Exactly, and in the rest of Canada, our communities charge the residents money to pay for the upkeep of said systems, in turn, such things are provided to the community........native communities are free to set-up there own systems and charge their residents the cost of upkeep, the Federal Government will even give them the seed-money or provide backing to lenders, but the native communities will have to pay the upkeep.......

Right and that is why many First Nations bands have no clean drinking water, sewers, roads, functioning schools, fire departments or hospitals.........In the rest of Canada, those Canadians living in those communities with such things, pay their community a fee/tax for such things, or pay the larger town next door a fee for using their services.......if the community leaders of said town screw up such things, they get voted out in the next election....... Not so much in a native community

Because we were once apart of said nation, like we were also apart of the French empire, until the English kicked their ass........hence we speak English, and our laws and governance is modeled after the English...........None the less, the English being nice guys, let the French keep some of their stuff.....What a lovely Crown we have.

You're right, all Canadians, including natives, have a right to free drinking water across Canada, as all free drinking water is owned by the Crown, and the Crown, being somewhat kind, said all Canadians can have free water..........but, what isn't free, is the distribution and treatment facilities that make said free water safe to drink.........Cities and towns, where the economies of scales make sense, provide this delivery of free water in a safe manner to their residents for a fee, be it through a water bill or tax.............Native bands without clean drinking water don't charge their members for the delivery of said water, hence have no money to provide the free water to their people.........call me crazy, maybe native bands should charge their residents a fee

Exactly, the Liberal (maybe not Trudeau) Party understands that entering into a formal alliance with the NDP, as a junior partner, will be the end of them as a relevant political party........likewise, there are segments of the Liberal party that find the NDP's brand of fiscal Socialism to be abhorrent.....the two parties might have some common ground with various social polices, but in other keys areas are miles apart (hence why they are two different parties).
