  1. Any woman in BC can visit an abortion clinic in Vancouver and get an abortion, no questions asked (within a reasonable # of weeks). Why would we want to change that? Let's not fix something that isn't broke. There is no means testing and there shouldn't be.
  2. What happened to your 'babe' comment? How do you really feel about female contributions to Canada?
  3. You have no idea what my newsletter was about. It had nothing to do with the environment. It had to do with competitive racing (running).
  4. As I have said, you assume too much about me and provide nothing to backup your claims.
  5. I used to have a newsletter that had members from Tuvalu and ever since then I have followed this small South Pacific Island and it breaks my heart what they are enduring.
  6. I am so disturbed by this latest story. What is going on? I would love to hear feedback on this. I am certainly not an expert on this but I would like to hear from others that are more aware. http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/11/middleeast/afghanistan-helmand-taliban-soldiers/index.html
  7. It's from 2005 and I can't read it unless I buy it.
  8. Right. It's your personal experience. Let's put that above research. I get it now.
  9. http://kilobycenter.com/the-labels-addict-and-alcoholic/
  10. Do you have a cite for this?
  11. Agree. I'm not a big fan of labels and they do nothing to improve one's life.
  12. You are assuming a heck of a lot about me, much of which I think is irrelevant and wrong. I have no desire to engage in your ludicrous beliefs about me. As far as your anecdotal statements, that's all they are. Have you watched the documentary?
  13. While it's not my thesis, I do agree with most of it and I didn't think it was necessary to quote every item in the article. I wasn't omitting anything. AA does not work for everyone and surely you must agree with that. As far as accepting a label 'Addict', that's ridiculous. The only thing they need to accept is that they have a problem and they need help, period!
  14. I can't read it. I have to buy it and it's from 2005. Can you provide another cite?
  15. You imagine? A broad, generalized definition.
  16. What do you think of the article? Can you provide your take on it?
  17. Jaycee, is this case related to the Island Nations planning on suing the fossil fuel companies as well? http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/06/10/3667580/south-pacific-climate-change-lawsuit/ Are they joining together?
  18. Define enviro. It is probably your co-worker, your neighbour, your butcher, your friends. What are the defining characteristics?
  19. I agree with everything you say except this last one. There are many thoughts on whether addiction is a disease or not. Here are two comments from a neuroscientist and former addict and a physician and addiction reseacher: Lewis goes on to say: Heilig says: Whatever label we want to assign to the addiction, they are in agreement that: https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/is-addiction-a-disease-yes-and-no/
