Multiculturalism failed because it is an inherently flawed idea. Like Marxism, it takes a naive view of human nature. Rather than share in and celebrate diversity, people prefer to live in isolated cultural groups with minimal interaction. In Canada it was wrongly implemented, because there is not a strong enough mainstream culture to serve as common ground. -

Racial intolerance among all groups has increased in the big urban areas, a failure of multiculturalism. -
I wouldn't say that anti-feminism was prevalent a decade or so ago. Feminism began to take hold in the 1970's but became increasing more mainstream by the 1980's. That is my subjective opinion because I lived through it, and it is supported by this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminism#Mid-twentieth_century So I doubt that any men who are here are that archaic as to be anti-feminist. It's undeniable that the middle-eastern is culturally misogynist, compared to the west.

Not sure where you people live but there is still plenty of racism towards black in Canada, mainly in rural areas and small towns, but not exclusively by any means. -
What exactly would be wrong with designer babies?

Nature is performing this experiment all around us all the time, on a local tiny scale. The very principle of evolution through natural selection is based on random mutation. Nature rolls the dice. If the individual is born with a negative defect, they lose. If positive they could win, if it gives their offspring an advantage. It would be quite vain to presume that we know what is best for our future in terms of designing "better" human beings. Why should everyone be physically strong or tall, blonde, blue-eyed? What if there was some situation where we needed a small person. Tall people take up more space and need more food, and the world is getting over-crowded. But seriously, there is evidence that a person who was otherwise considered defective in many ways became the one who provided the path forward for all of humanity, and their defect played a role in giving them this advantage. Say the little freckle-faced kid who was weak and small, and hated by others became an introvert, in their isolation pondered philosophically on many things relating to the human condition and wrote important works of philosophy or science. -

It's not the far-right we should want, nor the far-left for that matter. One has to appreciate the need for reasonable balance, something we've lost sight of these days it seems. Without it you get a buildup of resentment, pressure leading to explosive counter-reaction. Both sides of the political spectrum are guilty of taking the debate to extremes. -

That just depends on how fed up people are with the current direction. Trump was a surprise, so was Brexit, both of those were emotional reactions. Trump is like a bull in a china shop, his every utterance smashing the boundaries of political correctness. It shocks some people, but inspires others. -
I think drawing conclusions from your data would be biased, since it only considers "successful" terrorist operations. It does not address the number of attempts that have been thwarted, thanks to intense surveillance. There must be good reason for authorities to be watching this closely, eh? Otherwise if it was all as nice as you seem to indicate, no reason to monitor their activities. Hint: the authorities know something you apparently don't know, even if they don't say it publicly. Second, there is a difference between the action of random lone wolves or crackpots who aren't linked with any common ideology, and a cult that calls on its members to perform jihad around the world. Third is their book, which advocates killing jews in some verses and these verses are commonly preached in their mosques, with full attendance of "ordinary" muslims who have no problem hearing it at all.

It could be reckless, since half the time these propeller-heads don't really know what their doing. It's not necessarily the short term result that matters. -
That's almost 25 years from now. That gives much more time to develop the technology and establish an industry before mandating the switch over. Lots of time to repeal or extend the date if it is not realistically achievable.

It can become more than that, if it sets a trend that other nations follow. -

You might be right about him letting it die, since no real order has yet been given. Time will tell. About the courts, I'm not 100% sure but the military has its own separate courts. I am aware that in Canada the DND is somewhat autonomous from the same government oversight that the rest of the country comes under. -

You wonder a lot of things, little buddy. -
You sure do hate the USA, hot enough, that's abundantly clear. When will you start your jihad?

Seems reasonable. But regarding the term "homosexual", I never considered it to be derogatory. Some people despise "gays", and so regardless of the word they use, the label is derogatory. That might be what Hal 9000 meant when he said the link is gay, in an effort to demonstrate that use of the word gay is no less derogatory but depends on who is saying it to whom, and why. -
