The Butcher is dead Happy New Year

one.revver.com

People that take joy in watching other's die graphically I'm sure have a psychological disorder.

Two Jewish holidays, Chanukah and Purim, are pure celebrations of the destruction of tyrants. There is nothing twisted about celebrating the death of a very bad man.

There are some absolute rights and wrongs still.

  • Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone."
  • Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds.

  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Celebrating the end of a despotic regime is fantastic. Getting your entertainment from watching a human being hanged is barbaric. There is a reason why we don't do such things in public anymore.

I always thought we were more culturally advanced then those crazies we see on TV out in the streets chanting and burning flags. But when people are celebrating and watching people being hanged here, I really question that.

Any number of them.

Thanks for the link, I've been waiting to see this video. It's not often we see something good happen in this world anymore.

You can also download it , check on the right hand panel.

I burnt mine to cd as a keepsake. :D

my younger brother is 19, big age gap there, and hes about to be deployed in his Light armor recon battalion into Rawaa Iraq, One thing I noticed about myself is that my sympathy for the Iraqi citizen went right out the window when i found out he was getting deployed there. Call me crazy, but between him and and an Iraqi i hope he kills the any iraqi who even points a gun at him. That may be sadistic, but i want my brother to come home bottom line. And yes, I did whoop him a good one for joining the Marine corps last year.

Agreed. It really disgusts me to see that behaviour.

Ah just the kind of sparkling repartee I've come to expect from the FreeDumb Force. Anyway, I don't expect you'll last long here, what with not being able to clog every post with animated gifs of Stars'n'Stripes draped teddy bears weeping tears of blood over the smouldering wreckage of the WTC and all.

ANYWAY...getting back to the topic. Saddam was terrible and his death, though barbaric, is not to be mourned. But then, it probably wasn't worth the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis to achieve.

Also: the priapic glee of some posters here is ironic, given the same posters' stance viz the Iraqi people. IOW, shorter jbg et al: "Saddam deserved to die for the horrible crimes he committed against the Iraqi people, who are really just a bunch of fucking ignorant ingrates who we should either be slaughtering with Saddam-like vigour or abandoning to their own devices so that they can keep on slaughtering each other for all we care."

I knew there was something I liked about this forums. No garbage to look at. Links and text are where it's at. Most people cannot handle text unless it is l33t sp34k.

Obviously this man knows what he is talking about. Since no one else has the balls to stand up against the Black Dog. And the response to Black Dog's agrument is rock solid as proven in the above statement. Roy's fantastic approach to this argument is in no way flawed. I am under the impression if a debate actually took place between Black Dog and Roy Wilson, ... I am expecting Roy to Cartman it up and leave Black Dog by himself to argue the points of both sides. Way to Go ROY !!!! You win at the Internets.

True. There is a fascination with death. I am fascinated. I watched the video, and I died a little myself on the inside. It was not gruesome compared to some war/death/killing video you can find on the Internet. I believe his hanging should have been televised throughout the world. Everything is so sanitized by the MSM that people cannot have feelings about the incident. The public views it and forgets it. All those soldiers coffins comming home to the US should have been televised. Major operations in Iraq should be televised...... BUT NOT SANITIZED. Give people the raw unbiased camera footage without commentary and let them make up their own minds. People should be disturbed by watching someone else die. It should affect them so they never forget.

There is always satisfaction from seeing the mighty and wicked fall.

Go crawl back to FD, Wilson. We have enough nutjobs here as it is.

Have you ever been to FD? They have a diversity of opinion, much like this Board does.

I feel that is an ignoble reason.

Given that Saddam Hussein is now silenced by his death (much like Slobodan Milosevic's mysterious death in prison), his execution is worse than lying and fabricating stories in history books.

We do not have time for a meeting of the flat earth society.

Yes I have. And no, it does not.

For all your talk of Arab barbarism, you sure don't have a problem with it when it suits your ends.

Now they look over their shoulders to see an American soldier. "Is said soldier going to shoot me? Do I look like an insurgent?"

They are walking on eggshells over there now and will continue to do so until America takes it's leave.

That's just silly. The Americans may not be perfect, but they're not habitual butchers like Saddam or his "Republican Guard". Why not stop the reflex criticism of forces for good in the world?

Reflex criticism? Not. Well thought out and decided upon criticism, yes.

Hardly. More like you believe everything you read in the media

At least the Iraqi people knew who the enemy was didn't they.

Nope - their neighobours informed for favours - their bosses did it for gain - you are so out of touch.

Now it can be there next door neighbour or an American soldier might think that they are the "bad guy".

Yup - it was before and it is now. But the Yankee dogface does not wantonly kill - unlike the portrayal of the media. In fact they are afraid to pull the trigger in event they are charged with murder - It has taken away the ability to shoot first - a bad thing - you generally have to have something in the air - coming your way before you can open fire - I wish people like you would speak about this shit only after you had been there instead of in your lotusland life protected by your locks and your herbologist.

Good Iraqis wear red and bad Iraqis wear blue?

Smart assed comment providing nothing - perhaps you would like to add Polish wearing green and so on?

How can you tell an insurgent from a citizen?

You cannot you dummie!!! That is the frigging problem. It is scary - ever been so shit scared you shook? Yeah the American bad man - is more frightened than the average Haji - because he does not know who is who in the zoo - and he gets kicked every day by people like you.

Well actually you sometimes can. They sweat. They are scared. They are usually chanting under their breathe - their eyes are not happy ones - and if you let them get close you die. But you have to learn to pick this out - that way they die first. In fact the Hajis kill more of their own than the soldiers have or will.

How can a citizen tell the difference, let alone a soldier from a foreign country?

Trust me - the citizens know. They all know - when things are about to happen the cars start leaving - filled with people - that is how it almost always starts. It is the same in afghanistan and it is the same in Lebanon and it is the same in all those damned third world countries that Canadians pity rather than fear - and fear them they should.

*Force for good in the world? Pffft. The Propaganda is working well on you I see.

You self righteous B*&^%*& - you only have the ability to speak as you do because so many laid down their lives - and I would bet you would be one to have spit on any Canuck who served in Vietnam.

Iraq and Afghan Land are on - they will not stop now - one is American initiative and one is NATO initiative - bottom line is the west will be there for years and cannot leave - to leave is to lose and this war cannot be lost - otherwise it WILL come to you in Lotusland.

If Americans believe they are a force for good in the world, why do they insist on wearing a maple leaf when they travel overseas?

Funny - I travel the world on a monthly basis - I have heard of this but never seen it. A myth.

*Lovely marketing tag line there  .

You are weak and have little true knowledge of what is happening there - it shows.

Apologies to to others.
