sharkman Posted May 15, 2007 Author Report Posted May 15, 2007 And Harper looks a lot better than Dion does. Maybe he should get his hair dyed. And lose the glasses. In this TV age, image can give an advantage on voting day. Quote

In this TV age, image can give an advantage on voting day. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't base my vote on who is the best looking. Quote Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable. - Jeffrey Sachs (from his book "The End of Poverty")

Many do base their decisions on such shallow things, and politicians know this well even if you don't. I think the goal for Dion should be to not be the dorkiest looking guy in the room. Quote

Shakeyhands Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I wonder who would be wearing more make up, May or Harper? Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Michael Bluth Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 I wonder who would be wearing more make up, May or Harper? Don't know if I've ever seen May wear makeup. So I guess Harper would win on that count! Quote No one has ever defeated the Liberals with a divided conservative family. - Hon. Jim Prentice
runningdog Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 They could give Dyawn a third head and he still would not look as daft as Steve. Not to comment on another guys appearance, but Steve looks like the guy that was always the last kid to get picked for a ball hockey game. Mr. Plastic. Quote
sharkman Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 So anyway, I wonder if Dion's makeover is helping or hurting. If you believe in polls, it's huring, both Decima Research and Strategic Council polls have the Liberals now trailing. I guess people can see through posturing after all. Quote

If you believe in polls, it's huring, both Decima Research and Strategic Council polls have the Liberals now trailing. I guess people can see through posturing after all. Actually Decima showed no change and Strategic showed the Liberals up. Tories are now tied in most polls with Liberals. Quote

If you believe in polls, it's huring, both Decima Research and Strategic Council polls have the Liberals now trailing. I guess people can see through posturing after all. Dion hasn't made progress at all. The slight bump in the polls they have received is in no proportion to the boost in support they would have received with a strong leader. If they can't take advantage of the environment and Afghanistan there appears to be no way they can sustain a lead. sharkman Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Posted May 25, 2007 You completely ignore the gains that the CPC has made, while the Libs tread water. I hope all liberal supporters do the same. Quote

Michael Bluth Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 You mean the stats that say statistical tie? I am looking at them right now. Do you understand that the ongoing trend of Conservative leads lowers the margin of error, and thus the misleading statistical tie. Here's a lesson for you. The 3 point lead the Conservatives have in the Strategic Counsel poll means the CPC is equally likely to be SIX POINTS up on the Liberals as they are to have exactly the same level of support. Here's the numbers I was referring too with Decima and Strategic council. You mean the stats that say statistical tie? I am looking at them right now. That's funny, you made no mention of a statistical tie a few weeks ago when the Libeerals were ahead in the Decima Research poll by one point. Your skewed views only give you an inaccurate perception of what is actually going on, and like I said, I hope all Liberal supporters are similarly as arrogant. And after picking a guy who eats his hot dogs with a fork and knife, I'm pretty sure they are. Quote
