Ever heard of the Cultural revolution? The Killing Fields? Rwanda?

All groups can be and are cruel and exclusionary to other groups. When we discuss our country, though, we talk about our problems and issues, and hopefully we prioritize. 'Multiculturalism' is a blanket approach to cultures getting along, and 'racism' in Canada is predominantly a problem with the entrenched culture not letting others in. We can have academic discussions as to whether Indian Canadians/First Nations/Muslims have prejudices against each other but it's exactly that: an academic discussion. Online discussion today shows us that many of us are still living in the past with regards to our attitudes and knowledge.

Quebec is the cancerous big toe on the foot of Canada. Cut that toe off, and the rest of foot becomes healthy and active. Canada could run without Quebec. Instead we cripple along with our bulbous, self important, cancerous toe. Realistically, Quebec contributes nothing to the welfare/well being of Canada. Endless bitching, endless hand-outs, endless gasbag threats of leaving, endless . . . . .

And yet Canada is better managed and more progressive. You only respect military might. Canada cannot compete militarily with the superpowers, nor should it try. You haven’t made a case to explain how Canadian society is worse than American society.
