Ah, where would we be if jbg didn't jump to the defense of Ricki, or someone who may not even be Ricki but just sounds like it could be him.
I call it as I see it. I'm a lefty, Michael Bluth is a righty, I don't remember Ricki.

Take it to PM's if you wish to discuss such non-sense. The whole group of you are cluttering the forum and wasting everyone else's time. Most of us are here to discuss politics, not to hear about some social drama. That's what PM's are for. It's an annoyance to everyone else here. It seems to be a group of about 10 usual suspects causing the trouble.

Let's get back on topic. Thanks.

So they have announced they ....

..................

Do you write fiction for a living?

What else did Stockwell do?

Was this all done in the dead of night behind the Parliament buildings?

It's obvious a crime was committed and presumably the RCMP will investigate it.

Is the rule of law onl apply to parties other than the Conservatives?

It looks like a crime was committed allright ROTFLMAO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPWAhyjglsI

It would explain how these papers miraculously showed up at this time - you know when there might be an election.

Just where is 145 HELL?

Harper differed with his party on some key policy issues; in 1995, for example, he was one of only two Reform MPs to vote in favour of federal legislation requiring owners to register their guns.

Just where is 145 HELL?

It says 145 Well (Wellington Building) where the opposition research offices were, and its directed to the office of CRG in the same building.

Here's how things work around there: Because of the overlay of unfettered government unionism around Parliament Hill, the boxes have to be transported by union members, after they are labelled by the owners. It is functionally impossible for a box to be "left behind" and then discovered months later, well after the transition team has moved in, cleaned up, and set up their own offices. When the Reform Party moved into the NDP Research offices on Sparks Street in 1993, the NDP had long before moved out. Their filing cabinets still had labels on the file drawers, but the contents had long ago been boxed and moved. Had we found a box with a moving sticker on it, the first order of business would be to call whichever union was in charge of moving boxes and get them to move it.

Not only is this "scandal" a non-issue that was thoroughly discussed in 2000, but the true scandal lies with the rather transparent lie that the box was just found. The Liberals apparently haven't learned anything from being drummed out of office for general skullduggery, and are still up to their tricks. It's sad really.

Has Stockwell stepped aside yet, or is he corruptly continuing to oversee the police investigating the serious allegations about his riding?

It would be highly irregular and rather shocking for him to continue as minister responsible for the RCMP, given that the fax the Liberals found makes it clear that the member who gave up his riding did so on the basis of a 'negotiation'.

Posted

The allegations were long ago dismissed. He'll likely step down if the RCMP finds it worth while to take a second look, despite all of this being known before.

I think Figleaf's point was that Stockwell Day is the minister responsible for the RCMP while the RCMP is deciding whether to take another look.

Also, it wasn't all known before. It was concluded that he accepted money, but that it had no bearing on his resignation. The new evidence, if true, shows that his resignation was in fact contingent upon payment, which would be a crime under the criminal code.

Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable.

Thanks for straightening that out I thought maybe Hell was the opposition benches :)-

Clearly this is a non issue and I agree, the scandal is indeed with the Liberal skullduggery - whoda thunk it of them really :D

Found where? Youtube video presents a good question. Where was it stolen from?

Charges should be laid.

Holland should resign until the RCMP decide if they should investigate.

What youtube video? I heard it was found among paper left by the tories in the office of the opposition.

Charges should be laid.

Against Hart, Stock or Rod Love?

Holland should resign until the RCMP decide if they should investigate.

What a thorougly imbecilic comment!

Don't you see how that is insufficient? Waiting until his minions decide he's done nothing wrong doesn't solve the conflict of interest that it is HIS MINIONS purporting to decide nothing is wrong.

Indeed, he helped himself to private property, and I just heard that The Conservatives on a point of privilege, have asked that Holland be considered, "in contempt of Parliament" for his actions regarding the personal files he has rifled through, the Speaker will allow Holland to respond before he makes a ruling!

Has this fax been published?

Was this a fax that was taken out of boxes clearly marked to be moved to the PMO that were siupposedly "found" by Mark Holland in contravention of the Parliament of Canada Act?

As a tory supporter I'll say that tactic on Youtube doesn't help out the tories at all. Yah the Liberals might have stole the boxes, but the letter in question still has to be cleared up, it STILL exists.

Sure the issue needs to be dealt with.

However, the Liberal wanna-be Rat Packer Mark Holland lying about how he obtained the document ranks up there with the Gurmant Grewal fiasco.

I guess we can call this Stephane's gang that can't shoot straight.

Exactly. We don't know if Stockwell is guilty or not -- but we do know Holland is and he should resign.

At the very least, this situation has shown that Holland shouldn't be trusted as he is definitely not a man of integrity.

So is 320-3 the official designation of the PMO?

Because that is what I saw for a destination on the you-tube vid.

I would think that for the box to be considered "clearly marked for the PMO" it would have said "Office of the Prime Minister", on it, or at the very least "Conservative Party of Canada."

I saw neither in the vid.

Steve Janke spoke to somebody in the PMO and asked. 320-3 is the address for the PMO was the answer. Here is the link.
