Today, the British paper the Independant, got their hands on Bush and Cheney plans to keep Iraq under US ruler forever! Iraq does not like this plan and is trying to fight it. You can read about over on www.bourque.org. Under the accord, US soldiers and contractors would not be under Iraq law, and Bush and Cheney are pushing for this to be signed by the end of the month so they can declare victory and help out McCain. So if military families thought they were going to come home, under McCain they won`t be.

If this is true, it would mean that Bush and Cheney want to turn Iraq into another Puerto Rico.

Seriously, there are not many neutral voices in the media these days, but The Independent remains a shining beacon of truth. You sure as hell wouldn't have heard this first on Fox.

Nice find, Topaz!

So you are saying that the American media were scooped by an even farther left British publication? Or is The Independent just printing more of the usual left wing conspiracy dribble. It's hard to tell.

Topaz, read this carefully. You really need to learn how to provide fricking links to your stories. Yes, I know you typed the address to a place called bourque, and for you this is actually an improvement. But it's not the source of the story, and links are really not that hard to do.

I was able to find the story by going to The Independent web site. Need help? Google "The Independent".

If you were an Arab who wanted to get the word out, would you go to CNN, or would you go to the guys who sponsored Robert Fisk in Lebanon? Get a clue.

DUH! That's why I told you about our big-ass honking fortress embassy that cost $600 million. For the umpteenth time...the USA has been in Germany, Japan, and Korea for over 50 years.

See Topaz, Hisself has thoughtfully illustrated how easy it is to find the subject matter on which you started this thread. Simply google the link you need, then copy and paste the link address and presto, you've got yourself a thread starter.

Not too much of a 'secret'... its been discussed in Congress, and debates on the security agreement have apparently been broadcast on C-SPAN.

On the BBC, on Hard talk, they interviewed the oil minister of Iraq and he said that yes they are in talks with the US and they do have differences of opinions as far as the US military within Iraq and Iraq will never surrender its sovereignty. He also said the oil in Iraq belongs to the people of Iraq they will do with it as Iraq wishes to do.

Yes, but, GW Bush, invader, is leaving and I don't think either Obama or McCain will do the same and they both know the citizens of US is getting tired of war and the 9 TRILLION debt doesn't help!

That is probably wishful thinking...the US House just approved an additional $162,000,000,000 just for operations in Iraq well into next year, assuring that the next president need not be in any hurry to abandon the "invasion".

Even Obama's foreign policy dream team includes the same Washington stiffs who gave us previous invasions, bombings, attacks, sanctions, and "war crimes".

I mean after all, Senator Obama is still an American, right?

I sure as hell won't be surprised when the next 9/11 happens. American arrogance demonstrated by BC and the like are one of the reasons why this 9/11 happened.

Arrogant?....absolutely! Hell, the nation was founded by booting your throne in the ass.

You say it like it's a bad thing.
