NDP Make Big Move in Latest EKOS Poll
Derek 2.0 replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No I don't know the answer. My impression of Trudeau is that he's probably a nice person, but a hapless idiot when it comes to politics, as such, the real brains behind the LPC is Butts and the old backroom Laurentian Liberals........Clearly if Soudas' telling of events is untrue, even treading is such waters is devoid of logic and they deserve the egg on their face......much like the Liberal's smear of Jack Layton's massage or Scott Reid's beer & popcorn slip regarding tax policy..... -
NDP Make Big Move in Latest EKOS Poll
Derek 2.0 replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Interesting, so it would seem Soudas is full of bologna (Unless he has further proof)..........If this is true, I wonder if Soudas did this on his own hook, or if this was sanctioned by the Trudeau Butts Liberals.... -
The Federal NDP? I've heard the Alberta NDP has sunk like a stone, with polls indicating that Wild Rose would form Government if an election was held today.......... Frankly, I'm surprised the Alberta NDP Government pulled the trigger so quickly on their "promises", in part, not waiting until after the Fall Federal election to transform Alberta into a workers paradise, so has not to damage the Federal NDP brand in the West. If, the Federal NDP is dropping now, and neither the Tories/Liberals/Bloc (or media) has even really questioned their policy platform, I'd expect that drop to hasten once most Canadians actually read and understand what the NDP wants to do.......

Because I've numerous times, and not only myself, have caught you on slip-ups in your tales, which you then quickly dance around or ignore.....in this very thread you suggested you've flown a zillion hours in an ASTAR, yet the interior noise level was that of a car without a muffler........Which is complete and utter BS......even a one-time passenger of an ASTAR would know, from your own words, that you've never been inside one, yet flown one....... Likewise your phony retelling of an old joke of Marine aviators........You stated as much in several posts, something as fact, that is completely untrue...........I'm sorry, you're full of shit, and a Walt, and I and most others know it on a great many levels
-
I did, you stated the interior of an AStar is as loud as an unmuffled car.......as I said, you're talking out of your ass, and explained why, likewise how the two Winnipeg officers were unable to hear their conversation being broadcast throughout Winnipeg, because of how quite (and insulated) the interior of the AStar family is..........
-
From your statements about interior noise, clearly you don't........The AStar, because of its internal/external noise volumes has been renowned around the world as the most quite light helicopter, everything from corporate flights to tour operators acknowledge this..........And because of the noise reduction features of this family of helicopters, the two Winnipeg officers were unable to hear their PA conversations being broadcast, from loudspeakers only several feet away from where they sat..... I read just fine, and from this ability to read your posts, know that you are full of it.
-
No, I, unlike you, know what I'm talking about. The ASTAR was the first Helicopter designed to reduce both interior and exterior noise volumes (Why I used it as an example, likewise a common design used by police forces in North America)........As I said, and unless the doors are removed, is as quite as a car and crew/passengers are able to carry out a conversation quite comfortably (without headsets).
-
You're talking out of your ass........a Kiowa/Jet Ranger is far nosier than an ASTAR (or Twinstar), inside and out, and yes, I've both flown and flown in early 80s era AStars, as well as far more Rangers/Kiowas/Long Rangers etc...... edit to add In the example from the OP, if the interior of an AStar is so loud, how would the aircrew's voices have been transmitted so clearly via the PA?

Well said, Trump is a clown, of that there is no doubt, but I think you make a very good point. Trump is talking about issues people want to address, and perhaps with his outlandish statements encompassing such topics, he gains the media spotlight (right or wrong) and sets the narrative for all others.........maybe Trump isn't such an idiot after all.....or he's suffered from a minor stroke ------- As to the claim that some from the GOP field aren't deriding Trump: Jeb Bush (His wife was born in Mexico): Marco Rubio:

Right, but I'd surmise a large seized-wing type, smaller cockpit in a light helicopter, with no organic need for announcements for passengers, as they will all typically have headsets (and are seated behind you), hence no need for a fixed PA/Amp in the cockpit architecture for the majority of helicopters......Those that do, Police/Medical flights (or Military), will use canned messages for large public events/riots, disasters etc, with the option of streaming live if so needed, for say an armed suspect on foot or conducting SAR.
-
It can, even in modern types like a 429, the Public Address & siren/with amplifier, requires the headset (of the copilot or observer) to be plugged into a separate aux jack (just for this reason)......also, in many cases, not this one clearly though, the public address is prerecorded and can be played through the PA from an MP3/Ipod.

That's odd..........First, the 2nd Marine Air Wing has been based at Cherry Point, not Lejeune, since it returned home from fighting the Japanese in the later 1940s........and second, advanced rotary flight training has been conducted in Florida and Texas since helicopters entered service in the United States Navy and Marine Corp. Third, such training, for newly commissioned Naval Aviators, has been conducted in Jet/Sea Rangers since the 1960s........and fourth, all USMC conversion training to Cobras and Huey's has been conducted at El Toro (until it closed) and Camp Pendleton, in California, since forever...........Going even further, any other purposeful auto-rotations of a Cobra would be conducted by either Navy/Marine aviators or Bell employees (my former employer) in either Texas or Arizona....... Other then that, neat story.......
