What do you mean, "When he started moving towards closer ties"? Are you implying he changed direction after getting elected? Yanukovych's pro-Russian stance was very evident during his election campaign. He was elected because the majority in the population supported strengthening economic ties with Russia. It's not only the CIA, it's the millions of dollars.

Antisemitism on the Left
OftenWrong replied to Mako's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Welcome to the club of lost political souls, bub. We've been on this island for a while now. It's not that we left our party, it's that our party left us. .... Pleased to meet you. I am a liberal. -
Antisemitism on the Left

You are a riot, herbie. I did not decide anything. I believe in live and let live. Or, die. It's just the woke gonna come for ya. Especially since you don't like it. You know they got a name for people like you? -
If I was Ukrainian I would take corruption and a bottle of beer over western puritanism, and thermonuclear war. Thanks

This is controversial and it's probably too early to say why that is. The so-called "long covid" symptoms are also similar to those of a vaccine injury. However, good luck differentiating between the two in this politically charged environment. That's why I say it's too soon to believe the long covid. Need to ddo some studies. My guess, sounds like bulls shyte to me. I never heard of another respiratory virus having such effects. Coronavirus is not new either.

Yanukovych won the election. It was considered fair and democratic by outside observers. Thereafter, his party won the parliament by a landslide. That means a majority of Ukrainians would have supported Yanukovych. Yanukovych had reasons for not accepting the EU's proposal. What happened next was a systematic attack to remove him from power using protesters funded by the US National Democratic Institute. Then the whole house of cards came tumbling down. That does not absolve anybody (Putin) for invading or taking military action. But when you pull the pin on a grenade, honey baby, you pretty much can predict what's gonna happen next.

It's just your opinion, which you're entitled to. The subject is, Is hockey a Gladiator Sport and I say no, not always. That's just a brand of hockey made to appeal to the entertainment crowd. I gave examples of the other kinds of hockey, so you are not wrong but the question is which hockey is the real hockey, the grass roots played by ordinary people who go to work or the one played by professional multi millionaires. My point is to show that the wokesters who now are bent on attacking hockey culture dis not care about women's hockey, for exactly the reason that it wasn't gladiator enough. Just their opinion too I guess.

Russia is not attacking a NATO member. None of these points you've raised matter in context of what I said. This is conjecture. What's a fact is that not all Ukrainians are on board with the perpetual and total war being urged on by USA and the EU, as well as Canada. None of them have the guts to say, how about some peace. Ironically, now only the Chinese are making sense. And I'll tell you why, because the USA and EU want this war, to create a quagmire. They created the crisis in Ukraine by assisting the movement to have the democratically elected president removed. In favour of their boy...

You are talking about watching hockey on TV. That's not what I am talking about. Hockey is a sport played in every town in Canada, by people of all ages. They do not body slam one another into the boards routinely, nor drop the gloves and have a go at it. That's for the TV, the WWE of hockey world. For the simpletards who like to see people hurt one another. Entertainment. So either you're a post-neo liberal urbanite who grew up in his bedroom on a kb, or just, American.

To you they are. And that's fine. I'm not going to argue your interpretation, as we're both just ordinary laymen. Or is that, laypersons Since the majority of those who died were generally the elderly, it's the elderly who were saved by the vaccine. And that makes good sense, even if there is a risk of vaccine injury such as sterility. Not too many 90 year olds are gonna have kids anyway. There's a clear argument of risk vs. benefit. But the mandates are the problematic issue. Especially for the young, where the risk of covid drops to very low. We heard "The young are vectors for Covid." Well maybe that's good. Maybe that's what they're supposed to be, when they're young. They need exposure to all sorts of things that won't kill them. But makes them stronger...

They are not all speaking with the same voice. There are some who are desperately seeking a cease fire and peace deal, which includes compromise on both sides. They want the war to end quickly. Not as Joe Biden said, in a rather prophetic doomsday statement, "for as long as it takes..." https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/02/23/biden-ukraine-russia-war-attrition/
-
Blunt, eh? Sounds pretty good.
-
Exactly. They misunderstand the issue which is that of mandates. You are free to inject any potion into yourself that you want. As for me, it's increased my level of distrust for the government. And academia as well, when so many jumped on the government's overhyped false narrative. At the onset we heard the truth, masks were not recommended. A few weeks later the fear factory got in gear. Then the lunacy really began. Shades of nazi Germany. Wrong-thinking shall be punished. Well look at you people now.

You Brits have a weird way of expressing yourselves. Now I can't unsee this.

Hopefully it's not that dreaded "Civet" coffee that came out of a cat's ass.

Depends where you go. No doubt in the big cities they're well trained. Out here in hicksville the service can be rather shabby. But it's ok by us. The job- sucks

Antisemitism on the Left
OftenWrong replied to Mako's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I'm sure woke has a broad definition, if I may use that term. I do like those. It certainly looks to me like the left has given these people a megaphone, and a soapbox to stand on. Mr. Trudeau has the time to appear on a tranny game show, but drags his feet on issues that are significant to many Canadians. -
On the contrary, fella. I have reduced you to a simpering ninny who cannot post on topic, and done so using a mere few words. That's what I call economy... Do I like it? yes
-
You poor man
-
Whatever your problem is, obviously you're unwell.

Even if all that were true, and it's highly questionable, the issue is about forced vaccination under these specific circumstances. Compounded by the fact this is such a new and controversial product versus vaccines in use for decades, whose safety is well established. I read that the number of vaccine injury reports already exceeds the safety protocol in VAERS, which is a very low number of cases allowed before the product is pulled. Here's an example of how few cases it takes. But since an emergency was declared, politicians legislated themselves the power to overrule it.

Antisemitism on the Left
OftenWrong replied to Mako's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
"The old left, which has fought many successful battles for justice for all, especially for economic fairness, is having trouble understanding an emerging movement that also thinks of itself as left-wing." Right, so disavow them, disavow. No sorry, you don't get to pick and choose. The left is a spectrum, this is the extreme part of it. In other words, this is where it goes. Own what you are. -

Are you implying that only women can have babies? Such old-world, out of date thinking.
