total failure, false intel, corrupt gov., total lack of leadership, failure to serve the Brits.

Insults are the ammunition of the unintelligent - do not use them. It is okay to criticize a policy, decision, action or comment. Such criticism is part of healthy debate. It is not okay to criticize a person's character or directly insult them, regardless of their position or actions. Derogatory terms such as "loser", "idiot", etc are not permitted unless the context clearly implies that it is not serious. Rule of thumb: Play the ball, not the person (i.e. tackle the argument, not the person making it).

I had the opportunity to live in London for 6 years ending 2001 and always thought Tony wasn't so bad a guy when he was compared to William Hague. I actually coached one his sons (Euan, I think) in ice hockey for a couple weeks at Alexandra Palace (Ally Pally to the natives.) Nice kid. After coming back home and seeing his (Blairs) reaction after 911, I have to say that he confuses the heck out of me now.

Blair modernized the Labour Party. He literally brought it into the 21st century.

I'd have to agree.

In the end, the Iraq war first and foremost created resolve to remove him as leader. That, and the fact the Labour party had gown self contented and prone to gaffes and corruption. Others in his own party have waited patiently to have a chance at leader. Blair may have kept them waiting too long to avoid a thrashing.

I'd hate to be picky, but your 'poll' only has 4 positive options out of 12. Polster's bias?

Trollsters bias

RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS

If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

No shit, Sherlock.

Frankly I couldn't come up with any more positive categories.

I voted 'None of the above' because I don't have a sense of what sort of administrator he was or how well he was able to address internal UK matters. In terms of foreign policy, though, he stood at the tipping point and gave Bush the little nudge he needed for Iraq. In terms of foreign policy, he was a disaster for World Order. We'll see if Britain will be able to recover or whether the election of Sarkoszy will keep them governmentally on the right. It will be up to the British people soon, I imagine.

"We have seen the enemy and he is us!". Pogo (Walt Kelly).
