  1. That's a very good point. The victim's family lawyer said the other night in an interview, that the cop was not being asked half the questions the dead victim was being accused of. Funny that.
  2. I agree. I think we should insist on it.
  3. Many people are recorded all day long in their place of employment and they don't even realize it!
  4. You either get paranoid and shrink from situations or you become quite passive. In any event, mj in the bloodstream is a non-issue.
  5. hehe, someone here knows what you are talking about! I am sure of it!!
  6. And why couldn't it have been live streamed? Money, I suppose.
  7. Oh, that makes sense, unless it was live streamed!
  8. Very sad indeed. What a tragic way to die. I like the idea of modifying the plastic straps to breakdown. We should be doing these for all plastic, including the pop can and beer can straps. Those are quite popular with boaters as well.
  9. Here is an article on it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/18/michael-brown-marijuana-toxicology_n_5688788.html
  10. And cockpits! Imagine if the Flight MH370 had one.
  11. If you don't want to run for political office, you should provide some suggestions to improve the system. How do you propose we 'start over'?
  12. I am pretty sure I saw it somewhere. I will look for it.
  13. Then run for political office! I'll vote for you! If I lived on the island that is.
  14. To just clarify my position. I can understand when a thread isn't active that someone may want to post a status update, but clearly when there is a 'very' active thread, these updates should be merged into the thread.
  15. whoops, I wasn't finished... the previous post said Brown was hopped out on drugs. A bit of an exaggeration.
  16. I actually did hear something today about them finding marijuana in his system but I can't recall where or if it was even confirmed but I am guessing this particular poster was talking mj when he said brown
  17. When a status update is posted that is related to a very active thread, I would like to see it merged into the thread. Who wants to post in several different places that relate to the same issue. It seems to degrade the quality of this forum. Am I wrong with my thoughts on this? If someone can tell me the advantages of doing this, then please do!
  18. hehe. However, I like the sounds of millions of dollars of taxes being put into the coffers of the govt instead of the drug dealers. We need to finance our infrastructure, education system and especially the health care system!
  19. Oh, I missed that! Sorry. It takes a lot of energy to read through all the posts! Still, everyone can see through their ridiculous back peddling.
  20. Crappy governance led to the Emerald Mines tail ponds spill here in BC and who knows what will happen if these pipelines get built. I heard an interview this morning on cbc radio about the lack of scientists/environmentalists overseeing inspections, regulations etc. I guess we deserve what we get. We all have a vote.
  21. Well, well, looks like Harper and company are getting worried about Trudeau's stance on marijuana. Mackay is now suggesting that more lenient marijuana laws are still on the table and it would happen sooner rather than later.
  22. Well BC, hope you are glad that this poster agrees with you. If I were you, I'd want to keep an arms lengths from this response. Brown had marijuana in his system. The man who performed the autopsy said the marijuana would have no consideration on Brown's actions. In fact, marijuana tends to make someone quite laid back and not violent at all. I'm not sure why you would call this guy a moron and ridicule the fact he was accepted into college. That was completely uncalled for and I am quite sure you are posting your comment to get a rise out of posters here. Michael Brown graduated from high school and applied to and was accepted into college like many other millions of teenagers and was pursuing his passion for music. And like him, many other teenagers get into trouble with petty theft, possession of marijuana and other misdemeanor incidents. No teenager deserves to be gunned down and have their life cut short because of a minor petty theft of $50 worth of cigars.
