  1. Good thing we're fighting them over there, so we don't need to fight them here, hey? Thanks to GWB for taking the initiative.
  2. That's ok Komrad, you are free to side with Putin or Fidel or Raul, or whomever it is you actually do admire. Just don't go the way of Jihadi Jones.
  3. It seems you fail to recognize who your real enemies are, and would rather side with the terrorists.
  4. Sure it does, because he knows what he`s talking about.
  5. I read the article this morning, and if you read the quote, it's obvious they could not go there because there is too much ice. You have the link, and the quote. The rest is up to you, I can help no further.
  6. You ain't seen nothing yet, booby.
  7. Sorry to hear that. Last time you said it was 8,000 km. I'll just assume you misspoke. Anyway evidence shows the ice is coming back, both arctic and antarctic. It has something to do with cooler summers, and wasn't covered in the computer model. It seems there is a self-regulating process taking place. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-33594654 Get some sleep.
  8. Well maybe you can get a job on one of those ships. Getting out of mom's basement for a few months might be good, I'm sure she'd appreciate it. Watch out for them icebergs, they're on the rise!
  9. Try again... it was because of too much ice. “Considering the severe ice conditions and the increasing demand for Search And Rescue operations (SAR) and ice escort, we decided to cancel the BaySys mission. A second week of delay meant our research objectives just could not be safely achieved – the challenge for us all was that the marine ice hazards were exceedingly difficult for the maritime industry, the CCG, and science,” says Dr. David Barber, Expedition Chief Scientist and BaySys Scientific Lead.
  10. Some need to understand that the world is a terribly violent place, and no one out there is going to give you hugs. Quite the contrary. The barbarians are always at the door, and we need to use force beat them back. Because that is the only message they can understand. They're only crying now because they can't commit their jihad.
  11. There's a price to pay for being the world police, which USA has done up till now. They have born the brunt of it, making the world safe for us. Over the years they've paid the price, in both blood and treasure. Just like with the police, you have a group of guys doing a tough job in a hostile environment, surrounded by violent types on all sides. Their job is not easy, and there will always be those who criticize them, call them evil, because they didn't get a big enough slice of the pie for themselves.
  12. No problem, as long as you go to church on Sundays.
  13. Yep, I'd be lighting my stogey with $100 bills, while watching them move you into the poor house.
  14. No problem. USA bombed the hell out of Hitler and the Nazis as well. You are free to stick with your buddies Stalin and Khomeini, see how far that gets you.
  15. Possible scenarios of intense neutrino and/or gamma ray fluxes due to various supernova and stellar disturbances (possibly during Noah’s Flood) may have contributed to the appearance of age when radioactive substances are examined by causing substantial radioactive decay in a very short time period, rather than over long periods of time at currently observable rates. This is false, since radioactive decay is a process in which an excited nucleus loses energy. Adding additional intense ionizing radiation to the nucleus only makes it go the other way, In other words it becomes more radioactive. There is no observable/verifiable mechanism for accelerating the process of radioactive decay. Even if it did have an effect at very high energies, like from a supernova directed at the Earth as your article suggest, this would kill all life on Earth. DNA is destroyed by ionizing rays. Noah would not have made it.
  16. Who is worse, the one who takes a stand based on a categorical imperative (like Hitler, and in a way yourself) or the one who allows or tolerates a moderate amount of bad things to happen, for the sake of lesser evil.
  17. "We fought the enemy, and the enemy was in us." There is no evil outside of human beings.
  18. Using religion to manipulate the great unwashed as as old as history itself.
  19. Only if taken literally. Christianity's influence on modern culture and law is undeniable.
  20. News reporters formerly believed in journalistic accountability, you didn't post a story based on pure hearsay from anonymous sources. To be fair a story should give complete information, not soundbites or statements given without full context. That is media manipulation. It's long been known that the media is a powerful propaganda tool. What's happened incrementally is that information became a valuable commodity. There's big money in it. However we've now reached the point where the lines between news and entertainment are blurred. Again I am only discussing political news. Call me cynical if you wish, but I never trust what the leader says, cause when the leader speaks, the leader lies.
  21. Got my mutual fund statement the other day. Wow, it's made a lot of money so far in 2017! Thanks to Trump
  22. The topic here is about political news, not everyday events. The Guardian etc., they're no better. Today the Guardian put out a story that Trump has postponed his UK visit. It has already been debunked by both US and UK administrations. They're all just mouthpieces that push out news from the same sources. They don't necessarily even know if what they're reporting is true, but it's being fed on "the wire". The question is who is feeding the wire. It costs money to push stories to the top of the heap, if you want to put out fake news. Somebody is willing to pay for the air time. Then the media whores all jump on board.
  23. You work at Hortons de Tim?
  24. Fine. If the world was created in 6 days as you believe, you should also be aware that the bible says that a day for god is like 1000 years for a man. So you have a conflict in taking it literally.
  25. Nonsense. I would love to participate in science-based discussion threads here, if there were any. But, there's not...
