As I have stayed in the past, Canadians don't give two f**** about what happens in the north or anywhere else.

Well, thank goodness for that. I don't need to hide under my bed when those Syrian women refugees come to Canada.

Which is why I am puzzled by her responses. Kimmy insists she is surrounded by multi cultural ethnicities but they seem to be offended by refuge gees. I'm just trying to set the record straight. For the most part, multi cultural communities welcome refugees so therein lies my confusion.

This whole thread is nothing but Canadian folks lashing out to folks they are scared of. I have a suggestion to get past this. Volunteer with a refugee family.

What on earth is going to happen to those babies born from white men establishing relationships with those Syrian female refugees. I don't suppose they will grow up to be meaningful citizens of Canada?

I don't have a problem with Richmond, Surrey or any other community that is being dragged through the mud. I love shopping in Asian malls, eating at Asian restaurants and yes we even sleep with non white men.

Speaking as a bottom of the barrel poster, you are seriously backpedalling. And you don't even recognize it. If you live in a small community in the interior, we can bet you do not have a high percentage of other ethnicities as you like to portray, especially in the numbers you relay to us. If this were true, your community would welcome refugees, which you seem to imply they don't. So which is it? Do you live in a vanilla community or not?

And why don't we see this played out with Canadians fighting for human rights of native Canadians? Why do so many reservations continually fight for safe drinking water, education, heated homes, healthcare etc. All of a sudden it appears when we are trying to help refugees.

Kimmy, we are not dealing with large scale immigration of refugees. We could easily handle thousands more and I am disappointed that we are not.

I try to be non partisan as much as I can on this site because I do believe it moves conversations forward at a much more productive pace. Although I do find that it is very difficult to do. I am in agreement that we should be leaving political ideologies out of the conversation with refugees and instead focus on human values with the emphasis on equality for everyone regardless of their gender, religion, sexual identity etc

I don't understand why you would want to argue this statement. It's quite simply a headline to grab the interest of viewers and readers.

We do the same now with Canadian men who beat their wives. Part of their sentencing is attending educational courses. And these men are born here!

I would love to see him on CBC just to see him get eaten alive. Now that would not be boring!
