One of the points in the OP was Trudeau's steps moving forward. I asked about his phone call to Oboma to discontinue ISIS bombing, now that there seems to be a real, credible threat of ISIS bombing international flights, so I think this is in line with the OP. Unless the OP should be further refined.

ISIS is not a pimple. They are a very real danger to international travel, as they seem to have discovered a way to infiltrate international flights. Do you have a resolution to stop them from blowing flights out of the sky?

Smallc doesn't like to be concerned with facts surrounding issues. His typical response is a one liner without explanation.

We know that U.S. Intel has discovered chatter that assumes it's ISIS. But yes, it's yet to be confirmed. The lax in security reveals that airports all over the world are vulnerable and there are many reports to suggest this but it hasn't been acted upon until now.

But guys, does it really matter what has happened. The point is, 'How do we move forward'?

Aviation security world wide has been compromised. Let's do something about it. Do you want your family vulnerable to terrorist attacks?

Well, I have heard that we need hundreds of thousands of troops on the ground to defeat isil. Why not? Let's do it once and for all.

I understand what everyone is saying on this topic but really do we not have a responsibility to fight terrorism when they are blowing international flights out of the sky? What are your suggestions RM? I certainly don't have any but we can't withdraw our combative support can we?

Governments generally don't bail out high tech companies. Take Nortel and Blackberry for two examples and these companies employed thousands of people. I'm glad they didn't, but don't assume the govt makes the same decision, regardless of the colour of their brand. For some reason, high tech companies are ignored in these bailouts.

The Op was pretty vague. It asked about Trudeau's future moves. So discussing policies etc is not thread drift as you seem to be insinuating.

U.S. Intel suggests ISIS. And any Canadian could have been on that plane.

I think the fight has become ours due to the terrorist attack on the Russian flight full of families.

Don't we have an obligation to do more than that when fighting terrorists?

Now that US Intel suggests that a bomb was present on the Russian flight, does anyone think Trudeau will give Obama another phone call and say 'Never mind, I changed my mind' about bombing ISIS"?
