  1. That is dependent on the GG believing said minority CPC Government, replacing its leader, then facing the House, is doing so for its own advantage, versus the advantage of good government for Canadians. And that is largely my point, in such a scenario, I feel it would very much so play out as described, if the Tories won a "healthy" plurality in the ~150+ seat range........in such a case, I would doubt very much the Liberals (if junior to the NDP's seat total) would vote against the Government (initially).
  2. It is but one plausible scenario.
  3. My post was in response to Squid’s confused statement that the political left understands the importance of military action in World affairs, well also being anti-war……. In no way is it a criticism of such military actions on the part of Canadians, as far as I know, no major political figure from the “right” has opposed said actions when started by the “left”. Instead opposing policies, namely pre-war, from the political left that directly lead to numerous Canadian military disasters and the wanton death and injuring of Canadians in uniform, as a direct result of political policies of the “left”.
  4. Cut and run? We finished our portion of the training mission, after a decade of combat operations, and rotated out and were replaced by said forces..........and no, I don't have any such pre-conceived notions, quite the opposite, the political left in Canada has gotten us into every single war or combat mission in Canadian history, absent the first Gulf War, the Libyan mission (but both the Liberals and NDP supported it) and the recent bombing campaign in Iraq/Syria......
  5. You realize most of those cited nations members are currently serving with ISAF (and now Resolute Support) in Afghanistan right? You'd have Canada return to the dirt box?
  6. Right, like in 2008/09.........
  7. What your graph doesn't indicate is that the majority of UN peacekeeping missions today, mostly in Africa, are staffed by African Union forces, with Western forces providing training and adviser roles to said forces...........A result of the failed past mission in Somalia and Rwanda, and Africans not feeling comfortable with thousands of white soldiers policing them in their own countries......Of which, the British learned the hard way in Sierra Leone over 15 years ago...
  8. Perfect, I'm sure millions, like myself, await with bated breath.
  9. You bet, and during the previous Tory deficits, the Government never promised to run on a balanced budget, well adding billions in permanent social spending..........I'll give Trudeau credit, he at least says he'll go into deficit.
  10. So it confirms the NDP hasn't figured out how they will pay for their promises.......or have they? If so, when will the NDP release their costings for their platform?
  11. Have they been costed? Why does the NDP refuse to release said costings for public consumption?
  12. Desperate? The Tories and Liberals (and MSM) have been asking for weeks how the NDP would pay for their billions in promises.....this only confirms it.....they can't.
  13. And the Tories and Liberals will gladly remind them of it...
  14. Well that, and leaked NDP documents that state they have no idea how they'll pay for their promises......
  15. Perhaps, we'll see how Mulcair reacts now that its being repeated in the MSM.
  16. Hitler comments on the campaign to date:

    1. bush_cheney2004

      bush_cheney2004

Another classic ! Damn that surplus.

  17. I think this manifesto furthers the calls by both Tories and the Liberals (hell maybe even the Greens) that NDP is nothing but a grouping of rent-seeker socialists.........it just ended a decades work of both Layton and Mulcair.
  18. No, it can, it just doesn't go into general revenue.......The Ontario Liberal plan was to use it for investments in infrastructure programs "around the world", by that I assume outside of Toronto....... Can I access said funds before retirement or choose not to contribute?
  19. Then why isn't Mulcair campaigning on said manifesto, and why, under Layton, did the NDP attempt to shift to the center leaving kooks to the fringes? You call me hyper-partisan, but don't realize that said manifesto just torpedoed the NDP campaign among moderates, orange liberals (orange Tories?) and the undecideds, anyone in a resources community, many trade unions that work in the energy sector etc........ Adrian Dix gave Clark a majority when he suggested he halt two pipeline projects here in BC.........this manifesto has put the NDP back into third place......
  20. Well that's it for them among swing voters...........funny that it came out a day before the debates, I wonder if it was the Liberals or the Tories that sent to media.......some highlights: My God (and I'm not religious), I thought they drummed out most of the radicals under Layton..........this is a clear example of how a political party snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.......
  21. To pay for their promises?
  22. I can access my RRSP, likewise control the level of contribution.
  23. Honestly, its disjointed, too long, lacks meaning to the majority that don't follow politics and its production value appears of something cobbled together by a couple of community collage video arts program drop-outs.......who's add is it? Greens or Commies? (I assume the Liberals and NDP can afford better)
