Honour killing is domestic violence. Call it what it is. It's a disservice to the victims when you try and justify it.

I started working in the technology industry In the 80's. I remember when email was first introduced. I hated the way it replaced ad hoc meetings around someone's workspace. No longer were ideas shared and flushed out. Except in some sort of a structured format. I think that many creative solutions were lost in that period. Now it seems to have come full circle with many companies forbidding the use of emails and instead replacing with a more community focused intranet. But still, ad hoc impromptu meetings are continuing to be a thing of the past which I think are missed opportunities for grand ideas.

Betsy, have a read through this article. It lists women who have been murdered in Canada in 2015. If you look at the names, you can see that hardly any at all have names of women 'imported' from Muslim countries. Most of the domestic killing of women in Canada are perpetrated by white men and aboriginal men. Once someone has asked themselves your questions mentioned above, I would hope they go and do some research and find out why she was selected. This woman grew up in a black segregated part of NS. She had to obtain her education abroad because she was black and when she returned, she built a successful business, Beauty line products for black women and a school for black women. When asked to move in the theatre because of her skin colour, she resisted. She probably got sick and tired of being told where to live, where to go to school and where to watch theatre and stood up for herself. This incident caused outrage in NS against the segregation and resulted in changes in the legislature, and a holiday was even named after. She told her sister once that all she wanted was to get an education like any other white person and teach other black women to run a business. As far as it being an insult to anyone who values traditions and the history of Canada, let's remember some of Canada's nasty past history, let's hope those actions weren't valued: The internment of Japanese, Ukranian and Italian Canadians during World War I and II, turning away boats of Jewish and Punjabi refugees and our history of slavery.

Why would the mods delete our posts when we try to draw attention to the trolling posts. At the very least we should come to a consensus about trolled posts but we can't because our posts are Deleted!

At least you agree that 'trolls' are being responded to. What exactly is being dished out if our posts are repeatedly deleted. And I am not the only one whose posts are being deleted by trying to draw attention to trolls.

Why would anyone want to contribute to a post knowing it will be ridiculed by a US poster. This is his MO for stifling conversation. I have never seen anything like it and am astonished that he gets away with it.

BC is incessant in his trolling of the US politics threads by continuously belittling and trying to stifle responses from Non US posters. It's immature and nauseating to read his troll posts over and over again without providing any kind of substance. Instead our posts get deleted trying to draw attention to it because if we report it, we have no idea on the outcome. We like to call it out in the thread to try and determine if it's an issue with other posters but instead our feedback to the thread is obliterated as if we don't even exist, as if we never responded to the thread. When our posts are deleted, it diminishes our value to this forum. You may think you are adding valuing by deleting them but instead you are pissing a lot of people off that can't be bothered reporting. Reporting doesn't give us feedback a lot of posters have left because of the trolling and we are left with alt right posters i suppose that's why MH became involved again We have lost intelligent posts I thank you MH for becoming involved again
