaged deal? If for instance, a political candidate ran on women issues, but was in a relationship with Karla Homolka, one wouldn’t expect comment? -
F-35 Purchase Cancelled; CF-18 replacement process begins

Every fleet of aircraft in the USAF has seen crashes for various reasons, this does not diminish said aircraft value……in the case of the B-2, a value highlighted by it’s capabilities. -
Not in the United States: Those “stats” are skewed, for they also include criminals and members in law enforcement…….I’ve no doubt that an armed gangster is likely to be killed by another gangster, but where said stats fall apart is when you use law abiding gun owners…….For example, this is no indication that I am sixty times more likely to be shot then yourself.

F-35 Purchase Cancelled; CF-18 replacement process begins

I assumed by: That is what you meant....none the less. No, the squadron (VMFA-121) is already operational, has turned in it’s legacy Hornets (same vintage as ours) and is currently conducting conversion training to the “B”…..The IOC date, will be when the squadron is deployable, at such time, the squadron will replace the current Hornet squadron in Japan (which will return Stateside for it’s own transition)……..Forward deployed forces within a Marine Aircraft Group are very much combat capable. I’d suggest the reason for the USMC reaching the IOC first is for several reasons……First, once the intial problems with the “B” were solved, said variant progressed rapidly. Second reason would be necessity, of the three services, the Marines legacy Hornets are by far the oldest (same age as ours) and most in need of urgent replacement. Unlike the failure on the engine test bed last December that was clearly attributed to (intended) fatigue, I’m not aware if this recent failure was on a high hour engine or simply one built on a Friday afternoon. -

Yes, but they know said problem has only been found on 3 aircraft, as such, one can determine it is not a problem found on the remainder of the fleet. -

As a contrast with historical aircraft………..Would you cede your Super Duper Hornets to be more capable then the first production variants? Nobody has suggested the F-35 is currently combat ready though……hence why the differing variants all have dates assigned for when they are projected to be. -

So you call into question his statement over the F-35’s current status…….or not? -

The current process for legacy aircraft has seen large improvements at various stages of a given aircraft‘s life, spawned by the various operators……this translates into upgrades to existing aircraft (Our Hornet upgrade for example) or new production variants (F/A-18 C&D). Where this will differ with the F-35, is that the aircraft will be continually upgraded, to a same standard for all users and financed by all operators based on a proportional level based on their given fleet size. -

Kendall’s importance as USD (AT&L) should be obvious……..As to optimism, from the information released to date, I see no reason to believe different……As to the flight to the United Kingdom, from the report I linked earlier, it stated that the aircraft would miss the opening, but could still participate later this week, with such determination being made in the next several days. -

The quoted passage from the Vice Admiral was from his memo that grounded the Navy and Marine fleets on the 3rd, at that time, it was not known if the problem was systemic or a one off incident. Said dated quote would bare no context to the determination of Friday’s meeting, which as relayed by the civilian head of the program today, has indicated the problem was likely unique to the sole engine in question and shared (minor) characteristics also found in several other engines…….namely the rubbing of blades in the low pressure compressor. The next official update will be on the 16th, of which I expect, the grounding to be lifted or an exemption granted to the Marine aircraft. -

I really don’t care up or down, but is their actually scientific data that suggest pot has less negative effects than alcohol……… None the less, it’s telling that the Trudeau Liberals appear to be distancing themselves from Emery. -

Reread your source………said comment by the Admiral was actually a leaked (to Reuters) internal NAVAIR memo, and occurred on the 3rd of July……… -

Exactly…….The F-117 was an effective bastard fleet that filled an early niche role…….the F-35 will normalize said role. -

That is a quite the impressive record then……..In effect, the F-117 cut off the head of Powell’s proverbial chicken. -

Does that total also include Tomahawks or just aircraft? Fore both were the only ones capable of operating over Baghdad in '91.......likewise, with the B-2, during the second go around. -

So you're suggesting both are lying, even though nobody outside of them, could actually prove it...... What aircraft have been at the forefront of allied air campaigns since the First Gulf War? Nobody said that they do……..but the Americans certainly don’t do war on the cheap when contrasted with most……..For them, unlike the peanut gallery in Canada, the selection of legacy types going forward into the decades ahead isn’t a consideration. No, it can't.......as I've said, the Leopard II hasn't been used in high intensity modern manoeuvre, armoured warfare………Grapeholing Afghani mud-huts wasn’t a true test…….. Also, the Challenger II did not participate in Operation Granby…In 2003, the only tank engagement I know of involved another Challenger II…….There is a reason both incarnations have seen little to no export success, namely electrical issues and excessive ware on it’s rifled barrel……also, due to the nature of it’s rifled design, it’s been severely limited and costly in the development of ammunition…….The British haven’t made a quality tank since the Centurion. The very nature of defense related “inflation” is common among all programs, for all nations, and is squared by the level of political interference involved in a given program….. -

Exactly, Canada’s defence procurement has been largely broken, outside of ~1948-1963 and several urgent sole sourced contracts under this current Government (C-17, C-130J, Chinooks new and used, MRAPs, 155mm guns and the Leo II), since we’ve had an armed forces…….Even during the Boer War, our contribution (Lord Strathcona‘s Horse) was stood up by a Baron with his own money….. -
From what I’ve read, it appears an estranged husband……..How many daily deaths in the United States are attributed to domestic disputes……I’d guess a good percent of those daily homicide figures.
