When one starts wrapping oneself in tin-foil, they then cut the knees off any valid point they were trying to discuss.

Is that confirmed? I have't watched tonight's debate yet (recorded it), partially because I find May so bloody shrill and grating........I might just watch for Duceppe though, though I disagree with his politics, I think he's both a good debater and an interesting politician.

Without a doubt, it comes down to market capitalism........I've got the Banks performance package in my truck, that has increased HP and fuel mileage.... if there is a big enough market, you'll see companies like Banks Power, Xtreme Diesel and Bully Dog etc start putting out fixes for the Kraut cans, that would probably even boost performance over what VW has said they are suppose to have....or not have.

Interesting, have their been any public BC only polls lately? I have several family members involved with the Greens here on Vancouver Island, and they claim its a three-way Tory/NDP/Green race (Vancouver Island only).

Maybe (don't they still have a comfortable lead though?), and the Tories are gaining support in Ontario and British Columbia. I expect, like this year's British election, another key factor will be both a Liberal and NDP implosion.......As much as many people dislike Harper, there are many soft Liberal and NDP supporters that dislike each other, which could translate into soft NDP supporters in Quebec returning to the Bloc and in BC/The West, similar NDP supporters returning to the Tories (and even the Greens). With the Liberals, in Ontario, soft supporters that fear the NDP going back to the Tories.......... As is often said, there was ~60% of Canadians that didn't support the Tories in the last election, but also ~70% and nearly 80% of Canadians that didn't support the NDP and Liberals..........And now Canadians are faced with a Government of two parties, that a near equal percentage don't support......Both the Liberals and NDP's hatred of Harper and lust for power will be their undoing.

Indeed, likewise the FORUM poll earlier this week.........I'd expect further Tory gains in the polls next week, not only with tonight's debate results, but the Labour Party Liberal party and Scottish National Party's NDP's promises to not support a Tory minority Government, , regardless of size, ipso facto, given voters a choice of either Tory Majority or a Labour Liberal minority supported by the SNP .NDP........Now PM Cameron Harper only has to campaign against one "divided party".......... Economic news that refutes the Opposition's slogans doesn't hurt either......

Oh, so you're now informed on the current material condition of the Coast Guard fleet..........I don't suppose you could share how you've come across such insight.............Call me ignorant, but I'd assume by the little amount of actual sea time a Coast Guard vessel actually sees a year, compared to the navy or commercial shipping, would equate to a longer lifespan.....

It's a good thing then the Government sought an option on a third vessel from SEASPAN, likewise is procuring an interim option on an additional vessel from Davie, in the event that they deem a third vessel as a requirement. Your confidence maters little, and is devoid of the contractual reality to date. Likewise, other unrelated programs mater little, for if they did, I could state (unfounded like you) that we will actually get extra vessels, since we ended up with an additional Globemaster.........or better yet, because SEASPAN has been awarded additional contracts to build medium endurance utility vessels and offshore patrol vessels for the Coast Guard....

No, its an incentive based contract for six ships, the RCN expects six ships (as cited), if you have information to suggest that we will only get 5 ships, by all means, present it.........then we can forward it to the DND, so they can correct their program information from their website. And no, we didn't lose out on one AOR, per our contract with SEASPAN, we have an option for a third vessel, that the Government can exercise if it deems it a requirement, or keep the interim type from Davie or just run the two Queenston class vessels as is...... My question to you, since you won't be able to support your above statements, is why do you feel we need additional AORs, if we're only actually purchasing 5 AOPS and 8 CSC? Clearly its apart of the force structure envisioned by the Harper Government, in its drive to destroy the RCN.......

No, it signed an incentive based contract for 6, if the program experiences delays or goes over budget, then only 5 will be built, and with that, so to goes Irving's profit..............Now if you have any information to suggest that 6 won't be built, by all means, present it, if not, I expect a retraction of your claim that I'm the one being dishonest.
